1985 De Vries Motorsailer 50 A truly exceptional DeVries motorsailer,one owner since originally built! Grotemeid is a DeVries 50 custom made to the owner request by the reputable DeVries yard in1985 in Drimlin, outside Amsterdam, Holland. The owner personally followed the construction and once the yacht was commissed and delivered, he crossed the Atlantic back to Florida.He wanted a safe & strong, easy to handle ketch with two cabins, large pilot house salon, large galley and dining area. She is a pilot house yacht, so she can also be comfortably operated from the interior, with great visibility and in the comfort of the large pilot house. The aft deck pilot station is well protected by a large bimini which allows the vessel operation with great visibility an an extremely safe environment if weather gets rough.The hull construction is with 8mm steel. The deck is painted with antiskid (never had teak deck). She offers a well equipped L shaped galley to starboard accessible by descending 3steps,which also provide access to a very comfortable semi-circular dining table, sitting 6-8 persons. The aft master cabin is one of the highlights of this boat with fullstanding headroom and a full queen size berth with ensuite head with a large vanity, shower and an electric head. The forward V-berth is spacious with plenty of storage and an ensuite head with vanity and electric head. There are two large storage areas, a pantry closet close to the forward cabin and a tool room close to the aft cabin. 1958 DeVries Lentsch Steel Ketch She is a 1958 but she was refit in 2014/15 and is ready to go again. Built in De Vries Lentsch boat yard in Holland. She is a very unique Steel Ketch with Spruce Main and Mizzen Masts. The standing rigging was all made new around 1998 by the previous owner who had her for 20 years. No expense was spared with the poured socket bronze fittings and at that time the masts and boom were taken apart and re-glued them with epoxy resin glue. It was all taken apart in 2014, and the spreaders were refastened and all of the mast fittings and the sail tracks were fitted with new stainless when it was re-assembled, also 6 coats of spar varnish were put on the masts. Cables were inspected and show no sign of stress when they were down. Here is just a few of the many new and rebuilt items. 1962 SEAFARER Rhodes Meridian 25, This is a classic cruiser designed by Phillip Rhodes.--Built: 1962 by DeVries in Amsterdam Holland for Seafarer Yachts. --Specs: Classic design full keel cruiser, hull 57. Thick fiberglass construction. Spruce wood mast/boom/spinnaker pole. 12v Electrical System - 12 volt batteries (replaced 2015). Length overall 24'9", waterline 17'6", beam 7', draft 33". Height mast-top to waterline 32'2". Ballast keel 2491 lbs, displacement 5070 lbs.--Condition: Very good condition, exterior refurbished in 2011. Exterior Hull re-painted (in 2011). Interior completely refurbished w/ new head (in 2011). Mast, boom, spinnaker pole, all exterior wood recently re-varnished.--Accessories: Sails: Main, Jib, Genoa, spinnaker.
