I paid $1,575 for this boat 7 years ago. It had sat in someones garage for 30 years. It was in fantastic shape when I bought it. It was used 2 times the first year I got it. I had grown up sailing a sunfish and bought it hoping I would use it a lot at the lake in Mashpee Massachusetts summer cottage where it has been stored. It has been stored year round underneath tarps completely covered year round. This sale includes the boat, the sail, the ropes, the mast, 2 centerboards, and the rudder. The rudder was missing the last segment when I bought it-the part you hold on to, so I invented a last segment which worked fine for me. One centerboard is in great shape, the other in ok shape. The one piece of damage is seen clearly in the photos- one piece of metal strapping has peeled away from the edge. I am sure someone who knows what they are doing can bend it back. I would rather not attempt it myself. It was watertight when I sailed it. It is sold as is.It is a great deal.Cape Cod Mashpee on the shore of a lake.

This auction is for a 1991 Sunfish by Pearson sailvboat complete with sail, mast, daggerboard, rudder and rigging. This boat was lake used since new and is in very good shape. There are no scratches on the keel from beaching the boat whatsoever (see photos). There is one small ding on starboard corner and one of the stern handles broke off at some point but is easily replaced. We have included 64 large pictures below the add to show you as much detail as possible . You are welcome to inspect the boat in person if you wish to do so. It is located in Old Saybrook Ct, 06475 and is available anytime by appointment. The boat looks to be complete with rudder, keel ,mast and rigging. The sail included looks to be the original and is in good shape. The gel-coat is all original on the interior and exterior looks great other than needing a coat of wax. Overall this looks to be a good example of an older original boat that looks ready to sail. Please view all the large pictures below this ad to examine all details. Looking to sell this boat. Have had it for about a year and a half, I am headed off to college and will not be able to take it with me. Turns out my Dad at 55 years old isn't as appt to sail it when I am not here as he thought he would, so we are trying to sell it. It has two sets of sails in sail bags (two mains, two jibs), some basic PFDs and a few extra pieces of rope and load bearing carabiners. Has a set of battens, with a spare of each of the two sizes. All around a great boat, not very difficult to sail. I had only sailed sunfish previously and picked up on it very quickly. You can sail it by yourself pretty easily with just the main, and running the main and the jib with a partner. Either way always nice to be out on the lake. It is nice and protected in our garage. It also comes with a trailer and title. Come by and look at it (If you are near Dallas), make us an offer.
