The boat shows well considering its age. The upholstery looks good as does the interior gel coat. The exterior has a few dock scratches, but no major dings. Great condition for her age, no musty smells. Carpet is in good condition. The upholstery was replaced a couple years ago by previous owner, looks great. The engine room was clean. Up for sale is my 2002 Chaparral 260 SSI with a brand new Load Rite aluminum trailer. The boat is super clean with NEW Mercruiser GM goodwrench 6.2L with new manifolds and risers all installed last year. Everything has about 30 hours of use. The drive is a Bravo 3 with twin stainless props. Bottom paint is in good shape and should last another season or two. It has a head and a sink and the extended swim platform option. It also has a brand new marine radio and a nice bimini top. Black mooring covers are included for the main cockpit and the bow but they are not in the pictures. I will consider selling the boat without the trailer if you only want the boat. I have receipts for all the work and a clean title for both the boat and the trailer. Please do not call unless you are super serious about looking/buying. We just bought a house and have ZERO time to use it. Not interested in trades. You are viewing a 2005 Chaparral 260 SSi edition bowrider. This boat is in excellent condition and shows to have been EXTREMELY well maintained. Boat was primarily lift kept under a covered slip. ONLY 180 HOURS ! ! ! 50 MPH ! ! ! EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION ! ! ! Hull: overall appears to be in excellent condition with out any signs of fading or oxidation. Gelcoat maintains very HIGH gloss. There are no scratches, gouges, chips or cracks. The rub rail is super clean. The decals are in excellent condition without signs of docking. The keel is in excellent condition without any signs of beaching. There is an integrated and an extended swim platform with stainless boarding ladder, trim controls and stern shower. The extended platform has a small 3" patch that was repaired but the color does not match perfectly. There are upgraded stainless docking lights. This boat features a premium factory arch/tower ($4,000 value). Interior: The upholstery shows to be in excellent condition without rips, stains or any seams coming apart. The colors are vibrant and the vinyl is soft. Boat has every available filler cushion: bow filler, walk thru filler, and aft filler cushions. The fiberglass floor is in excellent condition. The snap in carpet is in excellent condition without any stains or tears. Cockpit has table and pedestal. The wood grain dash board and steering wheel are in excellent condition. The upgraded stainless gauges and switches are in excellent condition and fully functional. There is an in dash depth sounder. There is an upgraded marine sound system. The new system does not communicate with the original remotes at the dash or platform. There is a head onboard that features a nautical toilet with waste tank, sink and faucet. It begins with a hand-laminated hull and Formula’s grid stringer system, which accomplishes a couple of things. First, it provides a solid skeleton for the hull. Second, due to the way it’s designed and built, the grid system also provides a positive-molded gelcoat surface in the bilge, which makes for a much neater appearance and easy cleanup. What’s more, all the cavities in the grid system are filled with foam for extra flotation and sound deadening. The grid system is bonded to the inside of the hull with Plexus adhesive, which is so strong, dynamite is about what it takes to remove it. Formula also bonds the hull and deck with Plexus before it tops the seam with a stainless rub rail. Look closely at the screws on a Formula’s rub rail. All the slots on the Phillips screws are indexed perfectly in a north-south, east-west orientation. All of them. On every boat. Up top, the 260 Bowrider’s deck and cockpit liner are one piece, which also makes for more solid construction. In the bow, Formula provides filler cushions as a standard feature. They not only fill in the gap between the cushions, but they also fill in the angled back rests between the bow walk-through. It’s a fantastic setup that allows three-wide lounging up front. Behind the windshield, Formula designer John Adams created a space that’s welcoming and usable. To port, the lounge can be used as an aft-facing chaise or a bench seat for two. The back rest and portside dashboard conceal a spacious head. The wetbar includes a sink, Corian countertops, a concealed trash bin and a 17.5-quart Igloo cooler. For added convenience and safety, the wetbar is fitted with a stainless grab rail and its hatches are supported with gas struts. To starboard, the 260 has a U-shape lounge that wraps from behind the helm seat to the stern bench. A standard removable dinette table can be set at two heights, one for dining and a second, lower setting that provides a base for another filler cushion. Of course, the helm is the place to be and the 260 has room for two, with a separate flip-up thigh bolster at each position. Like all Formulas, the helm is laid out intelligently—and more important—simply, which makes checking the vitals that much easier. Buyers can choose between silver burl or woodgrain dash panels. A standard Ritchie compass tops the dash, which features Livorsi instrumentation, a Kenwood audio system and waterproof accessory switches protected by circuit breakers. Some other thoughtful touches include a motorized engine hatch, white LED courtesy lights for the cockpit and swim platform and polished cupholders throughout the interior. Such features typically aren’t found in entry level boats, but they are the kind of niceties that longtime boaters can appreciate. The 260 Bowrider could never pass for an entry level boat, but when people get into boating, models like the 260 are quite likely the end they have in mind—when they want to show they have arrived.
