You are bidding on 1989 Albemarle 24 OFFSHORE FISHING BOAT. Known for its 24 degree deadrise and the best ride in its class. It has less than 100hrs since I installed a new longblock. Drive and motor function well. Had it to the stream in May and June and did 200+miles on both trips. Has three side enclosure. Hummingbird 789ci fish finder with thru hull transducer. Reads well. Has two vhf radio's with 8' antennas. The only thing mechanically wrong is the power steering pump bracket is broken. I have been driving it without the power steering because I have not had time to fix it. The hard top is made of wood and needs repair or replace. I didn't use enough glass when I built it but it can be repaired. Hardtop frame is custom and is in good shape. The boat runs great and gets 2.5 mpg on average stream trolling trips. Better on closer to shore trips. Trailer comes with the boat. You get the drive, hull, motor, hardtop,and all electronics. Well worth 15k. This boat is one of the best riding boats ever built. It's the only albemarle made with outboards. I have a 12500lb triple axle triple disc brake trailer. Boat has garmin 5212 touchscreen chart plotter. It has garmin autopilot. Garmin 4ft open array 36 mile radar. It has airmar 1000kw thru hull transducer. Has windlass anchor with 300 ft of rope. 20" LCD TV in cabin. I do have a carry on yamaha generator that mounts on roof. It has live satelite weather and radio. It has DVD and CD player. Lee 25ft triple string outrigger with 12ft double line center rigger. Motors are under warranty until may 2015. All maintenance done by yamaha certified dealer. Boat we'll maintained and kept. Has 228 gallon fuel tank and 21gallon fresh water tank. Boat is in great shape and will get you anywhere in comfort and style. Only reason selling is we purchased a bigger boat. Boat will cruise at 32knots in 4 foot seas. Top speed is 46knots. Boat has all the top of the line options. No cost was spared building this boat. Overall length is 34 ft and 9'6" beam and has 24" draft. Great offshore boat. Why do I say that? Well, if you know Albemarle, then you know Albemarle makes one of the best 24ft Center Console fishing rigs on the market. And what makes this one THE BEST is the fact that it has a brand-new Volvo-Penta Ocean-X Outdrive (installed April 2013). The boat was originally factory-equipped with the trouble-ridden XDP composite outdrive. The Ocean-X was installed by Superior Diesel in North Charleston, SC. I have all the supporting documentation and of course the outdrive is still under warranty. I have owned the boat for three years and I have it serviced every season by Superior Diesel. When the Outdrive was replaced in April, I had the 500-hour service performed. I have all supporting documentation on this as well. I am the third owner of the boat and I have all the original bill of sale data. I also know that the boat has always been either inside dry stacked or in my case lift-kept. I also have all the owners manuals for the boat and all electronics, including the shop manual for the engine. The boat comes with a tandem axel MagicTilt trailer. Two seasons-ago I invested $1,600.00 in updates to the trailer. New tires, new brakes, new brake lines, new master cylinder and new tail/brake light assemblies. The boat also comes with a full custom cover made by T-Top Covers in North Charleston, SC. The cover is only three years old. I am including eight (8) PFDs, All lines, fenders, anchor, line and ground tackle are also included. I recently replaced the GPS antenna and upgraded the software to the latest version for the Garmin 3210. In the spirit of full disclosure, there are a few small items that need attention. The Albemarle-provided Tachometer needs to be replaced. The tach works erratically but the hour meter recently stopped working. The LCD display on the NorthStar fuel management system works intermittently. It appears to be a moisture problem but I haven?t spent any time trying to confirm this. The last time I had it at Superior Diesel for service, my Tech said I have a small exhaust leak on the port-side of the engine and that a new gasket will take care of that. I can take care of these issues prior to the final sell or the purchaser may want to negotiate these somehow. I am open to either. Why am I selling you ask? Our fishing these days is mostly limited to inshore in the Charleston area and here on Lake Murray so, we just dont really need a heavy-duty offshore rig like the Albe. Plus, the wife wants to get something a bit more multipurpose. I hate to see her go, the Albe that is, but, she will make someone a very capable fishing machine. The motor starts right up and runs smooth at any rpm and pumps tons of water. The oil pressure is excellent and the motor runs cool as well. The engine is mated to a Borg Warner Velvet Drive straight inboard transmission that shifts smooth and quiet in both forward and reverse. The running gear including prop is in great condition and operates vibration free. The huge solid bronze rudder is in great shape and issue free. Extra spare prop in mint shape is also included. KEEL DRIVE - Shamrock Boats are made with their patented keel drive system. It’s a fully fiberglass encapsulated keel that completely protects the propeller, adds tremendous stability to the boat giving is a very smooth ride under offshore conditions, it increases fuel economy and adds stability by lowering side to rocking when you are shut down fishing. The bottom