2010 Bavaria Cruiser 50 This BAVARIA 55 Cruiser is still in initial ownership and equipped with a huge number of optional features. The boat was exclusively used for private purposes and all services and maintenance works are carried out continuously. The actual engine hours provide the reason why the owner is looking for another type of boat: a motor sailer. Most of the time of his cruising he used the engines even the sails can be operated easily, thanks to the furling genoa and electric winches, by one person. In case the new owner needs a taxed boat in the European Union, we recommend a cruise to Malta where the boat can be taxed at one of the lowest V.A.T. rates in Europe. A subsequent taxation bases always on the present value of a boat. To enhance her performance (sail area displacement ratio of 4.83 indicating a performance cruiser), the BAVARIA 55 Cruiser is equipped with a twin rudder allowing an optimum water flow to each rudder in the healed position and therefore less drag. At the same time, the twin rudder is entirely redundant which makes it fail-safe. The dinghy garage offers room for a three meter dinghy including the engine. The electrically operated door of the dinghy garage becomes an extensive swim platform when opened.

1995 Bavaria Sloop CURRENT PRICE IS A GUIDE. ALL OFFERS RESPECTFULLY CONSIDERED. Actual ConditionThe vessel was prepped for a trip from New Brunswick Canada to sail down to Florida and the Bahamas; while under way she stuck an object off the coast of Boston. The vessel was brought into Port in Boston where she was hauled and inspected. Personal items were removed and the crew drove home to Canada. The mast and rig look good overall, decks and hull look good, main sail is now inside the mast, woodwork and cautions looks good overall, keel and grid will need to be ground out and fiber glassed. It is believed that she will float without taking on water now in its current condition, but would suggest putting a patch on it prior to moving. There are 2 solar panels up there along with a GPS antenna. Not all the pictures reflect the arch because many of the pictures were taken before the arch was added. There are 4 sails on Excalibur. A Main in good shape, a 135 in good shape, a 150 hardly used, and a cruising spinnaker hardly used. The Volvo engine has about 800 hours of use, a 2 bladed Gori folding prop, and runs great. We have a 1000 watt windlass to make anchoring a pleasure and not a chore. The bottom has no blisters. I have a extra set of zincs, a new impeller and bottom paint for the boat. Excalibur had a recent upgrade to its refrigeration system. She is now fitted with a new Seafrost BD12 air & water cooled system with digital display. The boat is in excellent shape and ready to cruise.We are the first and only owners. Excalibur is USCG documented and registered in the state of North Carolina. There are no loans on the boat. We have sailed her mostly on the east coast from MA to NC. There are no stanchion leaks, and we can help with in-water delivery.
