This is a project boat, ½” mahogany plywood bottom and ?” sides with vinyl fore deck and transom cap. We have been throughout the boat and haven’t found any rot. Very nice wood preserved well over the years, including bilges and transom depths. Hull and deck in very good shape; existing paint in fair shape and has kept structural skins beneath well protected. Boat shrink wrapped and stored in doors for majority of past 2 years, prior to we were informed this vessel was moored under cover most of its life and considering its age and condition, it is believable.
Upholstery is in exceptionally good condition, only requiring heavy cleaning of the vinyl pieces, and cabin cushions (dinette, v-berth, Port bench and bunk) need a deep dry/steam clean- no tears, no major stains or damage, and no mold. Very nice quartz laminate counter-tops in galley and denette. Stainless galley sink and Orien alcohol stove, ice box cabinet, head features porta-potty/plumbed toilet, sink and faucet. New electrical 6 gang panel install started in the head. Dual 50 gal fuel tanks in good condition, no visible corrosive damage. A large amount of storage exists in this model- perfect for liveaboard or long weekend cruises. The fwd sliding Stb glass pane is broken. Sturdy and firm Swim Step in sound condition. Aft cockpit transom bench seating needs cover boards replaced.
Helm station in very good condition. Chromed control handles in excellent shape with no major corrosive wear or pitting. Gauges are in fair shape, but silkscreening nomenclature is very worn; It is all there though, no missing hardware or parts. We have parts for bimini canvas top install, but unfinished- does not have canvas, just poles and hardware. Chris Craft emblems are in very good shape, no breaks or cracks and very light pitting.
Prime for a quick and thorough restore. All the parts and pieces are here and are in top notch shape- not much research and searching for parts for this one. Includes the original 283 motor parts list and wiring manual. Nice boat prime for a restore with another lifetime left in her hull and deck!
