The boat needs some work and a good cleaning. The kitchen looks good and all the appliances are in good condition. It is the current owner's understanding that she has spent the entirety of her life in the Thousand Islands Region of New York and along the St. Lawrence River; and the legend goes that in 1970 she participated in the Clayton Antique Boat Show. She has a beautiful white hull, with a beautifully varnished bow and stern, brass fittings and is powered with a 1957 Chris Craft Model K 95hp marine inboard engine and has Cedar planking over oak ribs with mahogany transom. She has a custom canvas mooring cover included (white), with new gray indoor-outdoor carpet covering floor, and newer Hunter green seating upholstery that is in perfect condition. 1957 Chris-Craft Capri,This is a solid vintage Chris Craft Runabout with no obvious evidence of serious deterioration or damage. Previous owners kept the boat in excellent condition and performed much of the work detailed below. With some work the boat can be made ready to use or its a great starting platform for a serious collector interested in a partial or total restoration project. Chris Craft Marine KL Series Engine runs well and transmission works properly. Have receipts showing rebuilt engine purchase (rebuild by LaPointes Classic Boat & Motor) and installation in 2001, carburetor rebuild in 2001, and transmission rebuild in 2002. Interior is in very good condition and obviously re-upholstered (date unknown). Minor re-wiring was performed to ensure navigation lights and bilge pump function correctly. I have always stored the boat covered. Custom fitted canvas cover with vent cap included. I have winterized every year (i.e. antifreeze flush, cooling jacket drain where possible, oil change, cylinder oil fog, and all openings sealed). Old canvas bottom liner removed and replaced in approximately 2005 with upgraded epoxy liner (have notes to this effect).Dilly trailer with new wheel bearings and buddy bearing caps (external grease application capable), completely re-wired with new LED lights. Rear guide posts added. New spare tire on a tongue mount included. D-ring tie-down points added with ratchet straps for tie down included.Hull and topside caulking has cracked out resulting in leakage. With new caulking (and other Buyer determined repairs) installed the boat could be ready to run. It appears that over the years various wiring changes have been made. The boat could stand to be re-wired. It appears as though the gauges are electrically functional though other switches on the dash are not (Buyer will need to make a determination). Currently has a 6-volt electrical system and original style generator.Have original purchase order and generic electrical wiring drawings from The Mariners Museum Library in Newport News, VA.Higher resolution photos and video showing engine and transmission operating are available on CD. Rebuilt tach and gauges. New windshield. Everything re-chromed. 14 coats of varnish . 12 volt electrical system. Sony Marine stereo and speakers for great sound.
