Why do I say that? Well, if you know Albemarle, then you know Albemarle makes one of the best 24ft Center Console fishing rigs on the market. And what makes this one THE BEST is the fact that it has a brand-new Volvo-Penta Ocean-X Outdrive (installed April 2013). The boat was originally factory-equipped with the trouble-ridden XDP composite outdrive. The Ocean-X was installed by Superior Diesel in North Charleston, SC. I have all the supporting documentation and of course the outdrive is still under warranty. I have owned the boat for three years and I have it serviced every season by Superior Diesel. When the Outdrive was replaced in April, I had the 500-hour service performed. I have all supporting documentation on this as well. I am the third owner of the boat and I have all the original bill of sale data. I also know that the boat has always been either inside dry stacked or in my case lift-kept. I also have all the owners manuals for the boat and all electronics, including the shop manual for the engine. The boat comes with a tandem axel MagicTilt trailer. Two seasons-ago I invested $1,600.00 in updates to the trailer. New tires, new brakes, new brake lines, new master cylinder and new tail/brake light assemblies. The boat also comes with a full custom cover made by T-Top Covers in North Charleston, SC. The cover is only three years old. I am including eight (8) PFDs, All lines, fenders, anchor, line and ground tackle are also included. I recently replaced the GPS antenna and upgraded the software to the latest version for the Garmin 3210. In the spirit of full disclosure, there are a few small items that need attention. The Albemarle-provided Tachometer needs to be replaced. The tach works erratically but the hour meter recently stopped working. The LCD display on the NorthStar fuel management system works intermittently. It appears to be a moisture problem but I haven?t spent any time trying to confirm this. The last time I had it at Superior Diesel for service, my Tech said I have a small exhaust leak on the port-side of the engine and that a new gasket will take care of that. I can take care of these issues prior to the final sell or the purchaser may want to negotiate these somehow. I am open to either. Why am I selling you ask? Our fishing these days is mostly limited to inshore in the Charleston area and here on Lake Murray so, we just dont really need a heavy-duty offshore rig like the Albe. Plus, the wife wants to get something a bit more multipurpose. I hate to see her go, the Albe that is, but, she will make someone a very capable fishing machine.
