I am the second owner of this boat and it has spent its entire life in dry storage and the bottom has never been painted. The boat is in superb condition for the year and it is pushed by two of the same year fuel injected 225 HP Yamaha ox66 two strokes that will push this boat up to 56 MPH. I actually get pretty good fuel mileage for two motors because it has so much horse power it cruises at 32 MPH at 3500 RPMs These motors just turned 600 hours and if you know anything about them, they are considered bullet proof and can get easily up to 2000 hours or more. Inside the boat there are all new cushions, including gunnel cushions that go all the way around the boat, new stereo and speakers, Dual screen Raytheon Radar, fish finder,chart plotter and windless. There is a ton of storage on the boat, and the center console has a toilet and sink and is so big three people could stand inside of it (Pic of person in console from brochure) . I also have new three sided curtains which include the wind shield extension, and two side curtains. As stated I am the second owner and I have ALL of the books/manuals to the boat and motors and all of the electronics on the boat including the original bill of sale and maintenance records for the motors. This is a lot of boat for the money and the original bill of sale was over $80,000 and it would cost you $120,000 today for this much boat. Again the boat runs perfect I would rate it a 9 out of 10 for looks and 10 out of 10 for the way it runs. I am looking to downsize and this boat is currently stored indoors at a boatel in Mathews. Included in this sale is a tri-axel torsion trailer (no springs!) with brand new tires, and new bearings. The trailer looks brand new (hardly any rust) because it was never used. 1977 Boston Whaler 15 Sport Classic This is a beautifully restored 1977 Boston Whaler 15’ Sport. This beauty is truly a one of a kind work of art. This boat was stripped completely down to the bare hull and restored in winter/spring of 2014. The outside and bottom were refinished with AlexSeal Yacht Coatings single stage polyurethane in Sea Frost color, which is a very faint light green. The interior was stripped and then coated with spray-in bed liner in a “vanilla shake” color. This turned out to be a very good idea as it provides a durable nonskid surface. This makes the boat practical and useful while maintaining a very appealing look. What truly makes this boat beautiful and unique, yet authentic is the console, bench seat, and seat rails. They were custom designed based on the original layout and then crafted from rare Honduran mahogany. The finish is 5 coats of Captains Spar varnish. It is truly a must see. The following was all installed brand new during the restoration process; OE style rub rail, OE style SS bow and stern lights (with LED bulbs), Minn Kota Riptide 55lb saltwater series bow mount trolling motor with quick release bracket and foot remote control, front pedestal mount and extension pole for seat, Lowrance Elite 5 DSI down scan combination GPS/sonar, interior LED courtesy lights, Johnson 1000 GPM automatic bilge pump, switch/breaker panel for lights/accessories, SS steering wheel with knob, dual SS recess mount cup holders, Tempress swivel bucket seats, Sea Star Bay Star hydraulic steering, bimini top, keel guard, SS bow guard, and a Moeller fuel/water separator/filter. This boat is powered by a 2010 Yamaha F70 4-stroke outboard with 325 hrs on it. It is mounted on a manual jack plate and is fitted with a 18p SS Quicksilver prop. This motor is the perfect fit for this boat. It is light weight, almost completely silent, and super efficient. The boat will cruise at around 27 MPH while getting around 11 MPG! WOT is around 47 MPH depending on the load. There is an 18 gallon aluminum gas tank mounted under the seat which gives the boat a range of close to 200 miles. There is a SS remote fuel fill mounted in the bench seat and a Yamaha gauge on the dash monitors the fuel level. The Yamaha multi-function digital gauge is mounted in the dash to monitor engine vitals. The boat comes with a new custom boat cover by T-Top Boat Covers and sits on a 2012 WESCO galvanized trailer with spare tire. The company was founded in 1926 at 333 W Becher Street in Milwaukee, WI by two brothers James and William Welch who had a knack for building wooden plank hulls that were designed for speed. In 1928 the company was moved to Manistee, Michigan where it operated for the next sixty years. In 1930 its Century Hurricane held the world speedboat record of 50.93 miles per hour. By 1937 the company offered 28 models of boats to choose from. The 1940s brought about World War II and the firm received a contract and delivered 3,600 vessels receiving the Army-Navy E Award for excellence in production material. The company had 343 authorized dealers by 1950 and used the slogan "The Thoroughbred of Boats". In the 1960s Century introduced 45' motor yachts and jet-powered boats; in 1967 the last wooden boat rolled out of the Manistee Facility in favor of fiberglass. 1970 proved to be the greatest decade for the company; it even had a fleet of white tractor trailers that moved them from Manistee across the country to its dealerships. In 1983 it opened a production facility in Panama City, FL.