of the Keel is reinforced and protected with a solid ¼” built in strip of bronze that protects the keel from any scrapping and is extended to protect the propeller as well. TOP / RADAR ARCH/ ROCKET LAUNCHERS- The factory installed integrated aluminum radar arch / top enclosure with 4 built in rocket launchers is overly built and in great condition. All the welds are tight and everything is secured tightly to the decks STEERING / CONTROLS / CABLES - The steering is smooth, tight and operates the rudder properly. The Morse throttle and shift controls and control cables work properly and operate smoothly from the front station. STEERING / CONTROLS / CABLES – REAR STATION The Rear station will need new control cables and steering cable installed. I have the parts just haven’t had a chance to install them 12 VOLT POWER – The boat is rigged with 2 batteries controlled by a battery selector switch. There is also an onboard battery charger system as well. MISC MECHANICAL- The trim tab motor, switches and tabs themselves works perfectly. There are 2 bilge pumps both with float switches and operate properly. The blower motor works great. The windshield wiper motor works great but it could use new wiper blades. All these items operate properly from their intended switches. GUAGES - The helm comes equipped with a full set of gauges including built in sea water temperature gauge, Volts / charging gauge (charges properly), Temperature (engine runs cool), Tachometer (operates properly), Oil Pressure (excellent), GPH gauge and clock. The gauges are back lit for night usage. Nice built in compass... SWITCHES - Every single switch operates as it should. RAILS / CLEATS / GRAB BARS - All the stainless steel rails, cleats, grab bars and mounted very strongly. The stainless rails are in great shape with no loose rails or bends anywhere. The Stainless cleats are in great shape, strategically placed and solid as rock secured. DECKS AND HATCHES- There is not one soft spot anywhere on any topside deck or the main deck. All the hatches are made of solid fiberglass (no wood core to rot out and aver cause problems).Almost every square inch of every deck is factory made with non-skid to ensure proper footing at all times. The decks are self bailing as well. WINDSHIELD - The Windshield is in excellent condition. All the glass is crack free. The aluminum is in nice shape and with some metal polish would come out amazing, The front and passenger side front lower windshield sections open up for ventilation (one locking knob is missing a $5 part in marine store) WINDOWS AND CABIN HATCH - Inside the Cabin the main hatch is made from solid fiberglass is leak and issue free. There are also 2 opening porthole hatches in the cabin that are leak and issue free. CABIN - The cabin is in decent nice shape. I have brand new cushions being fabricated. The V-Berth is a very good size and with the Insert and additional Cushion it’s a huge amount of sleeping room. The headliner could use a cleaning and a little adhesive but other than that the cabin is very nice with all the teak wood... With some teak oil the cabin would look amazing. The cabin structure is all molded fiberglass including the cabin floor. BATHROOM - The bathroom is located on the left side of the cabin. It is completely enclosed for privacy. EASY ACCESS -This boat was designed for easy access to work on or maintain any and all ships systems. The engine itself can be assessed from either the forward engine hatch or a rear hatch. Transmission and packing shaft can be easily obtained. The rear rudder and steering control systems are accessed from a rear hatch. All decks are screwed down incase you ever needed to access any of the systems. There is also a built in Hose fitting so the engine can be very easily run off a hose, makes it very simple to winterize the engine with non tax and flush out the system. THROUGH HULLS PENETRATIONS- There are 5 through hulls located in the boat. The First being the water intake which has a brass pick up strainer (in mint shape corrosion free and has new zinc) The intake leads a inline manual shut off (works perfectly) then to a large southbay strainer with removable strainer and then feeds into the heat exchanger and cools the antifreeze which cools the engine in the fresh water cooling system. The Second through hull is for the salt water washdown intake which provides salt water for the live well and the salt water wash down spicket under the gunnel... This though hull contains an inline manual shut off valve that operates smoothly and properly. The Third re is a high end built in transducer which is properly installed, secured and leak free. The Fourth is where the Stainless Steel Shaft comes though the stuffing / packing box into the transmission. The stuffing box is in great shape and issue free. The Fifth is where the rudder penetrates the hull to meet the Hydraulic steering arm. This area functions properly and is issue free as well HOSES All the hoses throughout the boat are in great shape and issue free STORAGE - There is tons of storage throughout the boat. Under the V-berth are hatches with access to large individual storage compartments. Plenty of Rod storage with built in rod holders in the cabin and under the gunnels. There are 5 Tackle storage drawers and 4 long Teak shelving compartments and 2 built in deck storage or fish boxes ELECTRONICS - The only electronics that is included with the boat are 2 built in VHF Radios. WINDLESS – The boat