We have owned "Surprise" since 2011. We have campaigned the boat successfully on the Bohemia River and upper Chesapeake Bay. The swing keel draws only 4’ when up and 6’10” when the board is down, making it prefect for the upper Chesapeake. Last season she won the ERYC Bohemia Bay Wednesday Night Racing series and the Gene McCord Memorial Race. “Surprise” continues to be a fast and competitive racer. The 150 genoa is on its second season. Sail inventory includes a main, #1 genoa, 1 spinnaker, 1 asymmetric drifter, … In addition, she has proved a comfortable cruiser for those times when we weren't racing. This 1980 C&C 34 Sloop offers a great deal of comfortable cruising for a very reasonable price. She has beautiful lines and is a great all-round boat with a good turn of speed. She is roomy below decks with over 6 feet of headroom and accommodations for six. Side decks are large permitting easy movement around the boat, and forward is a large anchor locker. Her bottom was painted in spring of 2022. The boat is in very good shape with a large V-Berth, Convertible Settee that sleeps 2 and a Port Aft Bunk that sleeps 1. Galley has a 3-burner stove/oven, sink and top loading ice chest. A single head to port and large hanging locker before the V-Berth. She has a Yanmar 2QM20 20 HP Diesel, 2 - 12V batteries + Inverter, Keel stepped mast, Furling Jib, two Danforth Anchors + 50 feet chain and 200 foot of rope, Maroon Sail Cover that matches Bimini, Dodger and wench covers. All lines led into the cockpit, sailing instruments in cockpit, 3 bumpers, and 50-foot Shore power cable. She has a custom cover for the winter. The new owner gets all this plus the equipment and accessories listed below. The 34 is considered one of C&C's better designs, equipped for racing and cruising. Call for a showing today. Everything about this boat exhibits pride of ownership. From the topside to the hull, to the cabin and head, every piece of equipment, furniture, and electronics have been nicely maintained. The engine is reported by the owner to be in good working order and the hull is frequently cleaned. Stock #343004 Vessel has been restored and she's gorgeous, with an artisan's attention to every last detail! This is an amazing sailboat that was rebuilt 12 years ago from stem to stern, and expertly maintained since then. A Yanmar 75 HP diesel engine was installed and has approximately 271 hours of operation. The current owner is a licensed sea Capitan and purchased the boat soon after its rebuild was completed. He has been chartering the boat for Bay Cruises and keeps it looking just like it did when he purchased it. The photos were taken on July 6, 2023. Just take a look at every aspect of the boat. The hull is polished, the top deck is clean, and the teak woodwork is maintained with several applications of varnish. Inside, the main cabin, the v-berth, and the head all look great. You would never know this boat was built in 1975 unless you are told. This is a special boat for a discriminating buyer. If you are such a buyer and in the market for a beautiful sailboat, this is one you won't want to miss.

Aside from the obvious cosmetic issues, this 1979 C&C Encounter 26 appears to be in pretty decent mechanical and operational condition. Please note, however, that there is some evidence of water intrusion on the bulkhead between the salon and the head on the port side. The seller states "...seems to be from the chain plates. It will occasionally leak a little with heavy rain. It has not been remedied". It is recommended that buyers rely only on their own experience/expertise or that of a qualified marine surveyor when making their purchase decision. Stock #276217 Lots of Boat for the Money!! Ready For the Next Adventure!! Includes a Suzuki 6 HP 4-Stroke OB!! There may not be a better deal on a sailboat anywhere else on the web. Aside from needing a paint job, this 1979 C&C Encounter 26 is in great shape for its age. This Encounter 26 is similar to the original C&C 26, however with a shorter keel, shorter rig, and a heavier displacement. This makes this sloop a great rig for running over to the Bahamas...and this one knows the way! It's made the trip many times. Below there is a good-sized salon with a folding table, a head forward of the salon, and a V-berth in the peak. The galley has an Origo 2-burner stainless steel unpressurized alcohol stove, a stainless steel sink with both fresh and raw water pumps, and a new Frigo 12V refrigerator. Above there is a fully-battened loose-footed main, a Harken main traveler, and a boom with end-boom sheeting, all new in 2020. This allowed the traveler to be moved from the companionway to the aft end of the cockpit. This change permitted the installation of a new continuous Dodger/Bimini in 2020. There is also a mainsail cover, new in 2020. Additionally, there is a 110% jib with Selden roller furler, a Gennaker, and a storm trysail. Also, since 2020, there is a new boom vang, and all new sheets and halyards with professionally spliced whipped ends and reeving loops. The halyards are all run to the cockpit with new rope clutches. Ground tackle includes a Rocna 10kg (22#) anchor with 170' of 5/16 HT chain and a Fortress 7 anchor with 30' of chain and 150' of rode. These are managed by a manual Lofrans windlass. Electric generation/storage include 280 watts of solar panels with Bluetooth controller, 3 recent lead acid Group 9 batteries and a recent lead acid starting battery, a recent Guest 2 bank battery charger, and new DC panels. There is also a 30 amp shore power with cord and a 50 amp-30 amp converter. Navigation aids include a Garmin Echomap UHD 94sv 9" plotter/sonar with an external transducer mounted on the hull, a Garmin wind indicator, a Ritchie 6" compass, a Raymarine ST2000+ tiller pilot, and a Standard Horizon GX2000 VHF radio with AIS & DSC, all new in 2020. There is also a Boss stereo and a masthead LED tricolor/anchor light, both added in 2020. When the boat is not under sail it is powered by a Yanmar 8HP single-cylinder diesel engine. The engine starts and runs good, but it is believed to be original and the hours are unknown. There's a lot of capable sailboat here for the money. Don't wait...it won't last long!! Reason for selling is going bigger.

According to the seller... The hull is in very good condition with no significant scratches or scuffs. The upholstery is in excellent condition with no rips or tears observed. The canvas is in very good condition. All marine systems and appliances are in good working order, per the owner. Stock #304549 Beautiful sailing vessel in very good condition, well maintained The C&C 30 MK1 is a great Cruiser. The design was so sound that during the 12 years it was being built, there were very few changes made. This unit features what was probably the most important upgrade. The main boom is 12" higher off the deck than previous models. This provides a significant improvement in safety and comfort while under sail. The most distinguishing feature of the 30 MK1 are the two dorade boxes that appear on either side of the mast, built into the coach roof. Their primary purpose is air ventilation for the cabin interior; secondary functions are stiffening the cabin top and providing flat surfaces for the halyard winches. 48 hours minimum notice for showings, please.
