Bottom paint was not completed when photos were taken. She has 5 coats of interlux epoxy on the bottom. She has had many updates and upgrades. Her interior is clean and there were no tears or wear observed on the upholstery. Canvas is in great shape. Paint above the waterline has a great shine. A few spots need a touch up. Seller reports all systems are functional and the boat has been very well maintained since being rebuilt. Newer engines were installed around 2015 during the rebuild. Refrigerator and original toilet have been removed from the head. We highly recommend a professional inspection before making a final purchase decision. Stock #283791 1969 Customized Lyman Sportsman with Flybridge, Custom converted to a Sportsman model This Lyman is located in Marblehead, OH and has been very well maintained and upgraded. It was originally built as an Islander model by Lyman but has been converted to the Sportsman layout by the current seller. The engines are not original and were replaced with Crusaders around 2015. Trim tabs have been added to help with weight redistribution when cruising, allowing the boat to not lean to one side or the other. The cockpit floor is made of African Leopard Wood, cushions are in good condition and show very little wear, (4) NAPA Marine batteries were replaced in 2016. The refrigerator and toilet has been removed. A porta potti is now in the head as a replacement. She will cruise 20-25mph and hit a top speed of 40mph on flat water. The engines were maintained by the owner, a retired diesel mechanic, and reportedly would start right up, but the batteries are currently dead and the ability to start the engines is unknown. A spare set of props is included. The dishwasher in the galley needs repair or replacement, and the upper hull and exterior are in need of paint. The hull has been unattended to for a few years. All batteries need to be replaced. Stock #158807 Classic 1968 Monk 44 - Clean Live-aboard - Puerto Panasco Mexico - Near Phoenix and Tuscon, AZ This beautiful classic Monk was custom made in Gig Harbor, WA and constructed with Yellow Cedar, White Oak, and Mahogany. It sports wood rails and brass stanchions and has a large covered back deck. This will make a great live-aboard, as that has been its use for about 20 years with the current owners. The main cabin sports a queen bed, and the salon has a queen sized sofa sleeper. The galley dinette was converted to an office that could easily be converted back and accommodate another double berth for a total sleeping capacity of 6. It is powered with twin 453 Natural Detroit diesel engines, Velvet Drive transmissions with hydraulic assist controls, and bronze props. Enter the spacious salon through the double doors from the covered back deck, and enjoy the view through the very large windows, equipped with covers while in port. The owner has done an excellent job of restoring and preserving this beauty. Seller has windshields. They are wrapped and cushioned for storage. There are 3 spares for a total of 5; Each side is counted as one. Although some seams needed a little attention, there were no soft spots in the floor and no noticeable crack below the water line. There were a few small spots where the seller touched the finish with something that created a white spot. The seller coated the bottom of this beauty with fiberglass to create a more sustainable bottom of the wooden vessel. Most of the original components have been preserved and are in working order. This vessel has a 1941 water pump and it works! Also included is the original cowling, and the owner has treated it with a product to make it super shiny. It looks great!! The chrome has been redone and shines brightly. The seller has replaced the old steel rusted gas tank with a very durable aluminum gas tank. The owner