33 ft. Traditional down east lobster boat built in Maine by one of the best, Calvin Beal. Not only do his boats look great, their ride and performance are at the top of the list. I have been commercial fishing for over 35 years, owned a lot of boats, and this boat by far is my favorite. It's great in a chop, maneuvers like a cat, safe, and very economical to run. I am the second owner, the original owner had the boat built and fished it for many years and when I saw it I bought it on the spot. You could immediately tell he took a lot of pride in the boat and kept it maintained. I have done the same, and have spent the last month going over everything on the boat to get it ready to sell. This boat is clean, everything works properly, and it's ready to go to work now. There are no surprises with this boat. It's equipped with hydro slave 12" hauler, shaft driven pump with Pitts clutch, hydro slave power steering, Twin Disc reverse gear 2 to 1 ratio, 1 1/2 stainless shaft, Furuno radar, big screen Garmin GPS plotter, two Sitex depth sounders, 80 gallon fuel. It had 8500 hours on the engine and reverse gear. I can work a 10 hour day of running pots and burn 12-14 gallons. The boat cruises economically at 15 knots and will top out over 20 knots. There are no leaks, and no maintenance issues, oil and all filters have been changed. I will be available for anyone interested to show the boat and take a test ride, you will not be disappointed.

Classic "Down-East" power boat built by G.I. "Sonny" Hodgdon in East Boothbay, Maine in 1979. Designed by Woodin and Marean naval architects and listed in the "Hodgdon Shipbuilding and Mills" book by Barbara Rumsey. Engine was installed by Crosby in Osterville, Massachusetts in 1980. Engine has fewer than 2000 hours. Entire cooling system has been renewed and renovated. In past 2 winters side decks and after deck and cockpit coaming were replaced. In winter of 2015 frames were renewed and renovated. Fasteners have been inspected and renewed where necessary. Transom was refinished in 2015. Paint is okay but needs renewal...was intended but ran out of winter. Canvas "camper" top is in good condition. Canvas includes side curtains, windshield cover, wheel house curtains and bench cover. Cabin had vee berths for two, small galley with stove and refrigerator and sink, head with integral holding tank. All upholstery in cabin is in excellent condition. Forward is an anchor locker. Stowage is below berths, hanging locker in head and lockers in cabin. There is a helm in the wheelhouse and an after helm which is ideal for maneuvering. Boat is a comfortable, family and friends, fun boat.

1974 Jarvis Newman Jarvis Down East 36 MUST SEE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY-Powered with a 2006 Yanmar 380 hp Turbo Diesel. Engine only has 380 hours of use. Runs, Last Ran 1/17. North star Generator only has 46 hours. This boat was restored in 2012. If you know the Jarvis Newman, you understand the craftsmanship that went into building her. She is loaded with electronics including radar, autopilot, VHF, satellite radio, and a fish finder. All in working order except the fish finder which would not power up (might just be a fuse). She has ac, Teleflex electric shift control, Yanmar electronic LCD engine monitor, heater, updated electric including breaker panels, LPG system, fully enclosed head, and more. Bottom was recently painted and she is now in the water ready for use. She can use some paint and varnish work here and there, nothing too difficult. The analog gauges at the helm stopped working but the Yanmar engine monitoring system works just fine. The teak aft deck is developing some rot in the framework. Very common for a 43 year old boat in Florida. Two pilot house windows are cracked but it looks like a fairly easy job to replace them. Stop by and take a look. She is a very handsome boat from a high quality designer and builder.
