Extensive professional refit, Recent survey and many upgrades Designed by David Sadler and Jeremy Rodgers in the 1960s, the classic little Contessa 26, like her popular sibling the Contessa 32, is one of the better known and loved British productions yachts, with around 650 cruising the world today. She’s a pretty boat, built from fibreglass, and owes her looks to the Swedish Folkboat whose elegant and seaworthy design influenced so many cruisers of the era. Although not speedy by today’s standards the Contessa was a fast boat for her time and established a reputation as a one-design racer with an active class association.

If you've ever considered living on the water, or looking for an inexpensive way to live in Marina Del Rey; here's your opportunity. I'm selling my 1986 Bayliner Contessa with pretty much everything included. if you're wondering "Why?" I stay on a large boat on the next dock over with my lady. About the boat: It's a well maintained boat. Rebuild Moter New Motor Mounts New Starter New Water pump 1 New batter Rebuilt Carburetor Rebuild Alternator Spacious deck Galley has running water, spacious counter space and a 2 burner electric stove V-Berth (sleeps 2) conformable. Small head area with toilet & shower (Location also has public showers outside approx. 30 ft. away) White top liner (good condition) Hardwood floors (about 3 years old) Set of 3 mini blinds Microwave Futon Bed (possibly needs replacement) It's looking a little worn out. Small Computer desk 32' Visio plasma TV Sony DVD Does have a Sony marine stereo (will be re-installed) currently using in my car. GPS Laundry basket & nice white igloo (included). As I said; I'm pretty much leaving everything behind. Dishes, glasses, forks, spoons & Knives included. With that said; I need to fix a few things. 1. the propeller pops up when i put it in reverse. Mechanic said it needed some metal piece. Yes I forgot what it's called. 2. I'll replace the stereo and 3 who ever purchases the boat, I'll make sure it's starts right up and you're able to take it out. I am wanting to sell or trade my 1982 Bayliner Contessa Flybridge boat and trailer for either cash, or trade for a 32ft or larger sailboat, travel trailer, fifth wheel or motorhome. My boat is 28.5 feet not including the bow sprit or swim step. I've remodeled the kitchen installing a propane three burner stove and oven, granite countertop, two sided stainless steel sink, high rise faucet and ceramic tile. Also new kitchen flooring. Has new carpet though out the cabin. New electric toilet. All new GFI electrical outlets in kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Brand new 586 HP 454 big block motor with 70 hours on it. Volvo Penta 280 outdrive rebuilt in 2012. I have it moored in Newport with the slip paid up until May, 2016. I am looking for a minimum of 30 feet with slides RV. My boat is turn key and ready to go so I expect the same on the RV or trailers. Not looking for projects of any kind. Trailer not for sale alone.
