1983 Islander Yachts 30 Bahama Very fair price for a super fun and fast boat - 1983 - 30' Islander Bahama Sloop - great beginner boat, easy to handle and rig. Ready to sail with a coat of bottom paint. Great Bob Finch design, fast and responsive (So far, her top surfing speed in the bay is 8.7 kts), sails very well to weather, she will point well into the wind and still move great. Predictable and controllable weather helm allows for some exciting sailing. Classic, distinctive lines separate this boat from the pack. This is the final year that this boat was built in California, the following year the production was moved to Costa Rica.. Sleeps 4-6 in two double and two single bunks. V forward, two singles in main cabin and double bunk under starboard cockpit. Cockpit sleeps two as well if you like sleeping under the stars for a cozy total of 8 if you are all really good friends. Fold out table in main cabin, port and starboard bunks provide seating for 4 adults. This is a well cared for boat, needs minor work to go sailing. She has been sailed almost everywhere on the Chesapeake Bay. St Michaels, Annapolis, Oxford and Cambridge and Rock Hall are all easy daysails from her current port. She is the perfect bay boat, nimble, fast and balanced. And comfortable at anchor with her heavy duty ground tackle at night. 2016 Sea Fox 22XTR Viper So what does a boat company do when it already builds a solid, well-designed 22' bay boat? Well if you're Sea Fox you "Kick It Up a Notch," which is how you get the 22XTR Viper, the newest addition to the Sea Fox lineup of Viper bay boats. Like the original 220 Viper, the XTR features Sea Fox's full composite construction for the hull, with a large raised deck up front, a large raised deck aft, and a nice roomy center console with room inside for a portable toilet. However the XTR goes the extra step of adding a large 26 Gallon release well incorporated into the forward deck, while deleting the smaller 10 gallon baitwell of the 220 and putting in its place a Yeti cooler with cushioned seating. The rear deck deletes the center bench seat (but keeps the two jump seats) in favor of a large acrylic hatch to another 26 gallon release well. Plus there's another Yeti cooler under the leaning post! Other standard features include a 6" jack plate, LED lighting package, gas shocks on all hatch lids, pre-rig for 4 batteries, pre-rig for trolling motor, three bank battery charger, and a 50" fish box in bow. There are tons of other goodies too, like Bahama Blue full hull color, an aluminum/canvas t-to with electronics box and spreader lights, under gunnel rod storage and Lenco trim tabs. A boat this hot needs a power plant to match, so this XTR is matched with a Yamaha VF250 VMAX SHO four-stroke outboard. How do time to plane of less than 2.5 seconds and a 56 MPH top speed sound to you? Plus you can cruise around all day at 26 MPH and get almost 4 miles per gallon.
