This is a Beautiful Sparkling Red Bayliner Cobra 2250. The seller believes he's the 3rd owner, and neither he nor the previous owner ever put the boat in Saltwater. The Bayliner was easy to care for, and its last service consisted of an oil change; maintenance records are unavailable. The exact engine size will be updated as soon as possible. The Cobra model of boats either came with a 5.0L 230hp OMC or the ultimate 5.7L 260 hp OMC with Cobra outdrive. The seller isn't sure which engine is aboard, but he does know that there are no known issues with this Gorgeous Bayliner. Stock #296683 Great condition Bayliner! Ready to hit the water and cruise! In 1987, Bayliner decided to build the Cobra model line to provide sportboat enthusiasts with offshore speed and power. This Cobra 2250 in beautiful Red is dashing and elegant, with sexy lines that suggest she's fast, even while sitting idle. Bayliner built the Cobra with a Sequential Lift Hull that combines speed and economy. Its chines are deeper and inverted, which traps air under the chine to get the boat out of the hole quicker. Once on plane, the hull is designed to keep it above the water for more speed and fuel efficiency. You also have better handling in rough water conditions. The Cabin has a comfortable berth to sleep two, should you wish to overnight on the water. The U-shaped lounge seating plan offers great entertainment possibilities with a sun pad over the engine compartment. The Bose and Kicker sound system rocks as well!

The top hatch is missing and the cabin upholstery and carpet will need some work as a result. The bowsprit is cracked and may need to be replaced. Many places where there will be a project needed to bring it up to speed. There is currently a 2 x 10 laying on the floor of the berth that you must walk on or you will fall through. Apparently, there was water coming into the boat for years from the front that was collecting on the floor and eventually rotted out the wood. You are mainly bidding on the motor that this boat has. It has 1996 Mercury 150 EFI that was completely rebuilt 2 years ago, the water pump and impeller were changed last year as well. Motor runs great and starts right up. After rebuild (completed late summer 2013) I took the boat out once, then in 2014 I took it out maybe three times. I'd say there is a total of 2 hours of run time on the motor after it was rebuilt. The boat itself is just what you would expect from a 26 year old boat that is all original, mainly cosmetic as it has the original carpet and seats. The trailer is also original, but is in great working condition, has newer LED lights and I have never had a problem with it. Boat began having issues with the electric trolling motor that is up front, it may be just a simple electrical issue or maybe just one of the batteries (it has 4). Was working a few weeks ago when I had it out, and then just quit. The boat is located in Lansdale, PA. I am selling my 1986 18' Bayliner Capri Cobra Bowrider. It has a Force 125 horsepower 2 stroke 4 cylinder outboard motor and it comes with the trailer, which has new tires and rims. The piston in cylinder #2 needs to be replaced, but I have included all of the parts needed. I purchased all needed repair and maintenance items with the intention of swapping the piston and giving the engine a good once over, but I just simply don't have time fix it and and get it back on the water. The boat itself is in good working condition with the exception of the motor. It is worth mentioning that I changed the powerhead after the piston ring in cylinder two came apart. After "breaking in" the new powerhead the exact same issue happened again to the piston in cylinder #2. Both times the piston ring broke on cylinder #2 the motor was at about 95% throttle. After it happened the first time I changed the powerhead out but I did not rebuild the carbs. When it happened the second time I realized I should have rebuilt the carbs because it seems like cylinder 2 had experienced a lean condition. I'm not sure how much gas is left in the tank but it is a few years old and would have to be pumped out and taken somewhere for disposal. All and all it will be a pretty fun little weekend project and I really wish I had the time to spend on it! The boat is very fast and I had it up to about 60 mph before the cylinder issue. It can be used to pull a water skier or a water tube... there is a tripod that attaches to the back of the boat. A depth gauge is installed as well. I have the title for both the boat and the trailer.
