This listing is for a freshwater used 1991 Bayliner Capri 17 with 70 hp Force outboard and including trailer . The trailer shown IS included in the sale . We are listing this boat and representing it in completely as-is condition with no reserve. Please read the ad and view the pictures carefully. We have included 72 large pictures below the ad to show you as much detail as possible as well as a description of condition. Our description of condition is based on a brief and casual inspection and is only to help you decide its value. You are welcome to inspect the boat in person if you wish to do so. It is located in Old Saybrook, Ct, 06475 and is available anytime by appointment. This Bayliner was used on a freshwater lake in southern New Hampshire its entire life. The previous owner used it this summer until it developed a problem with the lower unit. The lower unit was partially disassembled and will need major repair. We did run the outboard and it starts up fast and sounds great. The compression is good in all three cylinders (110 lbs plus/minus 5lbs). The power trim and tilt operates well with no visable leaks but cavitates towards the top of its travel. The power-head is spotless and looks to have a new starter motor, stator and voltage regulator. The propeller looks newer as well. The battery in the boat holds a good charge and the stereo and bow nav light both power up. The fish-finder did not power up but it looks in good shape so it may be just a bad connection. Cosmetically the boat looks good. The seating is in okay shape and the decks feel solid. The gelcoat will buff to a good shine with a compound and waxing. The bottom is in good shape and has never been bottom painted Please view all 72 pictures below this ad to judge the condition yourself. The trailer shown IS included in the sale. It only has a bill of sale for transfer of ownership. The tires have light dry rot but hold air and recently made a 150 mile trip with no problems. The springs and axle look solid. The lights work and we recently towed it 150 miles with no problems. We can deliver as well for $3.00 per hauled mile. The pictures show many features and details and the boat is being sold as is in the condition shown. You are welcome to come to our shop and inspect the boat anytime prior to auctions end. Truly an upscale, high-performance cuddy cabin cruiser and fun machine, the Cobalt 343 is what one might call a gentleman's day boat, with room for plenty of guests in comfortable and quality surroundings and performance to make it all exciting and fun. With a large, extended swim platform, both forward and aft sun pads and plenty of wrap-around cockpit seating, this boat is all about being outside on a nice day, but if things get a little snotty or privacy is needed, the cabin boasts an almost equivalent amount of seating. At the helm is a full set of highly visible and legible analog gauges, and as with many high-performance boats also including a GPS speedometer and oil temperature and block water pressure gauges. The twin freshwater-cooled Mercruiser big-block V8s stand on tough Bravo One legs and this power package in concert with the stepped deep-V hull will get the boat up to a top speed of almost a mile a minute, with an efficient cruise at around 40 MPH burning about 3/4 of a gallon per mile, with nimble but solid handling at all speeds. Of course if one is looking at any Cobalt they likely know why, the reputation of Cobalt Boats for extremely well-made vessels of superior build, finish, materials and fitting out is well known, nobody ever got teased or fired for buying one, that's for sure. And for those who do NOT keep their boats away at a marina like kids at boarding school, the trailer is included in the sale and at the asking price.
