I'm talking to my brother about selling a family boat that's been sitting in my yard for a handful of years, its a 1988 21' BAYLINER Bass Trophy boat with trailer, and a 125 hp FORCE motor (model 1254x8b), the boat has a canopy, plenty of storage, a fish finder etc (that probably still work, they did last time the boat was used). BUT this hasn't been started or run in about 6 years (it had been freshly tuned up before it was stored and not run since)... The hull is good, and interior needs work, some elbo grease gets the nice blue metalic flake paint job shining, but the cushions need replaced/recovered, and the carpet needs a good cleaning, and possibly more in a spot or two (but upon checking today, its actually better than I thought)... the boats suffered a bit inside from the oregon weather trashing tarps and leakage into the boat and sun... the plexi wind covers need replaced. I have NO working/charged battery and know very little about boats aside from what boat guys have told me about this and its value as is... so I can't (nor know how) to test anything... but I am tired of storing this, and its never going to get used, so its got to go... The Negative, is we lost the title. I'm trying to get my brother to work on getting a replacement, but hes super busy (california Highway Patrolman), and not sure he has the time to handle it... that being said, he will sign and notarize a bill of sale to whoever (and whatever deal) I sell it to... so worst case you have to get a replaced/salvaged or whatever title on the boat and trailer yourself... I just replaced tires with a used but good tread pair... it needs a spare still though, I do have the spare rim/flat. I've talked to a few long time bass boat guys who gave me good estimate on the value AS IS in its current condition... I'm looking to get 2k obo.... no lowballs, not Craigslisters trying to lie to me about its value trying to get me to pay them to take it away, etc. etc. etc... I'm fine with give and take and being fair in negotiations.... just don't try to screw me... I am motivated to get this thing sold and off my lawn...
