THIS BOAT IS SUPER RARE, AND DONT KNOW HOW MANY ARE LEFT, THIS HAS BEEN IN DRY STORAGE FOR 51 YEARS, IT WAS ONLY USED THE FIRST 5 YEARS OF ITS LIFE THEN PUT AWAY. BOUGHT THIS FROM THE OWNERS WHO HAVE HAD IT IN FAMILY FOR LAST 51 YEARS, IT IS 16FT LONG, IT IS A 1959 HERTERS ST LAWRENCE MODELS, IS 5'4" WIDE AT MID BOAT AND 2 1/2 FT DEEP AT MIDDLE SECTION.IT WEIGHS 300 LBS AND IS MADE OF FIBERGLASS BODY AND ALUMINUM FRAMING, IS RATED FOR A 60HP OUTBOARD.IT HAS 4 BENCH SEATS AND IS VERY LARGE, ALSO HAS 2 SETS OF OAR HOLDERS. THE ONLY THING I HAVE DONE IS CLEANED OFF THE DIRT, I HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING ELSE AS I DONT WANT TO RUIN IT, I HAVE TAKEN PICS OF IT WITH WATER IN IT ,BODY AND TRANSOM IS SUPER SOLID. IT DOES NOT LEAK AT ALL AND THE FIBERGLASS IS ALL SOUND, YOU COULD SLAP A MOTOR ON IT AND TAKE IT OUT NOW, IT NEEDS 2 SCREWS 2 HOLD UP 3RD SEAT FLOATATION DEVICE OR REMOVE IT, AND IS MISSING 1 PIECE OF ABOUT 6 INCH MOLDING ,WHICH YOU WOULD PROBLABLY HAVE TO DUPLICATE AS IM SURE YOU CANT FIND IT, ALSO THE BOAT HAS SKID RAILS AT BACK OF TRANSOM AND HAS SKID RAIL LENGTH OF BOAT MADE OF METAL SO IT CAN BE DRAGGED ACROSS BEACH AND WONT GET RUINED. A beautiful lake Rowing showpiece or a boathouse decoration.. Many meticulous hours were put into this beauty. A true conversation piece at any lakeside. Trailer can be included, if the buyer would like to have it...there is no title for the trailer. Local Pickup in Reading, PA. It is a solid built wood boat with fiberglass coating. Always garage kept. Very clean and without any issues. The custom made canvas cover has a few areas that are in need of repair, but overall it has held up well over the years and fits perfectly to the boat. You will notice is the pictures that there are two locking compartments built-in, I could not find the key, so you will need to replace the lock or get a locksmith to replace the key (it takes a small "skeleton type" key). This boat would make an excellent tender on a vintage sailboat, too! Its a true work off art, made by a perfectionist and creative genius! Includes the original oars, also in great condition and blue in color to match the hinged floor. You will not likely find another boat like this anywhere! As per the owner, the boat runs great. The water pump was changed in 2021 along with 2 new interstate batteries last year. The cranking battery changed this year to an interstate. Kept under a full boat cover the entire boat and trailer are in above-average condition.
