Aside from the issues mentioned below, the owner confirms the boat is in overall good condition, though there is some wear and tear and the boat could use a cleaning. Yet to be completed is the replacement of the V-berth thruhull and seacock (handle didn't turn easily enough). The major issue the seller reports is that a rebuild of the rudder is needed, which accounts for the reduction in price. Upon completion of the above, the only thing from a safety standpoint he suggests to a new owner is to replace the lifelines with dyneema. Then go sailing. She is a seaworthy vessel capable of transatlantic crossings and cruising the coasts. The Schmoo II is a built like a tank and makes a comfortable liveaboard with her shoal draft. The captain and crew will sail in comfort in the large and roomy cockpit with a removable table. Downwind handling is aided by a boom brake. The interior cabin features a V-berth forward (Plan B) with filler, ventilators, and a hanging locker. The salon sleeps 3 with port and starboard settees, with the starboard settee converting to a double bed. She includes cushions and storage drawers beneath and above the settees, bookshelves, a bulkhead-mounted folding dinette table, 110 shore power, 12V plugs, and a hot water heater that runs off the engine or 110V shore power. Additional sleeping quarters include an aft quarter berth cabin which can also be used for storage when not used for passengers. Her galley includes a gimbaled stove/oven, an icebox (not to be confused with a refrigerator), and a double stainless-steel sink. The Endeavour is a solid, heavy, sturdy boat with a fiberglass hull and deck. The engine is a Perkins 4-108 diesel. She is far younger than her age by virtue of having her home port in the Northeast for the last 25 years where the sailing season is less than five months long and she was properly stored on the hard the remaining months of the year. The bottom paint was done in 2018, with new zincs. No osmosis or electrolysis or blisters was seen during visual inspection. She completed the Eastern Leg of the Great Loop before being placed on the hard. She will be ready to go after a recommissioning. Per the Seller: All gear and systems are in working order. Her classic lines and beautiful wood make her one not to pass up. She has been on the hard for 5 years. This boat had always been in fresh water and was stored inside during the winter prior to 2017, at which time she was sailed down the eastern track of the Great Loop. She is complete with extra sails, generator, heater, and many extras, even the dodger has an enclosure. The cockpit is aft and she is rigged for single-handed sailing. There is storage under all the benches and a folding table in front of the helm. All instruments are easily accessible and readable. The B&G Vulcan 5-inch Sailing Chart plotter is easy to use and is suitable for every sailor, featuring dedicated sailing features such as Sail Steer, Lay lines, Forward Scan and instrument displays. 1980 Endeavour 37 After thirty years of ownership this 1980 Endeavour 37 is being placed on the market by her very knowledgeable owners. This Endeavour 37 is the “Plan B” layout, considered to be the more traditional layout offering more galley storage space, a large main cabin and a feeling of warmth throughout the boat. This vessel will accommodate up to seven people. The original Perkins diesel is estimated to have between 1,000 to 1,200 hours of use. It will dependably motor along at 6.5 knots consuming approximately one gallon of fuel per hour. The 50 gallon fuel tank was installed new in 2015. This vessel has been meticulously maintained under the stewardship of the sellers. For example, in addition to the new fuel tank in 2015, a new 100 gallon water tank was installed in 2015. The electronics are up to date. An Autohelm Autopilot and Ritchie compass were added in 2010. A Dodger and Bimini were also added in 2010. Extensive repair and maintenance records are available. Included with the sailboat is an 8’ AB hard bottom inflatable with an 8 HP Mercury outboard that is professionally serviced each season. An extensive inventory of spare parts and tools is also included. This is a wonderful sailboat that has served the sellers well over the past three decades.
