ESTATE SALE 1971 CHRIS CRAFT 42 COMMANDERAFT CABIN TWIN FORD 460 C.I. STRAIGHT DRIVE INBOARD ENGINES Classic 42’ Commander Aft Cabin with many expensive upgrades. This has been a local Lake St. Clair boat since new. Her most recent owner of 15 years spent much time and money on upgrades over the years. This boat is being offered for sale due to the owner’s passing. The previous owner re-powered this boat approximately 100 hours ago with big block 460 c.i. Ford V-8 motors coupled to new Z.F. Hurth transmissions. These motors are naturally aspirated and feature custom stainless steel exhaust, new shafts and 4 blade props. The owner easily spent what we are asking for the entire boat, just on the re-power alone. Other custom professionally crafted upgrades include:· Teak bow pulpit· Anchor Windlass· Stainless Steel railings to replace original life lines· Teak toe rails replaced· Radar Arch· Enlarged galley with full size fridge and built-in microwave· Aft Cabin queen size bed to replace twin beds The electronics on the boat are vintage. Radar, GPS, Depth Sounder, Trim Tabs, Spotlight and gauges are all in working order. VHF, Sniffer, Horns are not operable. The hull is in very good condition, very shiny, with no signs of major repairs or damage. The spray rail stainless cap has a few dings on either side towards the aft on both sides. The bottom is very good with no build up of bottom paint. It would appear that the bottom was stripped in recent years. The Canvas is in good condition and includes top, side curtains and straight back-drop as well as helm, Captain’s seat, aft deck seats and bow seat covers. Exterior seating all in good shape. The cabin headliner is good. Cabin soft goods are in need of replacement. Carpet, bedding, curtains are all dated. These upgrades would make the boat a star! Also, the forward V-berth cabin needs new wallpaper. The Two Marine Air/Heat units function properly. Onan 6.5KW Generator starts, but won’t stay running, needs tune-up. Hot water tank operation has not been tested. Two electric flush heads fore and aft. Owners Manuals present. SEE VIDEOS OF BOAT RUNNING ON LAKE ST. CLAIR, OCTOBER, 2016 The boat has just been hauled and blocked for the winter and is available for inspection by appointment. 16' Alumacraft, 1997 90hp Mercury, & 44lb Minn Kota: All sold together for $4,999. Also included in that price: 1.) Lowrance X70A wide-screen locator 2.) AquaTronics MS-700 Marine/FM/AM radio (uilt-in speakers) 3.) High Back, heavy-duty swivel seats (3) 4.) Spare aluminum prop for 90hp Mercury Motor 5.) Yacht Club galvanized, bunker-style trailer. 6.) TWO Optima Spiral-Cell batteries. 7.) One spare trailer axle 8.) Heavy-duty pivoting tongue jack 9.) Spring-loaded transom saver 10.) Extra 2-stroke oil and a fire extinguisher 11.) Windshield (removable) 12.) Anchor (18lb) and rope 13.) Canvas cover 14.) Life jackets, and throwable preserver 15.) Bearing Buddies on axles. 16.) Extra gauges: Water-pressure & hour meter for the 90hp motor. Everything was kept in a dry, heated garage (except when fishing). Rarely did I fish in the rain, so things are in great shape. If you would like the Honda BF8A 8hp motor (includes 5gal tank and spare ultra-low-pitch prop for trolling), that is $900 extra. Buyer must come to Schenectady, NY to pick up. Here are some details of the big ticket items (boat, motors and trailer): The main power plant is a 90hp 1997 2-stroke Mercury (Serial code on engine block: 90 ELPTO-1997). Note: Later model boats no longer allow a 90 on a 16' boat. Trust me: A 90 is perfect for a 16' deep vee boat. I had a 75 on this before and it was OK. However, I can't imagine a 16' deep vee (or anything larger) with anything less than that as it would be really under-powered. This motor is incredibly reliable, starts every year (first try), very little smoke, and only has 122 hours on it. The water-stream is incredibly strong. At cruising speed, it's really smooth and quiet. It was always wintered in a heated garage and, believe it or not, is still running the original spark plugs. They look great! For trolling I use the 8hp Honda BF8A made in 1995. This is a twin-cylinder 4-stroke engine that purrs like a kitten while trolling. I have a low-pitch prop on it for extra control at low speeds. It's really sweet. I have the two motors linked together so you can steer from the main steering wheel and troll in comfort. I include a 5-gallon gas tank as shown. I also include not just the owners manual, but a detailed shop manual, too! For position fishing I use the 44lb thrust Minn Kota. The extra-large foot pedal is great and very comfortable. The inverter drive sips the battery for long run times. I include a spare inverter, too (I bought one thinking mine was broke, but it was just a low battery, so I have kept it as a spare). There is a transducer on the trolling motor and with a quick disconnect, you can watch from that sonar unit instead of the one off the back of the boat. Actually, this is very convenient when trolling as you get to see the bottom and fish 16' ahead of time (less likelihood the fish are spooked and you don't see 'em). Just leave it down while trolling. The trailer is a Yacht Club brand, galvanized trailer with new tires. It's bunker style. There are Bearing Buddies on the axles, too (a nice add-on I did). The whole rig trailers well and I baby the boat, never doing drive-ons (I always winch up). The boat has 5 different positions for seats. You will notice that the back two seat (floor) plates are removed. I found them to be annoying while walking around in the back of the boat, so I pulled them out and plugged the holes with wood blocks. I have the plates and screws and include them w/the package. If you want to put them back in, you can. But, most likely, you won't want them in, either. There is ample rod storage (both locked/enclosed and exposed). There's a long live well to hold those monster bass and Northern. It has an aerator. The boat has electric bilge pump, too. There are thee locking plus two more not-locked storage compartments. For gauges, there is a water-pressure gauge (the most critical gauge you can have) for the big 90hp motor. With that, you'll never risk a water-pump issue and burning up your block. I also have an hour meter to clock usage time of the Merc. Of course, there's a fuel gauge for the main gas tank, too. Everything was kept in a dry, heated garage (except when fishing). Rarely did I fish in the rain, so things are in great shape. Contact me via eMail or call me (John) at show contact info between 7 and 10pm on week days and during the day (8am to 8pm) Eastern time on weekends.

