Rawson 26 foot sailboat: One of only 22 ever built. Hand laid fiberglass. The design is similar to the T-birds of the same era. This boat is in excellent condition for its age and has been a great boat for the family, which has now grown too large for us to comfortably sail this boat; we will be looking for something bigger. We've had it across the San Juans numerous times. It's a very stable boat and sails well; I've had it out in 25 knot winds with 4-6 foot seas across the straight more than once. The hull and exterior are in great shape and with a little TLC on the inside this boat has a lot of potential. That said, this was purchased as a restoration project and though most of the work is completed there's still a little left to do. Added a two-burner alcohol stove New Electrical system, wiring, and cabin lights New battery charger New fresh-water tank, plumbing, pump sink, and external freshwater fill New portable head Replaced berth cushion foam (need new upholstery New laminate floor (water proof) New paint on the deck and in the cockpit. Old deck fittings patched/filled before painting Pop-top need some love, but is functional. Needs new paint on the inside, but the surface has been sanded / prepped where necessary for the most part. It wouldn't take much to restore this. Needs new bottom paint, but the hull is clean. http: sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=5765 Equipment: 4 sails, all in great shape: Original main sail and spinnaker; 160 genoa; working jib. 2 jib halyards 1 main halyards 1 spinnaker down/up haul 2 3-sheet rope clutch cleats for halyards (1 port, 1 starboard) 2 3-sheet guides (1 port, 1 starboard) 2 lewmar 18 winches on deck for halyards Everything has been rigged back to the cockpit for single-handed sailing 2 recently serviced and rechromed Lewmar 26 winches with standard cleats Spinnaker mast eye traveler on track at front of mast Mainsheet traveler and track Boom traveler and track 2 adjustable cockpit cup holders :-) New 2014 mercury 9.9 outboard motor and tank (still under manufacturer's 3-year warranty) not included - listed at $1500 OBO Asking $2,625 without the motor; additional $1,500 for the motor; will consider all offers.

Aside from the obvious cosmetic issues, this 1979 C&C Encounter 26 appears to be in pretty decent mechanical and operational condition. Please note, however, that there is some evidence of water intrusion on the bulkhead between the salon and the head on the port side. The seller states "...seems to be from the chain plates. It will occasionally leak a little with heavy rain. It has not been remedied". It is recommended that buyers rely only on their own experience/expertise or that of a qualified marine surveyor when making their purchase decision. Stock #276217 Lots of Boat for the Money!! Ready For the Next Adventure!! Includes a Suzuki 6 HP 4-Stroke OB!! There may not be a better deal on a sailboat anywhere else on the web. Aside from needing a paint job, this 1979 C&C Encounter 26 is in great shape for its age. This Encounter 26 is similar to the original C&C 26, however with a shorter keel, shorter rig, and a heavier displacement. This makes this sloop a great rig for running over to the Bahamas...and this one knows the way! It's made the trip many times. Below there is a good-sized salon with a folding table, a head forward of the salon, and a V-berth in the peak. The galley has an Origo 2-burner stainless steel unpressurized alcohol stove, a stainless steel sink with both fresh and raw water pumps, and a new Frigo 12V refrigerator. Above there is a fully-battened loose-footed main, a Harken main traveler, and a boom with end-boom sheeting, all new in 2020. This allowed the traveler to be moved from the companionway to the aft end of the cockpit. This change permitted the installation of a new continuous Dodger/Bimini in 2020. There is also a mainsail cover, new in 2020. Additionally, there is a 110% jib with Selden roller furler, a Gennaker, and a storm trysail. Also, since 2020, there is a new boom vang, and all new sheets and halyards with professionally spliced whipped ends and reeving loops. The halyards are all run to the cockpit with new rope clutches. Ground tackle includes a Rocna 10kg (22#) anchor with 170' of 5/16 HT chain and a Fortress 7 anchor with 30' of chain and 150' of rode. These are managed by a manual Lofrans windlass. Electric generation/storage include 280 watts of solar panels with Bluetooth controller, 3 recent lead acid Group 9 batteries and a recent lead acid starting battery, a recent Guest 2 bank battery charger, and new DC panels. There is also a 30 amp shore power with cord and a 50 amp-30 amp converter. Navigation aids include a Garmin Echomap UHD 94sv 9" plotter/sonar with an external transducer mounted on the hull, a Garmin wind indicator, a Ritchie 6" compass, a Raymarine ST2000+ tiller pilot, and a Standard Horizon GX2000 VHF radio with AIS & DSC, all new in 2020. There is also a Boss stereo and a masthead LED tricolor/anchor light, both added in 2020. When the boat is not under sail it is powered by a Yanmar 8HP single-cylinder diesel engine. The engine starts and runs good, but it is believed to be original and the hours are unknown. There's a lot of capable sailboat here for the money. Don't wait...it won't last long!! Reason for selling is going bigger.

The MacGregor 26S MacGregor 26 Swing Keel Sailboat 1994 with Trailer in Excellent Condition ready to Sail! This is a 1994 MacGregor 26S Sailboat with trailer and 8 hp outboard motor in excellent condition. It accepts a 2 inch ball mount trailer hitch. The total trailer weight is about 2000 lbs, so pretty much any V-6 vehicle can tow this without any extra equipment. Any Minivan for example will work fine. It includes everything needed to sail. Three sails including a main, a roller furling Genoa and a drifter / spinnaker are included . This sailboat is wheel steered with binnacle mounted motor remote controls and instruments. Everything is in excellent condition and the trailer tires are brand new Goodyear Marathon trailer tires. It also has an extra motor mount for a trolling motor or small outboard secondary engine. This boat has many upgrades including wheel steering and a Rudder Craft Mac 26S HDPE High Performance Replacement Rudder as well as the stock rudder as a spare, a MMSD pump out porta toilet, a CDI roller furling Genoa and a main sail cover as well as life lines and bow and stern pulpits, a swim ladder, a solar panel and an Autohelm ST 30 Bidata to name a few. The 8 HP Tohatsu (Nissan) outboard model M8B also has electric start and an alternator. The MacGregor 26S, 1990 to 1995, replaced the dagger board with a swing centerboard (which kicks up in an accidental grounding) and made other smaller changes. Together, the 26D and 26S are often called the "classic" MacGregor 26, and sometimes the 26C. Owners of these earlier models tend to refer to them as "the real sailboats" prior to the changes coming with the MacGregor 26X. The V-berth can handle 2 people/kids and has storage underneath, the settee can accommodate another person and plenty more storage under there, in the cabin galley /kitchen area is a sink and a mirrored bulkhead with plenty of storage under the sink. At the time it was the only sailboat that met my budgetary needs, had room enough for my family of three to cruise for up to a week at a time, and trailered well to let us explore waters from Maine to Key West. Yes, it's a light boat, but I had a lot of sailing experience and was cautious and never had trouble in winds to 30 knots - and I didn't try anything foolish like taking it offshore. Yes, the fiberglass was thin, but I avoided running into rocks. I took my 3-year-old out on solo daysails and have no regrets. I sold it to a family of four, their first boat, and heard from them a few years later that they'd thoroughly enjoyed tons of sailing. Thousands of other MacGregor owners have had similar experiences."
