The Corinthian 38 is still popular today because of its luxurious and spacious design, making it wonderful for cruising and entertaining, just like it did years ago. This Corinthian features a classic design with sleek lines and a spacious layout. It has a nice flybridge configuration, allowing for additional seating and better visibility for the captain. The interior layout included a comfortable salon, a galley (kitchen), a dining area, sleeping cabins, and a head (bathroom). The 38 Corinthian was built using fiberglass hull construction, which is a common practice for many boats today. Fiberglass offers a good balance between strength, durability, and weight. The twin inboard engines provided sufficient power for cruising and comfortable handling. One of the highlights of this Corinthian is its spacious and well-appointed interior. The salon includes comfortable seating and large windows for ample natural light. The galley is equipped with necessary appliances for meal preparation, and the dining area provided a place for meals and socializing. The sleeping cabins offer accommodations for a small family. The Chris-Craft 38 Corinthian has a legacy. It still remains a symbol of classic luxury boating. These boats are often sought after by collectors and enthusiasts due to their timeless design and craftsmanship. Many of these boats have been preserved or restored by passionate owners who appreciate their seaworthiness and the historical significance they had in the boating world. Up for sale is a very sorted out 1967 Chris Craft Commander 38. This was the first year that Chris Craft built them in solid fiberglass but it still has that old wood boat look. It has twin Perkins 6.354 diesels that run like a dream. The boat cruises at 10knt with a top speed somewhere in the 14knt area. Best of all it runs at just 5gph at cruise. I keep the 2-100 gal tanks full and its always a pleasant surprise when I get my fuel bill....Could do a bit better on top speed with trim tabs but currently we don't have them. This would make an ideal dive charter boat (easy to profit when it costs a $20 to go diving), with a few very easy and inexpensive modifications, although i would hate to see all we have done torn out. Also have a prime slip in the St Pete Municipal Marina that we can transfer. One of the best spots in the marina. Current wait list is 6-9 months This boat has been extensively remodeled and updated and is a basically a turn key boat: 1967 Chris Craft Commander 38 1st year of fiberglass commander Twin Perkins 6.354 natural Diesels 200 gal fuel 100 gal water King front birth Full bath with shower Updated throughout Ready to cruise condition with all lines, fenders, chart plotter, radio, anchor etc. Runs 100%…5gph at cruise 2013: New top of the line bottom paint. Still appears new, maintained monthly New shafts, props and rudders Stuffing Boxes re-stuffed New water impellers, both sides. All through hulls serviced Both full tanks cleaned, fuel polished, New fuel filler hoses installed, new senders installed New paint on exterior surfaces, Brightside All new toilet drain lines installed from head to tank and tank to new deck fitting New electric head 2014: Bridge installed New hydraulic steering system installed New control cables installed with upper station controls added New stainless steel water heater installed New fresh water pump installed New AC water pump installed New window covers installed New memory foam mattress installed New snap in carpet for rear deck 2015: Salon gutted and remodeled with new carpet, flooring, all new wood on walls and floors, new ceiling, led lights including color changing lights, new couch upholstery, new overhead console, new stereo. Lower Cabin: new flooring, kitchen cabinets, sink, faucet, refrigerator, bench with storage, ceiling, LED lighting, AC unit and microwave New stainless 1’’ railing added to fly bridge. New starboard transmission installed New starboard starter installed New VHF antenna New gauges installed at lower and upper station Even thought thats a comprehensive list, there may be some things that the new owner may feel still need attention as you would expect from an antique boat. I would call the boat 80-90% done as far as a remodel / refit is concerned. That said, there is no reason it could not offer the new owner a turn key hands off opportunity if you are not like me...i like everything perfect and as such i never stop working on my projects...and boats are always that. I you have any specific questions just ask. The generator has been installed in the compartment but has not been wired or plumbed. Everything is there, through hulls etc, but it needs to be hooked up. I guarantee that it functions. It is diesel. Included in the sale are a few other items, we found an original hard top that will be great and we have seat bases for the fly bridge that are included. We also have some of the carpet that we have not used. Also include is a full radar system. we did not install it because we were waiting to install the top. Also have an AC breaker panel with shore/gen switch. Here is a recent video of it cruising. http://youtu.be/IKpmybsxQ08 just copy into your browser to view. Owner Financing Terms: 10,000 down with 1000 per month which includes the boat payment, your slip fee, bottom cleaning and insurance. We will do it simple interest and the Terms are firm.

