The overall condition of the 2012 Bayliner 266 Discovery is good. The boat is in need of a good cleaning at the time of the visit. The upholstery is free of any rips, tears or stitching issues. The bow berth has some rotted wood from a window being left open per the seller. Stock #351080 2012 Bayliner Discovery 266 Hardtop! Powered by a Mercruiser engine. The 2012 Bayliner 266 Discovery is a pocket cruiser that provides excellent fishability, protection from the elements, and comfortable accommodations below decks. The aft cockpit area is a great area to fish from. There are four Cannon downriggers with a flip-down rear bench seat to provide unencumbered access to the fishing area. There are two aft-facing seats with storage, rocket launchers, and a working light mounted to the hardtop. Just inside the aft entry door is a hot/cold hand-held shower. The helm area is protected by the three-sided cockpit enclosure with a hard top to protect you from the elements and extend the season. At the helm dash, you'll find a compass, trim tab, windlass, and trim tab controls. Electronics include a FishHawk X4 fishfinder and a Lowrance HDS7 GPS. Below decks, you will be pampered with the accommodations. The V-berth sleeps two comfortably and has storage below. A dinette that seats four can be converted into an additional double berth. Since this is an important investment you may be considering I will try and describe what I am aware of and how I determined what I believe to be a fair selling price. I also would entertain all offers. I am the second owner of this boat which I purchased in 2002 with approximately 43 hours of run time. The boat now has 174 hours total run time. The boat from day one has always been garage kept, covered and clean. The hull is solid with no soft spots, warps, or cracks. There are a few scuffs and minor “rub marks” with the worst blemish being a missing “B” in the word BAYLINER on one side. Happened on our very first trip, not in the water but pulling into a gas station, ever since we christened it the “AAAAAYLINER”. While this boat still runs strong and have yet to experience any trouble, I have noticed 1 issue over the last two seasons. While running I have noticed that one side of the dual exhaust tends to get hotter than the other, indicating it may be time to replace the cooling impellers. I also recommend a complete gear oil change and service, including changing the motor oil and installing new cooling impellers.