comes with a 3 year old Windless with a nice Anchor and chain and plenty of rope. The windless works great and has remote switch located at the helm. FISHBOXES- One huge one rear of the center console mid deck with 2 separate hatches, another good size one in front of the center console before cabin entrance, and a huge one in the cabin. All are self bailing and can be plugged if you choose or add an aerator. COCKPIT- The cockpit is huge with plenty of room for fishing. You have a choice of using the removable rear fishing chair or the 2 new fishing deck chairs with gimbals that are still in the box and come with the boat. ROD HOLDERS AND OUTRIGGERS- The factory installed integrated console seat has 4 built in rod holders and a nice storage compartment it is overly built, secured tight and in great condition. Including separate switch for speader lights (it’s like daylight when fishing at night), Bilge works properly with float switch on Automatic or Manual, Blower works properly and sounds strong. Running lights work as they should. The windless and trim tab controls work fine and are located at the helm. RAILS / CLEATS / GRAB BARS - All the stainless steel rails, cleats, grab bars are mounted very strongly. The stainless rails are in great shape with no loose rails or bends anywhere. The Stainless cleats are in great shape, strategically placed and solid as rock secured. DECKS AND HATCHES- There is not one soft spot anywhere on any topside deck or the main deck. All the hatches are made of solid fiberglass (no wood core to rot out and aver cause problems).Almost every square inch of every deck is factory made with no-skid to ensure proper footing at all times. The decks are self bailing as well. WINDSHIELD - The Windshield is good condition and is crack free. The aluminum is in nice shape and with some metal polish would come out amazing. The center console windshield is smoked dark and although structurally fine it is showing cloudiness and its age. WINDOWS AND CABIN HATCH - Inside the Cabin the main hatch is made from solid fiberglass is leak and issue free. There are also 2 opening porthole hatches in the cabin one should be re-sealed about an hour fix. CABIN - The cabin is all molded in fiberglass floors and sides and contains 1 huge fish box that will self drain into the bilge or can be pulled up as well. There is access to a good size anchor locker. The V-Berth is a very good size and with the removable Insert it adds even more space and yet you can still open the bathroom door. (note door is not stained it was just still wet from being washed down.) The headliner could use a cleaning and a little adhesive but other than that the cabin is very nice with all the teak wood... With some teak oil the cabin would look amazing. The cabin structure is all molded fiberglass including the cabin floor. The few stains in the headliner should comeout with steam cleaning in my opinion, if not you can easily cut them out and replace with the standard color headliner material and some adhesive. The cushions rare in fair condition and are in the process of being re-done. All brand new cushions will be on the boat in the next few days. BATHROOM - The bathroom is located on the left side of the cabin. It is completely enclosed for privacy and a decent size. Porta potti not included. ELECTRONICS – In the above console is a nice stereo with 2 built in speakers (one on each side of overhead console), a Standard Horizon VHF Radio and 2 Garmin units, a Garmin 400c Fish Finder (good for depths to 900ft) and a Garmin 152h GPS / Track Plotter unit (that can store up to 3000 way points and 50 Routes. All work perfectly. EASY ACCESS -This boat was designed for easy access to work on or maintain any and all ships systems. The engine itself can be assessed from either the forward engine hatch or a rear hatch. Transmission and packing shaft can be easily obtained. The rear rudder and steering control systems are accessed from a rear hatch. All decks are screwed down incase you ever needed to access any of the systems. THROUGH HULLS PENETRATIONS- There are 3 through hulls located in the boat. The First being the water intake which has a brass pick up strainer (in mint shape corrosion free and has new zinc) The intake leads a inline manual shut off (works perfectly) The Second is where the Stainless Steel Shaft comes though the stuffing / packing box into the transmission. The stuffing box is in great shape and issue free. The Third is where the rudder penetrates the hull to meet the steering arm. This area functions properly and is issue and leak free as well HOSES All the hoses throughout the boat are in great shape and issue free STORAGE - There is tons of storage throughout the boat. Under the V-berth are hatches with access to large individual storage compartments. Plenty of Rod storage with built in rod holders in the cabin and under the gunnels and room for plenty of tackle in various compartments and 2 built in deck storage or fish boxes. There is also a nice size compartment in the front starboard side before you walk into cabin. MISC ITEMS INCLUDED 1) Life Jackets, Rope Anchor, Etc Bottom Line- Turn the Key and go fishing on one of the most stable offshore fishing platforms you can buy for it’s size TRAILER. There is no trailer included with the boat however a friend of mine is a venture and load rite trailer dealer and I can get you a brand new bunk trailer for the boat for around $3,500 depending on the options you want.
