1993 Sunfish / Laser / Daysailor DaySailor Up for sale is a 16' Daysailer produced by Sunfish/Laser. This one owner boat is in excellent condition and comes complete as a package. It's been service here at Ocean House Marina since it was new each year with service records on file and available upon request in PDF format. Included with the sale of this boat is a Johnson 3 HP two stroke motor in excellent condition and very few hours. This is a very desirable and hard to find two stroke portable motor. This motor has a self contained fuel tank and runs well with ethanol fuel. The motor has been serviced here at Ocean House Marina as well. Also included with this package is a galvanized trailer. All sails and rigging are in good working order. The sail was always stored indoors and in excellent shape with it's own custom sail bag. The boat was also shrink wrapped and put away dry each year here at Ocean House Marina, all service recorded in detail. The boat is here on display at Ocean House Marina. This is a famous design by Uffa Fox. It is a perfect boat for the beginning sailor. It has a cuddy cabin for storage and very simple line handling for learning to sail. Stepping the mast is easy for two persons. Maintenance is also easy, just wash it to keep it clean. It's size makes for easy storage and can fit in a garage. It has two sails, the mainsail and a jib. Both are in nice shape. I did not like making the rope-part of the sail go up the inside of the mast and had 1/2 " sail lugs professionally installed to make main sail raising and lowering also easy. The port (left) side of the seats has a storage bin (lines or cold pop, whatever). The tiller is a swing up tiller and the rudder is a pull down by a rope. The boat uses a swing keel below. The outboard is a 1959 Evinrude lightwin 3, 2 stroke, twin cylinder. If one cylinder should quit for any reason, the other will get you home. I have replaced the water pump impeller, both coils, condensers and plugs. I drain the tank at the end of each season. I sailed this boat mostly on Lake Michigan. It has never seen saltwater. I am including the 1985 Shoreline trailer. It has 3 practically new tires. The wheels are clean and the axle uses "bearing buddies" to keep water out of the bearings. I also have the winch and trailer-jack mounted. I also have the O'Day mast prop (as shown in one the my pictures). It comes with a Danforth anchor, trailer straps, 2 vinyl hanging fenders, Danforth Sailor II compass mounted and all lines and hardware necessary to go right to the water. This boat is not missing anything. I require the prospective owner to pick up the boat. It trailers very well. I know you will like this boat and its nice condition. Classic Hard to find, 1979 Boston Whaler 5.2 Harpoon day sailor with optional removable cuddy, Unsinkable! New Continental trailer! bought a few years ago but never put in water. Main & Jib Sails are in very good condition..comes with a 3.5hp outboard motor and full boat cover. The boat needs a little TLC.. See photos of rub rail, is broken in a few places. Needs new seats. I was going to replace the mahogany seats but never got around to it. (I still have the originals which will go with the boat) The hull is in good condition but needs compounding . When I bought the boat the hull had some barnacle damage, which damaged the gel coat, this has since been repaired. This is a fast fun boat and can be sailed easily by one person!
