Seller reports all systems are in working order, and there are no issues with the engine or transmission. This boat has the normal wear and tear for its age. At first appearance, the Bayliner 3587 Motor Yacht appears to be a relatively straight forward 35-foot aft-cabin design with little to differentiate her from other small motor yachts. Looks can be deceiving--the 3587 provides three staterooms where her competitors offered only two. The third stateroom is located beneath the (elevated) dinette, and while it's not really a full-size cabin, there is a roomy double berth and partial standing headroom along with a privacy door and a large hanging locker. To accomplish this innovative floorplan, Bayliner engineers moved the galley up into the salon and employed a rather awkward combination of three doors forward leading to the two staterooms and the head. If the salon dimensions seem limited, the owner's aft cabin is surprisingly comfortable and includes a walkaround double berth, vanity, and a private head with separate stall shower. Additional features include a molded bow pulpit, standard lower helm, teak interior trim, generator, and swim platform. The generator hasn't run since he bought it, the mechanic says it needs a new impeller. The main faucet is disconnected and needs to be reconnected. This vessel appears to be in very good condition, and all systems work per the seller. The full enclosure in the upper helm is relatively new, frame, canvas, and isinglass. The bottom was cleaned and painted in March 2021. The horn does not work, but a hand-held one will suffice instead. The refrigerator works but does not get really cold. The searchlight works but does not rotate. The Robertson Auto Pilot only works from the lower helm. The Simrad GPS is newer per the seller as is the VHF radio. The macerator in the head does not work Of course, we always recommend that any buyer inspect the unit or have it independently surveyed to confirm the unit's condition before purchase. This 2000 Bayliner 2455 Ciera has an open-air cockpit and helm and is powered by a 250HP Mercruiser. Included is a dual-axle trailer. The boat comes with a retractable Bimini top for shade. Sun lovers will also like the l-shaped sunlounge. It has a pivotal backrest that permits you to sit facing either forward or aft or it can be folded flat to create a full-length sunlounge. In addition to the driver's bench, there is a folding bench seat along the transom. A removable table turns the aft cockpit into an entertainment center. The boat has a walk-through transom door to the swim platform for ease of boarding. Access to the foredeck has built-in steps on the dash console. Molded-in toe rails on the foredeck lead to a recessed area at the forepeak for safe and convenient handling of lines. The seller says this boat is in good condition, and everything in the cabin is original and works as it should. The fridge works on 12v or shore power. The stove burner works on fuel or shore power. The microwave works on shore power. The sink works, but the water heater has been removed, so there is no hot water. Fresh water and black water tanks are in good condition--all lights in the cabin work. Upholstery in the cabin is probably 8/10. All cockpit gauges work as they should. Trim tabs work, and the tilt and trim work. The cockpit interior is about 5/10, with a few tears (photos) and overall wear and tear. New Boss 500-watt audio system in the cockpit (4 speakers w/ 2 speakers mounted out the back). Dual batteries on Perko switch. The batteries are a year old with a No Genius battery charger when plugged into shore power. Rebuilt 5.7-liter long block installed in 2021. Fifty-two hours are currently on the engine. Delco conversion is done to the ignition system on the engine. Bellows, exhaust flaps, and water pump changed in 2022. Both bilge pumps work as they should, and no water leaks inside the boat. A newer swim platform was added from swimplatforms.com. It covers the existing 12" platform on the boat and adds approximately 34" aft. The trailer tires were replaced in June 2023, and it is an aluminum tandem axle trailer. This Bayliner is in good condition and has been well taken care of by its owners. The current owner purchased the boat in 2020 and made some improvements, such as new batteries. The Bayliner does have a full enclosure for the helm and lounge section, with the back of the enclosure that rolls down for a fully comfortable ride. Per the seller, the bottom was last painted in 2019. The Midcabin design on this Express Cruiser gives you adequate cabin space. Both the double berth aft and the forward V-Berth have curtains for privacy and both can sleep two adults.
