1985 Aloha 32 Aloha Yachts were a range of sailing keelboats manufactured in Whitby, Ontario, Canada by Ouyang Boat Works, founded by Ti Ouyang who had previously worked for Whitby Boat Works. After producing a range of 16, 20 and 23 foot trailerable sailboats under the Matilda name, Ouyang introduced the Ted Brewer & Robert Wallstrom designed Aloha 28 in 1973. This was followed by the 34 (also a Brewer & Wallstrom design, in 1975), 27 (also referred to as the 26, 8.2, and 271), by Robert Perry, in 1979, 32 (by Mark Ellis, in 1982) and 30 (by Ron Holland, in 1986). The company also considered acting as North American agents for Robert Perry designed 41 and 47 foot yachts to be manufactured in the far east and sold under the Aloha-Perry name, but after trials with the prototype 41 foot model, decided not to pursue this arrangement. All production boats featured good quality fibreglass construction and well finished teak interiors. A total of between 600 and 700 boats were constructed before the company encountered financial difficulties in a mid-1980's depression in the boat building business, and ceased trading. They remain a popular choice with Canadian and US buyers and are supported by enthusiastic owners associations, the Aloha Owners Association catering to owners of 27, 28, 30 and 32 foot models and the Aloha 34 Network to owners of the Aloha 34.

I've lived on her last five years dockside, underway, on the hard, at anchor and sailing cruising often solo across 20,000 miles of ocean from Seattle down West Coast thru Hawaii into South Pacific & back to Hawaii. I had a two phase plan to refit, fix her up allowing me to enjoy cruising the Pacific Ocean and isles. I completed phase one but developed a condition two years past that now forces me to sell. An alternative to paying $150,000 for a similar in excellent condition or $80,000 with a running old engine worn and soon to fail or mandates a rebuild. Is to buy cheap get a great hull, good rigging & sail gear, anchoring system, versatile spacious interior to be used as is & continue remodeling or redo to your own liking while enjoying life aboard and/or sailing. Or an alternative housing scenario. That alternative is this. The 2010 survey put the boat at a $400,000 replacement cost, a $115,000 - $140,000 refit complete value and $85,000 market value. The prior owner needed a survey for bank loan and insurance. 2010 survey available upon request plus 2012 addendum.

Please call boat owner Chelsea at 831-331-1280. Super Duty 33' ex military gunboat, Former Vessel Assist rescue boat. Fully loaded think six-pac, commercial fishing, towing, salvage, crabber, patrol, light boat. Was originally a navy personnel launch 2 plus 20 so one could get COI for 20 passengers. It was then used as a Sherrifs patrol boat, crabber, tow boat, a live aboard and then a ocean rescue boat. The hull is thick fiberglass and in great shape no blisters or damage. It was made before they cut corners and made production fiberglass boats. Has a forward hydro bow thruster, aft tow post and capstan. Towing lights. Would make a great personnel launch, commercial fishing boat or super duty sport personal fishing boat. I have a survey valuing it at 55k. It has been just painted and the bottom has been surveyed and painted 2013. I have used it in 50 knot gales with no problems. This is a very safe boat that will save your life if you get in a bad spot. The engine has been taken very good care of with oil changes every 200 hours and annual servicing by a certified mechanic. The turbo was has just been replaced less then two hours on it. Has a brand new alternator. Also had a compression check done and the mechanic said it would go another ten years as is and that it does not need a rebuild. The vessel has a new coat of high grade red and white auto paint out side and marine white inside. The boat comes with spares parts. The boat is having a good going through and will be sold in ship shape and in working order. This boat is fondly referred to as the Beast. Not because it is big and ugly but because you can dish it anything and it will chew it up and spit it out. . . That is why my friends are begging me to keep it for my personal use. They even offered to do all the maintenance and pay the slip and insurance for me. But it is time to move on and find the Beast a new master...
