This 1993 Four Winns 285 Express is in outstanding condition according to the seller. Professionally maintained and according to the owner, there are no outstanding maintenance needs. Full service earlier this year. Upholstery showing some signs of aging but overall in very good condition. The trailer has issues with it's brakes. Guts of one of the wheels is missing the brakes and it is unsure if any of the brakes work. Also, part of the windshield has been replace with plexiglass and may be a safety hazard. Very good condition. 28' long with a 10'2" beam. I have owned this boat for 2 years, it's been well maintained. I own 2 boats and 1 must go. 2006 Four Winns 278 Vista An AZ boat since new and turn key ready for new owners. She is currently in the water at Scorpion Bay Marina. Powered by a Mercruiser 6.2 320HP and Bravo Three out-drive. All new canvas, carpet, bottom paint, seadek and camper enclosure in 2015. I have most of the service records in hand and the boat was and is being used on a regular basis. It isn't one that will have several non-use problems. An hour meter was installed at 346.8 (scanned real run time) hours. She currently shows 38.6 since the scan.. So real hours on the boat's 6.2 is 385.4 at the time of this posted ad.The genset is used occasionly and currently shows 248.9 hours. For those boaters looking for a big trailerable cruiser--legally trailerable that is.. with no more than 8'6" of beam this Four Winns V278 (called the V285 in 2010--12) will fill the bill. A very trailerable express cruiser. It doesn't get any bigger than this and they probably never will. As good-looking as she is, there's a lot to like about this boat from the standpoint of design and engineering. For the money, Four Winns builds a quality product and it shows throughout the 278. The cockpit layout makes the best use possible of the boat's slender beam with seating for four and a removable snack table that converts into a sun pad. A mini wet bar to port includes a carry-on cooler that fits under the counter. Below decks, the accommodations are tastefully appointed if not spacious. A convertible dinette in the bow sleeps two people, while a small aft cabin offers space for two more. The cherry trim is well finished, and the 278's six-foot headroom is adequate for most.