Call Boat Owner Melinda 702-927-5872. Description: We enjoyed years of relaxation and family entertaining on this wonderful Steel Hull Roamer. Our family used it regularly for fantastic cruising on Lake Huron with family and friends. Then in 1995 my father decided to pull it out of the water and take on a full restoration project to polish it back to its original glory. He planned to remodel the bunks and redesign the galley. To begin the restoration, he constructed a restoration barn and contracted a boat mover deliver and dry-dock the boat for the restoration. He began to carefully disassemble all of the components and store them in the barn, but was forced to stop in the early stages of the project due to some sudden family health issues. The boat has been sitting in the barn for the last 18 years, sealed up and awaiting restoration. But due to these family health issues, he’s realized that he won’t be able to complete the project. As such, the boat is up for sale. It’s partially disassembled, so you can either reassemble her and enjoy cruising right away, or continue with the dis-assembly and undertake the restoration that was planned. My father has specifications and manuals on everything (see photo gallery below). All of the systems are functional (motors, generator, Capac, pumps, etc) but he found all of the manuals anyway. He has all of the scheduled service records, original brochures, and even the product fliers that came with all of the original components. The motors are in top shape and ran like a song when he pulled it out of the water. The generator only has about 1300 hours on it. The Capac system that was standard on these steel hill boats takes care of any electrolysis concerns. The only mechanical flaw with the boat came as a result of its storage. With the sudden health issues, my father never had the chance to drain the water from the hot water tank. Over time, it leaked and dripped water onto a small patch of the hull that rusted a small area that will need to be repaired. Photos are provided below. The boat is sound. If we didn’t have our time dominated by two toddlers, my husband and I would take the boat and finish the restoration so we could enjoy the family cruising ourselves. Except for the needed hull patch, the work is all cosmetic.

1969 Chris-Craft Commander Boat is located in Lake of the Ozarks,Missouri. Please contact the owner @ 314-503-seven zero nine seven or byansen17(at)gmail(dot)com...The 1969 Chris Craft 42 Commander has classic style that is still copied today. Here is your chance to own an original MacKerer design at a fraction of the cost of new. All original and all working, twin 427's -- 300 hp each, hard top, open salon, full galley, and two private staterooms provide room for family and friends. The Chris Craft Commander line represents the first fiberglass cruiser series built by Chris Craft, commencing with the first 38' Express designed and built in secret, and shipped to the 1964 New York Boat Show under wraps for what was a truly stunning unveiling. Fred Hudson, working in conjunction with Chris Craft's Senior Vice President, A.W. "Bill" MacKerer, designed the first 38' Commander Express. In subsequent years there were many more models of the Commander penned by Dick Avery, all of which have nearly flawless proportion and great attention to detail. The Commanders created a boating style of their own, flawless proportions, logical function, and the feeling of solid value. When you saw one (and see one today) you immediately think "Chris Craft". They are known by marine surveyors, collectors, and boating enthusiast's world-wide as "the standard" for fiberglass boat construction." This is by far the cleanest 1969 boat on the market. I am the fourth owner of this beautiful vessel. One owner for 40 years, formerly named "Andon" and kept on a hoist in a boathouse in Michigan a good majority of her life. I bought it there and transported it to Lake of the Ozarks Missouri in June 2013. The boat was completely original and is stunning to look at. I have not renamed her, but she is a freshwater only vessel, and has never spent a winter in the water until this year. The vessel is wonderful but I am forced to sell. Currently she is stored at a marina at The Lake of the Ozark. All maintenance records, original books, invoice sheets and checklist from factory, and several other manual are available. This boat is a must see!! Make: Chris-Craft Model: Commander Length: 42 Dealer: BoatsFSBO.com ID: 245711 Ad provided by BoatingBay
