1954 Hinckley Roustabout launch FOR SALE: 1954 WOOD Hinckley roustabout diesel power club launch in Westport CT. Remember the day when we kept out boats on moorings and each day started and ended with a friendly ride on the club launch? For many a youngster, the club launch ride was the highlight of the day. Sleek, beautiful  business like tenders with gleaming varnished teak, gloss white hulls and helm to port center, these were wonderful, simple launches from an era very unlike today. One of the finer examples of these 50’s era yacht club launches is the Henry R. Hinckley Company’s Roustabout. While there is no definitive proof, the present owner believes this launch to be a Hinckley boat, 1954, a Hinckley Roustabout , 22 feet built by Hinckley as a yacht club launch. This is an elegant club launch, cedar on oak, bronze fastenings, in restorable condition. She has been out of the water now 4 or 5 years, she needs caulking, some refastening, and other cosmetic work. Her oak ribs, where visible, appear to be in reasonable condition. The Perkins 4-107 diesel is out of the boat and not presently running though she does turn over. This would be an opportunity to repower, or, in keeping with a launch, go to steam or electric . This club launch would make a wonder restoration project with the scope of the work to be done within the reach of an amateur shipwright. For the less pure in heart, this would be an excellent candidate for a sheathing project.

This lovely old motor yacht was built in 1903 for Mr. J.W. Packard and registered originally as the Carlotta by the automobile manufacturer. This is the first time she has been on the market in over 25 years, this wonderful old historic ship has carried many luminaries in her 100 years, such as Harvey Firestone, Henry Ford and Thomas A. Edison. The beautifully appointed interior is appointed with hand carved mahogany and beveled glass windows. Seven years of meticulous restoration has brought this ship back to its original beauty. She has been launched only into fresh water and used as a pleasure craft on Chautauqua Lake New York. She is located at beautiful Chautauqua Lake, New York and is documented with the US Coast Guard. Arrangements for transfer of papers and payment can be made at time of sale.

This is a 1957 SORG all wood lapstrake designed boat that was built by the HENRY SORG boat company which was on Grand River Ave. in Detroit back in the 1950's. His company was noted for building very high quality runabouts and duck boats but there is very little information available on the company and its history. This boat is 15' long with a 64" beam and has a mid ship depth of 26". The transom height is 16". The boat is made of fir lapstrakes , with white oak keel-ribs-rubrails, and mahogany transom, dash, windshield, and assorted seat trim boards. It is a beautiful boat that was stored in a barn for many years and when found only needed to be refinished inside and out....there was no rot what so ever found during the survey. The windshield design is truly beautiful and makes the boat very attractive in my view. The refinishing process involved sanding, priming and two coating the exterior hull and sanding the interior and applying cetol penetrating finish. She is water tight and ready for use now. The trailer is a TEE NEE in good condition. While there is no motor included in this sale I am willing to give the buyer a late 50's Evinrude 35 HP outboard if they want it to renovate and add to the boat. It is a good used freshwater motor that has not been run in a few years but would be era correct. ( Free motor not shown in pictures). If you have any questions feel free to call me at 810-329-4372. I am in St. Clair, MI 48079

2009 True World Marine 34 OFFSHORE WALKAROUND This 34 ft 2009 True World Marine 34 Offshore Walk Around, never titled, never registered, manufacturer’s demo boat powered with twin Yanmar 6LPA-STP 315 hp diesels and loaded with equipment is for sale in North Carolina.  This boat is loaded as you would expect with a Demo boat, and carries full warranties on the hull and engines. This is a unique opportunity to sail away with a custom built boat without having to wait for a build. True World Marine build solid, no nonsense, boats that are able to stand up to the commercial market, yet nicely finished for the private owner. True World Marine builds boats designed for the serious fisherman; built tough to be fished hard and to last for decades. They are intelligently powered for solid performance and maximum economy, yet constructed from the bottom up to provide uncompromising safety on the open ocean. The company was founded in the 1980’s as Master Marine to meet the needs of New England fishermen who needed specialized craft to pursue Giant Blue Fin Tuna. The design criteria were curious: able to subdue 1000 pound fish, manageable by a two-man crew, seaworthy, stable, and tough as nails. This 2009 True World Marine 34 Offshore Walk Around is a natural evolution of the Henry Masters design, built with modern materials and equipment, and to the highest standards. Well powered with the twin Yanmar 6LPA-STPs, and a Northern Lights 6 KW generator, this boat is ready willing and able to put you offshore for the week or the weekend. Designed for Tuna fishing, she is a true walk around with a sturdy 1 ¼ inch stainless bow rail, high gunwales, and a non nonsense non skid open cockpit. The ergonomically designed helm station makes running this boat a true pleasure. The cockpit features courtesy lights, flush mounted rod holders, flood lights under the hardtop, 45 gallon live well, fish boxes with macerators, fresh and salt water washdowns, rod hangers under the gunwales, and a self bailing cockpit with a tuna door. Below is a simple V berth layout with a center table, galley area and enclosed head and shower. Nicely finished with wood accents, the interior is bright and clean, very functional for offshore work. The amenities include hot and cold running water, air conditioning and heat, AC/DC refrigerator, Microwave oven and a stainless steel sink. The head also sports hot and cold water in the vanity sink as well as the shower, an electric marine head with a 20 gallon holding tank, and FRP counter top. This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase a Demo boat loaded to the gills, or talk to me about building a new boat.