has fully rewired it and added a fuse box, bilge pump and blower. Bilge blower has been added. All of the gauges work. Horn works, spotlight works and is maneuvered with a knob on the dashboard. Keep covered on trailer in garage when not in use. Thick canvas cover. Replaced gas tank with custom aluminum tank and added fuel water separator / filter. Gauges all work and are original. Replaced copper head gasket when inspecting and cleaning the engine. This boat was Professionally Custom built in San Diego, in 1958. It looks as if it had two owners throughout that time. The boat stayed in San Diego and was last registered in 1974. It was parked in a garage and stayed there until it was recently bought and brought to Las Vegas NV, where the Corvette 327 SB V8 was going to be pulled and the boat discarded. I saved it from that fate so that someone with the property skills and motivation could restore the boat. Everything is there and in surprisingly good condition. The wood is not rotten and the engine turns freely. Even the Upholstery looks good. It is on the original wooden trailer and can be moved short distances. I would not recommend depending on the trailer for a cross country trip. I am offering the boat for $3,700.00 OBO. BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC WOODEN BOAT, TRULY A ONE OF A KIND, THIS BOAT WAS BUILT IN THE MID 1960'S BY THREE MEN, A FRENCHMAN. A, SWEDE AND AN ITALIAN, THE THREE MEN DECIDED TO BUY SOME LAND IN THE BOUNDARY WATERS OF CANADA AND WANTED TO BUILD A CABIN THAT THEY COULD ALL SHARE AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE YEAR. IN 1954, THEY BUILT THEIR FIRST WOODEN BOAT, IN 1957 THEY BOUGHT A PARCEL OF LAND THAT WAS IN THE WATERS OF CANADA AND DECIDED TO BUILD THEIR CABIN, IN 1957 THEY USED THE FIRST BOAT THAT THEY BUILT WHICH BELONGED TO THE ITALIAN TO HAUL LUMBER FROM THE SHORE TO THIS PARCEL OF LAND WHICH WAS 2 HOURS AWAY, FIVE YEARS WENT BY AND THE THREE IMMIGRANTS DECIDED TO BUILD ANOTHER BOAT FOR THE FRENCHMAN WHICH WAS COMPLETED IN 1964, BOTH BOATS BUILT IN 1954 AND 1964 WERE IDENTICAL, IN 1965 THE, THREE MEN DECIDED TO BUILD YET ANOTHER BOAT FOR THE SWEDE, WELL THE SWEDE AFTER BUILDING TWO BOATS DECIDED NOT TO CUT ANY CORNERS ON BUILDING HIS OWN BOAT, HE WENT ALL OUT, THIS MAN WAS GOOD, THIS BOAT WAS BEING BUILT WHEN I WAS 2 YEARS OLD, I WENT THROUGH LIFE JUST LOVING BOATS BECAUSE OF THEM. WHEN YOU SEE THE QUALITY IN THIS BOAT YOU WILL APPRECIATE THE WORKMANSHIP OF THESE 3 MEN. AND TODAY, 50 YEARS LATER I AM THE OWNER OF THIS ONE OF A KIND BOAT AND MY 3 FRIENDS ARE WATCHING OVER THIS FROM HIGH ABOVE. THIS BOAT IS TRULY AN EXAMPLE OF HIGH QUALITY CRAFTSMANSHIP, IT IS WELL MAINTAINED AND GARAGE KEPT UNDER HUMIDITY CONTROLLED CONDITIONS, THIS BOAT HAS BEEN IN STORAGE FOR 26 YEARS BUT PUT INTO THE WATER AT LEAST 6 TIMES JUST AS PART OF ITS PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE. CHROME EXHAUST, IN TAKE AND OUT TANK VISIBLE NEAR THE TRANSOM, WHICH IS 2" SOLID OAK, THERE IS A SPARE MOUNT ON THE TRANSOM FOR A KICKER MOTOR, IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE THERE IS A TRANSOM SAVER (IT'S A BAR OR AN ARM THAT HOOKS TO THE BOTTOM OF THE MOTOR). AND THERE IS A KICK PLATE FOR A SMALLER MOTOR), FULL. POWER, GAUGES ON THE DASH INCLUDING TILT, TRIM, FUEL, AMPS, RPM, ETC, THERE IS A MOUNT FOR A DEPTH FINDER (HARNESS IS THERE). THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS FULLY PADDED WITH FIRE RESISTANT PADDING WHICH ALSO REDUCES THE RISK OF NOISE, THE BOAT IS VERY COOL SOUNDING LIKE A HARLEY ON WATER. THE PADDING REDUCES THE RISK OF A FIRE IN YOUR ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND ALSO HELPS FLOTATION IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY, I BELIEVE THAT THIS BOAT HAS ONLY BEEN IN THE WATER 6 TIMES SINCE IT WAS BUILT.
