1969 Chris Craft1 42 Commander Sportfish *********ESTATE SALE******* "BLUE CHIP" is truly a classic! She was reported to have been repowered in 1994 with twin Crusader 502 CI engines with 380hp each. The current owners purchased her in 1999 and it had 197 reported engine hours at the time & they estimate that have not put more than 100 hours on her since. Being shed kept a good portion of her life has kept her in very good condition. They don't build them like this anymore! She is seriously for sale and all offers are encouraged and will be presented!

Up for sale is a very sorted out 1967 Chris Craft Commander 38. This was the first year that Chris Craft built them in solid fiberglass but it still has that old wood boat look. It has twin Perkins 6.354 diesels that run like a dream. The boat cruises at 10knt with a top speed somewhere in the 14knt area. Best of all it runs at just 5gph at cruise. I keep the 2-100 gal tanks full and its always a pleasant surprise when I get my fuel bill....Could do a bit better on top speed with trim tabs but currently we don't have them. This would make an ideal dive charter boat (easy to profit when it costs a $20 to go diving), with a few very easy and inexpensive modifications, although i would hate to see all we have done torn out. Also have a prime slip in the St Pete Municipal Marina that we can transfer. One of the best spots in the marina. Current wait list is 6-9 months This boat has been extensively remodeled and updated and is a basically a turn key boat: 1967 Chris Craft Commander 38 1st year of fiberglass commander Twin Perkins 6.354 natural Diesels 200 gal fuel 100 gal water King front birth Full bath with shower Updated throughout Ready to cruise condition with all lines, fenders, chart plotter, radio, anchor etc. Runs 100%…5gph at cruise 2013: New top of the line bottom paint. Still appears new, maintained monthly New shafts, props and rudders Stuffing Boxes re-stuffed New water impellers, both sides. All through hulls serviced Both full tanks cleaned, fuel polished, New fuel filler hoses installed, new senders installed New paint on exterior surfaces, Brightside All new toilet drain lines installed from head to tank and tank to new deck fitting New electric head 2014: Bridge installed New hydraulic steering system installed New control cables installed with upper station controls added New stainless steel water heater installed New fresh water pump installed New AC water pump installed New window covers installed New memory foam mattress installed New snap in carpet for rear deck 2015: Salon gutted and remodeled with new carpet, flooring, all new wood on walls and floors, new ceiling, led lights including color changing lights, new couch upholstery, new overhead console, new stereo. Lower Cabin: new flooring, kitchen cabinets, sink, faucet, refrigerator, bench with storage, ceiling, LED lighting, AC unit and microwave New stainless 1’’ railing added to fly bridge. New starboard transmission installed New starboard starter installed New VHF antenna New gauges installed at lower and upper station Even thought thats a comprehensive list, there may be some things that the new owner may feel still need attention as you would expect from an antique boat. I would call the boat 80-90% done as far as a remodel / refit is concerned. That said, there is no reason it could not offer the new owner a turn key hands off opportunity if you are not like me...i like everything perfect and as such i never stop working on my projects...and boats are always that. I you have any specific questions just ask. The generator has been installed in the compartment but has not been wired or plumbed. Everything is there, through hulls etc, but it needs to be hooked up. I guarantee that it functions. It is diesel. Included in the sale are a few other items, we found an original hard top that will be great and we have seat bases for the fly bridge that are included. We also have some of the carpet that we have not used. Also include is a full radar system. we did not install it because we were waiting to install the top. Also have an AC breaker panel with shore/gen switch. Here is a recent video of it cruising. http://youtu.be/IKpmybsxQ08 just copy into your browser to view. Owner Financing Terms: 10,000 down with 1000 per month which includes the boat payment, your slip fee, bottom cleaning and insurance. We will do it simple interest and the Terms are firm.

Her Crusader engines have been replaced with rebuilds and run well with around 40 hours.  "Miss Morgan" also has a low hour Kohler 7.3 KW Gen Set with sound shield. ESTATE SALE 1971 CHRIS CRAFT 42 COMMANDERAFT CABIN TWIN FORD 460 C.I. STRAIGHT DRIVE INBOARD ENGINES Classic 42’ Commander Aft Cabin with many expensive upgrades. This has been a local Lake St. Clair boat since new. Her most recent owner of 15 years spent much time and money on upgrades over the years. This boat is being offered for sale due to the owner’s passing. The previous owner re-powered this boat approximately 100 hours ago with big block 460 c.i. Ford V-8 motors coupled to new Z.F. Hurth transmissions. These motors are naturally aspirated and feature custom stainless steel exhaust, new shafts and 4 blade props. The owner easily spent what we are asking for the entire boat, just on the re-power alone. Other custom professionally crafted upgrades include:· Teak bow pulpit· Anchor Windlass· Stainless Steel railings to replace original life lines· Teak toe rails replaced· Radar Arch· Enlarged galley with full size fridge and built-in microwave· Aft Cabin queen size bed to replace twin beds The electronics on the boat are vintage. Radar, GPS, Depth Sounder, Trim Tabs, Spotlight and gauges are all in working order. VHF, Sniffer, Horns are not operable. The hull is in very good condition, very shiny, with no signs of major repairs or damage. The spray rail stainless cap has a few dings on either side towards the aft on both sides. The bottom is very good with no build up of bottom paint. It would appear that the bottom was stripped in recent years. The Canvas is in good condition and includes top, side curtains and straight back-drop as well as helm, Captain’s seat, aft deck seats and bow seat covers. Exterior seating all in good shape. The cabin headliner is good. Cabin soft goods are in need of replacement. Carpet, bedding, curtains are all dated. These upgrades would make the boat a star! Also, the forward V-berth cabin needs new wallpaper. The Two Marine Air/Heat units function properly. Onan 6.5KW Generator starts, but won’t stay running, needs tune-up. Hot water tank operation has not been tested. Two electric flush heads fore and aft. Owners Manuals present. SEE VIDEOS OF BOAT RUNNING ON LAKE ST.