Please contact boat owner John at 215-284-6333. Catalina 30 Mark II -- built in 1987. She is a Tall Rig with Bow Sprite and Wing Keel. This boat has been well maintained and significantly upgraded throughout. This sale includes full sailboat documentation, and the sailboat has a clean title. The sailboat (inside and out) is in real nice condition, and show only normal wear for a sailboat of its age. The sailboat has seen lots of maintenance, upgrades and replacements. She starts, runs, motors, and sails very nicely. The fiberglass interior and interior wood trim are all in good condition. The interior has matching blue seat cushions throughout, and are in good condition (non-smoker owner). A newer 12 volt low level cabin lighting systems both white and red colors was installed throughout the sailboat ('09 Season). The Catalina 30 is one of only 24 sailboats inducted into the Sail America, American Sailboat Hall of Fame. The C30 joins this venerable group of sailing yachts, based upon its sheer excellence as a cruiser / racer sailboat. We love it for its generous interior size, and comfortable cruising ability. See the web link http://www.sailamerica.com/halloffame/catalina30.asp for more information. The sailboat is a Tall Rig Mast (mast rewired '10 season), with Bow Sprite, and a Wing Keel (wing keel drafts only 3'10") so she can get in and out of shallow water easily. The sailboat has 2 large anchors, a large hinged plow anchor (primary) and a large Danforth type anchor as well. Both with 20'chain and 150' long rodes. The engine is a well serviced, very dependable M-25 XP 3-Cylinder Universal Diesel (25hp) engine in good working condition. BOAT OWNER'S NOTES; Call John at 434-990-1943. Chris Craft 350 Catalina $17,900 "AS IS", Please read my Autobiography. Hello, I am THERAPY IV and was launched in 1980 - one of the early Fiberglass Chris Crafts and I am currently located in Northern Neck, Virginia. My primary responsibility was to provide great THERAPY for my Captain and his bride of more than 50 years; my secondary responsibility was serving my country as a USGS Auxiliary Safety Patrol Boat from 2003 - 2008 performing vessel facility inspections. My 3 blade propeller is powered by two rebuilt 270 HP inboard GM 350s with less than 100 hours use, I could cruise effortlessly at 14 knots and I could give you 24 knots max anytime you ask fueled by 175 gallon tanks. Just before my owner passed away three years ago he had trouble starting my engines and had a mechanic take a look at me, The mechanic said my carburetors needed to be rebuilt (due to the new kind of gasoline). My rebuilt carburetors arrived just about the time my owner passed away and were installed and tested in 2010, The mechanic also reported my port engine needed some repair and that my batteries needed replacing, *please see notes below. Now for the good news and the rest of my story, my hull is a Modified Vee, with a 35 foot length and 13 foot beam and my dry weight is 17,229 pounds, with accommodations that include a great fully equipped galley area with Oven and Electric Range 3 burner Princess, Microwave and full-size refrigerator, 4 twin berths for comfortable sleeping, 2 cabins, and 1 Marine head w/holding tank w/deck pump out including lavatory and shower w/hot water. My inside support hardware, electronics, and equipment include a depth finder, log-speedometer, compass, GPS, ICOM VHF w/hailer, a DVD player, an Electric bilge pump, 2 - Zone Air conditioning Heat/Cooling, shore power inlet, Onan 6.5 Generator, and for rigging a steering wheel. My outside support includes cockpit cushions, Cockpit cushions, Swim platform w/boarding ladder, Bimini Top,Fume and co2 detector, Danforth anchor *My owners spouse is selling me "AS IS" based upon the mechanic's comments. =========================================================.
