1974 Chris-Craft 35 Catalina The 350 Catalina is one of the most popular Chris Crafts ever made. Built on a solid-fiberglass, low deadrise hull with a wide beam, the 350 has an enormous interior for her size as well as an entertainment-friendly helm - aft deck platform. This is a warm, very roomy and very comfortable boat, with full standing headroom everywhere (6'4"). This is a true live-aboard boat, with an interior roomy enough that long periods aboard even in bad weather are easy and pleasant. She'll sleep six comfortably. They don't make boats like this any more, with solid heavy construction, good materials, designed and made with care and attention to detail. Her interior accommodations include a spacious main cabin with AC and huge windows. Windows are large and open, providing plenty of light and fresh air. The salon has an Island feel. The full galley has large counter space, a sink, a Princess 3-burner electric stove and oven, a microwave. a refrigerator with freezer, and cabinets above and below. There is also an ice maker and coffee maker. There is a 5 gallon hot water heater and a pressure tank to maintain even water pressure. There are two roomy staterooms each with two built-in berths, plus storage under the beds, a full-size closet, and a cabinet. The head has cabinet storage and plenty of counter space, a stall shower enclosure, sink and marine toilet. The engine room is large, and full access to both engines is available by taking up two floor panels. Topside, the helm is level with the aft deck, so the helmsman isn't separated from the passengers. In addition to the captain's and mate's chairs, there is ample room for two or three other chairs and a cooler to keep drinks handy. The windshield opens from the top, so they can usually remain somewhat open for fresh air even in the rain. The top comes down to make it a good sized sport boat atmosphere. Full canvas protects the deck. She has full walk around decks and a large foredeck with built-in seating, and a large teak swim platform with ladder. She will cruise at 12-15 knots with a top speed in the upper teens to low 20's. She is powered by chevy V-8 350s. The boat is very comfortable under way, handling reasonable weather well and only occasionally landing spray on the deck. Trim tabs, windshield wipers, and horn are also on the helm. These Chris Crafts were built with longevity as the result if not the goal at the time. They are very user friendly with easy line handling set-up for the crew. This Chris is stored for the winter, but access can be arranged for a visit.

BOAT OWNER'S NOTES; Call John at 434-990-1943. Chris Craft 350 Catalina $17,900 "AS IS", Please read my Autobiography. Hello, I am THERAPY IV and was launched in 1980 - one of the early Fiberglass Chris Crafts and I am currently located in Northern Neck, Virginia. My primary responsibility was to provide great THERAPY for my Captain and his bride of more than 50 years; my secondary responsibility was serving my country as a USGS Auxiliary Safety Patrol Boat from 2003 - 2008 performing vessel facility inspections. My 3 blade propeller is powered by two rebuilt 270 HP inboard GM 350s with less than 100 hours use, I could cruise effortlessly at 14 knots and I could give you 24 knots max anytime you ask fueled by 175 gallon tanks. Just before my owner passed away three years ago he had trouble starting my engines and had a mechanic take a look at me, The mechanic said my carburetors needed to be rebuilt (due to the new kind of gasoline). My rebuilt carburetors arrived just about the time my owner passed away and were installed and tested in 2010, The mechanic also reported my port engine needed some repair and that my batteries needed replacing, *please see notes below. Now for the good news and the rest of my story, my hull is a Modified Vee, with a 35 foot length and 13 foot beam and my dry weight is 17,229 pounds, with accommodations that include a great fully equipped galley area with Oven and Electric Range 3 burner Princess, Microwave and full-size refrigerator, 4 twin berths for comfortable sleeping, 2 cabins, and 1 Marine head w/holding tank w/deck pump out including lavatory and shower w/hot water. My inside support hardware, electronics, and equipment include a depth finder, log-speedometer, compass, GPS, ICOM VHF w/hailer, a DVD player, an Electric bilge pump, 2 - Zone Air conditioning Heat/Cooling, shore power inlet, Onan 6.5 Generator, and for rigging a steering wheel. My outside support includes cockpit cushions, Cockpit cushions, Swim platform w/boarding ladder, Bimini Top,Fume and co2 detector, Danforth anchor *My owners spouse is selling me "AS IS" based upon the mechanic's comments. =========================================================. This boat was seized for back storage owed. This boat is in good condition, and needs nothing to enjoy today! This has always been a Great Lakes freshwater boat. The engines are in good running condition, showing good oil pressure, with 1431 original hours, and can be driven anywhere. It would make a great family cruiser or big water fishing boat owing to the large aft deck. This boat would benefit from a polish and wax to make her look her best. Both upper and lower helm stations are functioning properly. The engines are tuned and running great. The port engine is a new long block installed last month. The starboard is original and runs great. Structurally, she is good condition, with no signs of damage or abuse. There are no major scratches, nor are there any repairs. The decks are solid, and the bottom has anti-fouling paint. These boats are renowned for having fiberglass stringers that are impervious to rot. The soft goods are in fair condition. The cabin upholstery and carpet is in good shape, except the V-berth, which could use new upholstery. There are sleeping accommodations for 6 adults, 2 in the V-berth, 2 on convertible settee, and 2 on sofa/bunk beds. The galley is nice, with AC/DC refrigerator and 2 burner electric/alcohol range and sink. The head has an electric marine toilet and shower. The canvas consists of a bridge cover and cockpit backdrop. They are in fair, serviceable condition, but due to be replaced soon. The boat was recently in the water and in good running order. See the recent videos from October, 2015 of the boat under way! VALUE: Many of these boats sell for $15,000.00 to $20,000.00 on the internet and open market.
