1981 Chris Craft Catalina 381 Accommodations - Sleeps 6
An iconic brand history dating back to the late 19th century, even the more novice boater is familiar with the Chris Craft name.
She was recently repowered by twin 454 Crusaders with approximately 50 hours running through straight inboard shafts, 6.5 kw Onan generator provides electric away from the dock, All neatly situated in a spacious Engine Room is located amidships with easy access under salon floor.
Starting aft is a full width swim platform with a ladder that leads up to the aft deck. This is THE place for relaxing or entertaining family and friends. There is a Soft-top with aluminum piping overhead with a full canvas enclosure that stretches all the way forward of the bridge helm. It features Eisenglass side panels and bug screens giving you great flexibility to cope with any weather. The sides can be closed tight on colder days of early spring and late fall. You can roll up the Eisenglass windows to let the breeze in on hot summer days while leaving the screens in place to keep bugs out at night. If you prefer the canvas can all be removed and stowed for truly open air boating. From the aft deck you can go up a few steps to the bridge, or either side to the bow or through the main hatch into the cabin.
The interior of this boat is one of the brightest and wide open layouts you’ll find in a 38 footer. The 14’ beam really adds to the openness. It is further enhanced by the large expanse of windows around all sides, so the cabin is flooded with light. The salon is also open to the galley and plenty of room for the dinette. There is a guest stateroom forward that has two bunks. There is also a half electric head forward that also serves the guest stateroom. The master stateroom is all the way aft and has a two double size pedestal bed and a private head with separate shower. Plenty of dresser and closet storage completes this stateroom. Two Marine Air System AC units to keep the cabin comfortable.
