Over $18,000 put into boat plus tons of free labor. It started life as a full fiberglass ski boat. The entire boat has been totally rebuilt with new or rebuilt parts. It is now a fiberglass hull with a Brazilian Mahogany Wood Deck that looks awesome and is very strong. It is very quick out of the hole and gets to the top speed of 50 mph very fast. The trim tabs allow you to smooth out the bounce you would typically get on this type of Ski Boat Hull and Drive. It sounds very nice around the lake with the V8 and Straight out the Transom Exhaust. Sounds like a Hot Rod.. The Motor is a 1968 Ford 302 V8 with Interceptor exhaust manifolds. completely Rebuilt & Balanced All Felpro Gaskets and new Arp Fasteners. The block and rolling assembly was Line Bored, New Cam Bearings, bored 30 over, Steel crank has been machined 10 under with all new bearings, rods, pistons & rings professionally built with less than 30 hours on it. It has Rebuilt Cast Heads with harden seats, new valves, springs, pushrods, seals, guides, Ford 351 mild cam was selected. new Edelbrock polished intake, polished water pump, Edelbrock carb, new Edelbrock polished fuel pump and filter, polished valve covers, New straight through hull exhaust, new Melling oil pump & pickup. New polished Alternator. Washable K&N Air Filter, New Mallory Distributer and electronic ignition was installed for reliability.. ETC everything was rebuilt or replaced. It runs and sounds sweet. The Velet Drive was completely rebuilt and re-sealed as well as water pickup pump. A new 13/13 Brass Prop was installed. New Cables. The hull was completely stripped and the deck cut off. The Hull was then fitted with a custom Deck that is all hardwood stating with the bow stringers. Once the deck was reformed a layer of 3/16â€ Birch Marine Plywood was layered over the top. Then it was layered with Brazilian Mahogany Â¼â€ thick planks and sanded and finished to perfection with nine coats of Clear. It has been designed as an old wood Rum Runner Style with a rear cockpit. The helm was completely customized with hardwood dash, new gauges, new steering wheel and all new wiring throughout. A custom Windshield was fabricated and installed. The glass hull was gel coated Black and cleared. All Stainless Steel Fasteners were used throughout the craft. There is one small scratch on side of hull at waterline about 2.5 inches long where a ski hit the side of the boat. I touched it up but it is noticeable upon close inspection. There are a couple small scratches in the deck and hull that were touched up due to their small size. The boat is used but in Great shape and get a ton of attention where ever it goes. This boat was completed Late July 2012 and was only used a few times. I burnt 1 tank of Fuel breaking it in the 2-2.5 more tanks skiing, tubing and cruising over the last couple seasons.. It is still like new with very little signs of wear. It includes a custom trailer that has had the tongue shortened for easy storage and loading hauls very nice and smooth at 70 mph. The trailer has been primed & painted Black with a silver stripe and wood runners for steps to board the craft on the trailer. I have made a fitting that will sandwich between the trailer and the Hull and allow you to hook up a hose and run the motor for maintenance and Winterization on the trailer. The trailer shows very little signs of wear with new paint, tires. Bearings, hitch and less than 300 miles since restoring it. The entire front section under the deck is carpeted and a hatch was installed for easy access to large Cuddy Cabin / Storage Area. Under the cuddy the front engine access snaps right off. The Sides and front cover can be removed easily for 360 degree full access to perform maintenance. Petcock were put in Exhaust manifolds and block for easy winterization. Fuel shut off and battery shutoffs were installed in the drivers cockpit. All fuses are located under dash for easy access. The boat was constructed using the Gentleman's Racer Plans. All systems are clean and finished with easy access to all controls, plugs and shutoffs. It was built and designed for ease of use and maintenance. The cockpit is user friendly with new gauges for Temp, Oil, Volts, Fuel and a GPS Speedometer was installed as well as new trim tab controls the will smooth out the bow at high speeds and allow for fast plaining. They are electric Planer Boards mounted on the transom. Basically this boat is brand new with less than 30 Hours on it. It shows very well and get a ton of attention where ever it goes. The 2nd oil change was just performed; I am using Valvoline VR1 10w-30 for the zinc. I also just pulled the valve Covers and inspected the top end as well as make some adjustments to the rocker arms. For sale or trade is a mint condition 1995 Chaparral 2130 SS. This boat is in better shape than most 5 year old boats out there and has been maintained to the highest degree. The boat has been dry stored