1978 Capital Yachts Newport,Purchased in 2009. I am selling this for a friend whose husband used to sail. He loved this boat. It displaces 6000 ibs and has 3 sails: a Genoa, Jib and Mainsail. The Genoa is orange. They called it, the BA Sail as in Big Ass! He was a business jet aviation pilot and loved the wind whether in the sky or in the sail! It has always been a fresh water boat. I am selling (2) Neptune 24's one of them is a 2000 and the other is a 1982 damaged demasted parts boat that can be repaired. The 2000 is in very good to excellent condition. It comes with a roller furling and a 4stroke 5hp Nissan outborad that runs good. I sail the 2000 regularly and is located in Millerton Lake Marina in the water. I painted the bottom of the 2000 Neptune last year. The 1982 sits on a trailer, this Neptune was demasted it has no sails no mast or boom. It is also missing the daggerboard. I have a line on a mast and boom for it for about 250.00$ and can put you in contact with that person. Originally built in Louisiana. Custom built as a live aboard then converted to a floating office. Powered by two 903 Cummins with only around 150 hours each, a 4 cylinder Cummins powering the hydraulic bow thruster, and a 20K Onan genset to provide all the power you need when underway. Engines run as they should with no known problems. 4 cylinder Cummins in bow runs great. Genset runs great and starts easy as it should with only 789 hrs. All electrical works as it should.
