Or copy and paste this into your address bar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKSMkoBf-Xo And here's another video of a recent trip to Catalina: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GwbRF8Butw The above video is a short walk-around and ocean cruise out of Redondo Beach harbor with our 1986 Bayliner Contessa 2850 Flybridge motorboat. October 24th, 2015. "Blue Beat" is named after a 1960s Raggae record label. These boats are famous for their excellent interior design: notice the tall 360 degree windows providing big views and lots of light, the raised dinette allowing extra storage and sleeping space below, a galley with two-way Kenyon stove operating on both 110 and alcohol fuel, a 12 volt fridge, a large v-birth with additional storage, and a full bathroom with marine head, sink and shower. Electronics include the Uniden VHF marine radio and Lowrance HDS5 which has a chart plotter, depth sounder and fish finder. Regular annual engine maintenance done at Sunrise Marine Services in San Pedro. Before its most recent trip to Catalina two weeks ago, I had the engine inspected by a marine mechanic and he said it was in excellent condition. He advised only to improve the corroding battery terminals, which I have done. Bottom anti-fouling paint done professionally in the Summer of 2014, with receipts. And a monthly bottom cleaning and zinc service has always been used while the boat has been in its slip. August 2015 accredited marine survey, passing with flying colors. There are several minor issues mentioned in the survey, all of which have been resolved: a crimped intake hose needing replacement, expired flairs, missing O2/smoke detector, some oxidation of the fiberglass normal for a boat this age (could use a polish and some of the wood could use some varnish), and there are some gelcoat hairline cracks also quite normal, a purely cosmetic issue, and structurally in very good condition. Some of the stanchions have corroded and will eventually need some work. Lastly, the lockdown mechanism for the outdrive is not working (a very common problem with these Penta 270s) so I have it locked down with a cable which works just fine. Or I will be choosing several weekends to bring it to Redondo Beach. A trailer is not included. Pickup or shipping from Redondo Beach, California is the buyer's responsibility. For the sake of shipping, the boat's dimensions are 31' long, by 10 feet wide, by 12 feet tall, and about 8,000 lbs. Clear title. Registration current through December 2015.

I am wanting to sell or trade my 1982 Bayliner Contessa Flybridge boat and trailer for either cash, or trade for a 32ft or larger sailboat, travel trailer, fifth wheel or motorhome. My boat is 28.5 feet not including the bow sprit or swim step. I've remodeled the kitchen installing a propane three burner stove and oven, granite countertop, two sided stainless steel sink, high rise faucet and ceramic tile. Also new kitchen flooring. Has new carpet though out the cabin. New electric toilet. All new GFI electrical outlets in kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Brand new 586 HP 454 big block motor with 70 hours on it. Volvo Penta 280 outdrive rebuilt in 2012. I have it moored in Newport with the slip paid up until May, 2016. I am looking for a minimum of 30 feet with slides RV. My boat is turn key and ready to go so I expect the same on the RV or trailers. Not looking for projects of any kind. Trailer not for sale alone. No paypal, no shippers and dealer trades will be welcome to discuss. Give me a call if interested and I can tell you more about it...