its entire life inside a marina and I am only the second owner. The boat has always been flushed out religiously for 10 minutes and washed down after every use. The outdrive and engine have virtually no corrosion to speak of and both are fully functional. The boat has about 310 hours. When I bought it a year ago, she had 180 hours. All of the interior is original and the vinyl and carpet is still plush and full of bright color because the boat has always been stored indoors and a protectant has always been sprayed on the vinyl. The vinyl is literally immaculate minus a few chafed spots and one area where another boat at my marina dripped and stained the vinyl. Since that event, the boat has been covered and stored indoors! Everything gauge and switch also works except the speedometer which Ive never worried about since GPS is way more accurate anyways. This boat has the following features and amenities: -underwater led light -full mooring cover with straps and vented support poles -full camping enclosure with convertible top, aft curtain, side windows, and bow cover -brand new turquoise sunbrella extra large 8 bimini top with rear support poles -4 new kicker speakers and a new usb/aux stereo -interior led courtesy lighting (4 lights) -Nauticus smart trim tabs -stainless steel 19 pitch prop with aluminum spare -transom trim switch -anchor locker and two anchors included -3 built in coolers that drain overboard -all stainless steel through hull fittings, not cheap plastic -chrome bilge vents -800 gph bilge pump and float switch -hour meter -depth finder -8 stainless steel cup holders The boat is powered by the legendary Chevy 350 mated to the very reliable Yamaha Sterndrive. I have not had one drive train problem with this boat and have never broken down even when I have driven long distances in a single day. I have all maintenance, upgrade, and repair logs since new. The engine oil is very clean and currently has a Mobil 1 10w-40 synthetic. At the last gear oil change (30 hours ago), the oil was clean as can be! All bellows are in good shape and don't leak or have any cracking. Boat shifts like a dream! Literally everything works as it should minus the speedo. The boat will hit 50 mph GPS at about 4700 rpms. Since Ive owned the boat (past year), the following has been done: -new exhaust manifolds/risers -rebuilt the quadrajet 4 bbl carb -new circulating water pump -new impeller -new 140 degree thermostat -new fuel/water separator (2x) -oil and filter change (3x) -new spark plugs (2x) -new spark plug wires -new valve covers -new mechanical fuel pump -new anti-syphon valve -new fuel lines -gear oil changed (3x) -shift cable adjustment -new rule bilge pump and float switch -flame arrestor cleaned (2x) -two brand new batteries (1 deep cycle and 1 starting) and brand new perko switch -electrical connections have been cleaned -gimbal bearing and other outdrive zerk fittings have been greased -verified engine coupler has grease -boat has been washed, waxed, and vacuumed (5x) The boat also comes with a tandem axle magic tilt galvanized trailer that has five new tires, new bearings, new bunk carpet, new wiring harness, fresh paint on the leaf springs, and a new roller. RARE FIND....ZODIAK FIBERGLASS JET BOAT Maxie Model 427 Originally manufactured in Delta, BC, Canada 1998 V-4 120 HP OMC Jet Drive 14' Galvanized Trailer IncludedI started the restoration on this boat & no longer have the time to finish it. Here is a good deal for someone wishing to own and restore a boat that is increasingly hard to find. To date, we have removed the tubes and pulled the engine and went through all the mechanicals.Engine got new head gaskets, new thermostats, one new carburetor & rebuild kits on both carburetors. Have never started the boat, but the compression is excellent and equal. The engine block was blasted primed and repainted with high quality engine enamel (see photos). New remanufactured starter, engine wiring completely gone through and replaced as needed. Two new coils were added and tested good. Power pack tested good.The tubes were removed and need to have two small holes patched, one repaired the tubes and rub rails need to be re-attached and glued to the boat. We were told by Kodiak dealer that the tubes were good enough to use without having to replace them. Boat comes with a 14' galvanized trailer in very good condition. We rebuilt the trailer with brand new springs, treated wood carpeted bunks, new main roller, new winch and all new stainless fender bolts and stanchions. New frame bolts and uprights hardware. Fenders repainted. Has oversized tires in good condition.KNOWN ISSUES: Jet drive impeller is seized in jet tube & parts are available on line to replace any damaged elements. My mechanic believes it needs a new jet pump and a reconfiguration of the impeller which can be done at any prop shop.Seats were in the process of being reupholstered and are partially completed.
