It is fully molded, modular, foam filled fiberglass stringer system and penske board reinforced transom offers the stiffest, strongest method for reinforcing the hull, sole deck and transom, and because it is all composite you don¿t need to worry about water absorption. The hull comes with hand laid fiberglass, using epoxy based vinyl ester resin. The 22 boat is built to tough New England standards and comes with a 10 year structural warranty. The General Marine 22 was designed by the legendary Maine lobster boat designer, Calvin Beal. With her 9ft beam and semi displacement design, this boat has unparalleled stability and sea keeping abilities. General Marine has been building custom and semi-custom downeast boats since 1982. Our boats are hand built one at a time in our Biddeford Maine facility.
