THIS IS A 1970 DUO SPOILER 15 FT FIBERGLASS TRI-HULL. IT'S OLD BUT IT'S NICE. IT RUNS LIKE A TOP. SHORT STORY ABOUT THIS BOAT. IT WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW BY AN OLDER GENTLEMAN THAT USED IT AT LAKE ERIE. HE BECAME UNABLE TO USE THE BOAT AS THE YEARS WENT BY AND HE PARKED IT IN AN OLD GARAGE. HE WOULD GO OUT AND JUST SIT IN IT AS HE LOVED IT. AS THE YEARS WENT BY THE GARAGE ROOF DEVELOPED A LEAK AND IT WOULD LEAK ON THE BOAT. EVENTUALLY IT ROTTED THE COVER AND RAIN GOT INSIDE AND ROTTED THE TRANSOM AND THE REAR PART OF THE FLOOR. A FRIEND OF MINE PURCHASED THE BOAT FROM THE OLD MANS SON AND WE PURCHASED THE BOAT FROM HIM. IT WAS ORIGINAL COMPLETE WITH THE MOTOR AND ORIGINAL TRAILER. FROM THAT POINT FORWARD I DID A COMPLETE REBUILD OF THE INSIDE OF THE BOAT. I REMOVED THE TOP CAP FROM THE BOAT AND PUT IN A NEW TRANSOM AND FLOOR AND RE-FIBERGLASSED STRINGERS, FLOOR AND TRANSOM. INSTALLED NEW CARPET AND USED EVERYTHING THAT WAS ORIGINAL TO THE BOAT SO AS TO KEEP IT AS CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL LOOK AS POSSIBLE. I MODIFIED THE SEATS AND REMOVED TWO OF THEM. (I DO HAVE THE OTHER 2 SEATS). I ADDED A LIVE WELL, ROD HOLDERS AND A BRAND NEW GAS TANK. INSIDE I HAVE ALSO ADDED BLUE LIZARD LIGHTS FOR NIGHT FISHING ALONG WITH A NEW GARMAN DOWN-VU FISH AND DEPTH FINDER WITH WATER TEMP FEATURE. THE BOAT IS EQUIPPED WITH THE ORIGINAL 50 HP MERCURY THUNDERBOLT ENGINE THAT I HAD A MARINE SHOP GO OVER IT BEFORE REINSTALLING IT ONTO THE TRANSOM. IT STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL PAPERWORK INSIDE A POCKET ON THE MOTOR COWLING. I THEN PURCHASED THE 6 HP EVINRUDE AND PUT THAT ON THE BOAT AND BOTH MOTORS ARE STEERABLE FROM THE CONSOLE. THE BOAT HAS A BRAND NEW BATTERY AS WELL. THE TRAILER IS ORIGINAL TO THE BOAT. I SANDED IT AND PAINTED IT AND ADDED ALL NEW LIGHTS AND WIRING. THE TRAILER HAS TWO BRAND NEW TIRES ON IT AND THE BEARINGS HAVE ALSO BEEN REDONE. THERE IS A SPARE TIRE THAT IS ALSO NEW. ADDED A NEW DOLLY LEG AND WINCH. THE BOAT COMES WITH A BRAND NEW MOORING COVER AND BIMINI TOP WITH ALL NEW HARDWARE THAT I HAD MADE FOR THE BOAT BY AN AMISH MAN. THE BIMINI TOP WAS MADE SO THAT IT CAN BE ADDED ONTO IF YOU WOULD LIKE IT TO BE BIGGER. BOAT WAS ALWAYS GARAGED KEPT AND SINCE REFURBISHING, IT HAS NEVER BEEN KEPT OUTSIDE. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO REMOVE THE LIVE WELL IT WOULD BE EASY TO DO. INCLUDED IN SALE WILL BE BOAT BUMPERS AS WELL AS ANCHORS AND ROPES MANY HOURS SPENT REFURBISHING IT AND LOTS OF $$$$$ TOO. I HAVE A 1995 (+ -) VOLVO PENTA SX-M DUO PROP OUTDRIVE. IT HAS LESS THAN 180 HRS USE & ALWAYS SYNTHETIC GEAR OIL. OIL WAS CHANGED AT APPROX 100 HRS WITH VOLVO GEAR OIL. I JUST REMOVED IT FROM THE BOAT (1983 26' SEARAY W/ 454 ci BIG BLOCK) MANIFOLDS WENT BAD & I THINK I SIEZED THE MOTOR. I REPOWERED IN 1998/1999 WITH NEW MOTOR & OUTDRIVE. HOURS METER WAS INSTALLED AT THIS TIME. PROPS ARE NOT INCLUDED UNLESS YOU PURCHASE OUTDRIVE AT FULL "BUY IT NOW" PRICE OF $3,195. THESE STAINLES F2 PROPS RETAIL AT OVER $1200. THEY ARE IN NEAR NEW CONDITION. I DIDN'T EVEN SPRAY THIS OFF WITH A HOSE. IT IS PERFECT INSIDE. I DIDN'T WANT HIDE ANYTHING W/ A QUICK PAINT JOB. I BELIEVE IT IS A 1.66 : 1 GEAR RATIO. 1984 Albemarle Duo prop 5.7L,Bottom never painted. Sunbrella top and vinyl curtains in good shape. Hull in good shape. I have owned since 2002. Repowered in 1999 with 5.7L. Stainless Duo props. Been on a lift and covered since owned. Time for risers and manifold replacement. Engine runs and outdrive okay as far as I know. I have only put 100 hours or so on engine in last 5 years. Throttle cable works but is tight. Needs replacement. Wife and I no long boat or fish. Trailer available if needed. Great boat after some maintenance. 1984 Bayliner Contessa 2850 Sunbridge Designer's Edition. I have owned this boat for 10 years now and have poured my heart and soul into it. I would go anywhere in it. However, we have upgraded to a 39' Carver and she must go to a new owner. NEW BEGINNINGS! was repowered with a Michigan Motorz 5.7 complete engine with a Holley 650 CFM carb. Manifolds and risers replaced spring of 2015. Outdrive is a Volvo-Penta 280 with a 290 Duoprop lower unit assembled, purchased from and checked by Rick E. of the Bayliner's Owners Forum. Gear lube always been clear and changed as needed. Running B2 props, also new in May 2015. Engine has 240 hours and runs like a champ. Gets on plane at 3100 RPMS. Cruises easily at 3300 at approx. 19KTS. Cruising consumption in 12 GPH. Just don't let the secondary's open! Then you can be up around 20 to 21 as she effortlessly picks up speed. new trim tab power pack and actuators. The interior is in spotless condition with NO excuses! Exterior is a solid 9 on the 10 scale. Interior is perfection! Gelcoat shines like new. Other specs as follows: -Bimini Top from Leta's top Shop -New house bank batteries.
