2006 Chaparral 265 SSi
I am the original owner of this boat. It was custom built by the manufacturer and bought brand new from the dealer by me in June 2006. It has only been in the water 9 seasons out of the 11 I have owned it.
It has a 375 hp Volvo 8.1L GiG engine with stainless steel duoprop. The engine/outdrive has been professionally maintained every season by certified Volvo technicians at the dealer and my local marina. I have a complete set of service records going back to the first day I owned it and these are available for any serious buyer to view upon request.
The engine has approximately 350 easy hours on it and still runs smooth as butter due to having been never abused and professionally maintained. This boat has been babied its whole life and never been beat on once.
The cockpit and cabin have been kept in like-new condition. The boat was professionally shrink wrapped every winter. The bimini top is still in excellent condition as well is the cockpit cover. The front plastic windows, side curtains, and rear plastic windows will be in need of replacement soon but are probably usable for another season or two.
It has the extended fiberglass swim platform with fold out ladder. I also had a fresh water engine flush system installed that allows the engine to be flushed with fresh water via a garden hose without having to remove the boat from the water. The engine was flushed regularly with fresh water and not allowed to sit for prolonged periods with salt water inside the engine.
The 4 speaker stereo system with Sirius satellite radio is in perfect working order and has a remote control at the helm and at the swim platform.
The plastic cover that goes over the engine vents on the port side became partially detached when my neighbor's spring line got hooked under it on my final trip of last season. It can be reattached very easily with bolts or adhesive. The vent cover itself is not broken, just a couple of the plastic bolts that were holding it in place.
The boat has a Fortress bow anchor and also a full size stern anchor. It has a fiberglass table for the cockpit and the cabin, a full compliment of lines, life jackets, and standard safety equipment. It also has a VHF radio mounted at the helm with a fiberglass VHF antenna mounted on a folding bracket on the side of the boat. It even has a full tank (80 gallons) of gas (fully stabilized of course) and is all ready to go for this season.
This boat is in need of a new owner who will take care of it as well as I did.
