Up for sale is a 1950 Chris Craft Special Runabout. This boat is in great condition for its age, and would be a perfect boat for a complete restoration. This boat has all the original hardware, good windshield glass, good upholstery, and has a fully rebuilt motor. The motor is a model K Hercules 95HP, which as stated above, has been completely rebuilt. I have all the paperwork and receipts regarding the rebuild from the previous owners. The bottom was re-planked a few years ago by the previous owners as well, and I have all that paperwork for it. The hull is in great shape, there are two minor places of rot above the water line and will need to be addressed prior to splashing the boat. All of the brightwork would love to be refinished although it could be used as-is. The trailer you see in the pictures comes with the boat, it is old and tired but should get you home (within 100 miles) . If you're traveling from a far distance I wouldn't recommend trailering this boat home, although that decision is yours to make. The boat has a clean and clear title, the trailer will come with a bill of sale. I can deliver for a fee! Up to 100 miles, no more than that.

Up for sale for the first time since her total restoration in 1991 is this one of a kind 19’ Chris Craft 1950 Racing Runabout. Out of 503 R19 Racing Runabouts produced, she is the only craft to receive an ML 145hp engine and is one of 206 varnished hulls produced out of that number. Purchased in South Bend, Indiana in 1990, a two year painstaking restoration produced a boat that was exactly as she was made in 1950 at the Algonac, Michigan plant. This boat is as original as it gets from the Reed & Prince screws, seat cushions, 6v. system, original chrome and stainless to the diagonal inner planking with canvas and wood plank bottom. Years were spent researching the archives at Newport News to find only the rarest of boats. The hope is that you appreciate the endeavor to preserve history for future generations and respect the originality and integrity of R-19-291. She is better than the day she was made. Shown by appointment. Water test and Marine survey available at buyers expense.

For your consideration is a 1950 Chris Craft 23' Holiday project boat. First the bad:This boat will require extensive wood replacement including a new bottom, decks and some side planking. Not to mention an engine rebuild, interior and rechroming. To put it bluntly, it's rough. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Now the good:It has most of its original hardware, including the expensive stuff like windshield, large deck vents, column shift, lifting eye and cleat, and the Iva-Lite. The rub rails are all there as is the exhaust pipe (kinked but repairable), prop and shaft, rudder etc. Also included is the original Chris Craft MBL 158 hp engine. Other than it not being seized, the condition is unknown. The exhaust manifold is cracked on the lower aft edge. The monel gas tank is there too andf in good condition. I have the gauges and panel and side vents also There were only 88 of these made in the early 50s and very few have survived. This one is hull # H - 23 - 016. She would make a great family boat or cocktail cruiser ( It has a built in liquor cabinet from the factory) when completed with its high freeboard and 8 ft wide beam. The MBL engine is said to provide plenty of power and good maneuverability for a boat of this size given its relatively shallow draft. Here's your chance to own a wonderful rare boat that deserves to be saved for future generations. I just don't have the time or resources now. Trailer is NOT included The boat is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if it sells. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask questions since I can explain better than I can type. Evening Phone (203) 484-4896 ask for Mike

1991 Chris Craft Crowne Chris-Craft is a legendary name in the world of power boats. The classic nameplate alone implies more than a century of evolutionary boating design. From classic woody speedsters and stately cabin cruisers to mahogany side boards, 1950s fins and snout-nosed stems, Chris-Craft has evolved through generations of radical styles and tastes. The company has set some trends and followed others, marketing to satisfy the boating masses. Chris-Craft is a survivor that has thrived through the years, and has built a reputation for reliability. Its latest line of family cruisers illustrates this. Under new OMC ownership, the company has completely retooled and restyled its fleet for 1991. The 302 Crowne just might be Chris-Craft’s hottest new boat. With an aerodynamic, molded look, wrap-around windshield and stylish, low maintenance features, this open express cruiser is a finely styled blend of gusto and comfort suited for growing families who enjoy a lot of activities on the water. On deck, the 302’s tiered integral transom is styled with a curvacious stern swim step. It is equipped with a hot and cold shower, swinging transom gate and fender sockets that double as scuba tank holders. A wrap-around sport lounge is just a few steps away, along with a table, wet bar, sink and ice box. The cockpit is framed overhead by a rakish radar arch. On the other side of the arch, the 302’s helm is sporty enough to fuel the performance fantasies of any driver. With its array of round, businesslike gauges that come with five year warranties, glossy laminate surfaces and designer-trimmed panels and sport steering wheel, the 302 also is a cruising weekend home. The helm’s companion seat and side-facing double seat provide a sociable setting in the midst of all the â go fastâ excitement. Our test boat, provided by Rudy Bankson at Seattle’s Yachts Northwest, is the first 302 Crowne delivered on the West Coast. It proved itself to be a feisty speedster. Equipped with twin 260 hp OMC Cobra 5.7 Liter stern drives, the test boat popped onto plane and quickly hit speeds of nearly 45 mph. We idled out of Lake Union through Montlake Cut and onto Lake Washington, where conditions were like a mill pond. The wake was silky smooth, almost flat, and the counter-rotating stainless steel propellers seemed to offer ample control. They kept things smooth and quiet on a ride that had us cutting turns steadily at full throttle without a slip or jog. Buyers also may opt for the next step up in power packages: twin OMC Cobra 7.4 Liter drives that pump out 330 hp. These undoubtedly would have taken our test boat over the 50 mph mark. The standard OMC Cobra twin 5.0 Liter stern drive offers a cruising speed of 30 mph, compared to our power plant that kept us at a quiet rev, cruising at 35 mph. Between the variety of engine sizes, the 150 gallon fuel capacity offers a cruising range of 182 miles with the smaller 5.0 Liter engi

2001 Chris-Craft 26 Constellation 2001 Chris-Craft 26 constellation with a Generator  The Chris-Craft name goes back to 1884, when Chris Smith got married, settled down and began building small craft and racing boats in Algonac, Mich. By the 1950s and ’60s the company was one of the largest builders in the world, and nearly half the boats in the United States came out of its factories. Popular models included the Catalina, a 50-foot cabin boat that slept 10, and the family-priced Cavalier overnighter. Chris-Craft’s line of Constellation cabin cruisers, or “Connies,” was one of its most popular, and the 26 Constellation carries on that nameplate. Intended as a family overnighter, it’s a recent design that’s no longer in production, and most — if not all — of the boats were built between 2001 and ’03. After financial struggles in the 1980s and ’90s, Chris-Craft, now based in Florida under new ownership, has made a comeback with a line of distinctive, high-end runabouts and family cruisers from 20 to 40 feet. feet. Chris-Craft offerings today include the open Launch, Lancer and Catalina models from 20 to 28 feet, Corsair cuddy models from 25 to 36 feet, and the 40 Roamer family cruiser.
