The seller has had this 2000 Monterey 302 regularly maintained and serviced by a well respected local / regional marine service operation since owning it. Receipts are available for review during a showing or survey. Both engines and the generator are currently winterized and were working without issues when last used. There are no hour meters for the engines or generator but both have a documented service history, with receipts, from 2016 when the current owners bought the boat, to present. Interior and exterior lighting was upgraded to LED service and a new JL Audio system was installed with an amp and subwoofer. The captain will be right at home in front of a well laid out helm with analog gauges for both motors and other items including trim indicators. A walk through the split windscreen provides access topside to the windlass hardware but will likely be more popular to use the bow sun pad floating away an afternoon on the water. A walk below deck finds a cabin that benefits from the extra width of the 10'6" beam with a convertible dinette to port and the galley and head midship on the starboard side. 2009 Monterey 280 Scr, Brokers fee of 5% for bringing a buyer accepted. However, please do not call me to ask me to list my boat with your firm. I'm selling my Monterey 280 Sport Yacht express cruiser. Since moving to waterfront my family doesn't overnight ever, so I'm selling this boat and going to get a smaller walkaround. I sold my 2000 Monterey 302 in the spring of 2011 and found this 2009 in the sales warehouse at Anchor Boats in North East MD that summer. While I wasn't really looking for another cruiser, the new design really caught my attention. This boat is extremely efficient and very comfortable. The passage from swim platform to bow is open and safe. The half hard top offers plenty of shade and a safe grab returning from the bow. The enclosure has been installed only twice and in new condition. The factory mooring cover is in good condition but needs a few snaps repaired. The optional cockpit fridge and island seating puts everything you need for an outing in easy reach. Monterey really stepped up the fit and finish with all stainless steel drink holders and hardware. Even the fuel water and waste vents come standard with recessed stainless steel fittings. The pop up cleats are large and show no signs of rust...high quality. Down below this boat is fashion forward with high end fabrics and pillow combinations. The placement of port holes create great venting. Rarely is the air conditioning necessary. A 12V fan provides thorough cooling. The boat is equipped with AC/heat and is easily run from a 2000W portable generator, and able to maintain low 70 temps on mid 90 days. Storage on the boat is well thought out with plenty of hanging lockers, cabinets, and a place to store both tables (something the last Monterey lacked). The bathroom offers a great functional layout as does the galley. The single engine power for this boat makes it fast and efficient. At 3200rpm the boat runs about 27mph and burns about 11gph. At 3400, the boat jumps into the low 30s and drinks about 13gph. It tops out in the mid 40s with bottom paint. The engine is a Volvo 375 HP 8.1 big block coupled to an Ocean X duoprop drive. Volvo kindly swapped out the composite drive before it was purchased. The drive train is covered by Volvo's platinum 7 year warranty and is fully transferable. The engine is raw water cooled but includes the nuetra salt system which has been used after every time I ran the boat. The boat has 85 hours on the engine.
