This boat is harder to pole than the super light skiffs especially in the wind but I have poled many a mile with it from the Marquesas to Islamorada and in Everglades National Park. The puck for mounting the Minnkota can be removed with the 4 machine screws that I have tapped into the phenolic board for an absolutely flush forward deck for fly fishing.
