2016 Sundance F19CCR The F19CCR has a yacht finish front and rear deck connected with a gunwale ring cap. The ring cap gives the boat top sides a much more finished look and allows us to use a larger and stiffer rub rail. We also use the best 316 grade stainless steel cleats and fitting on these models. This boat has the CC Console without a front seat as standard equipment and has our custom built triple rod racks mounted on both sides of console. The console is set up for a top mount binnacle control. A 24 gal fuel tank is located inside the console with a fuel fill located on the port side of the console. The instrument panel has a fuel gauge, voltmeter and a tachometer with a digital hour meter. A space is provided for a 2" engine monitor gauge. There is a Marinco stainless steel power point in the face of the dash for supplemental power for cell phones and hand held GPS instruments. A four switch electrical panel with circuit breaker overload protection and Johnson aerator pumps and automatic bilge pumps are standard. We have added wire conduits glassed into the floor at the hull edge for ease in pulling wires forward for trolling motors and other electrical equipment. A standard feature is a trolling wire harness and receptacle set using Ancor marine grade 6AWG tinned wire layed into the port side conduit for trolling motor. The steering wheel is a 15" stainless steel wheel coupled to a Uflex No-Feed-Back helm using the newest planetary gear helm system for solid smooth steering with no transmitted engine torque back to the wheel. The custom molded lexan windshield and stainless steel console hand-rail are standard as well. The stern and bow light poles are stored in clips under the front deck. The long rear deck has an 40 qt. aerated live well with a high speed pick-up. The high speed pick-up jets fresh water up to the bait well while the boat is in motion without the aerator pump running. This special boat is loaded with factory options, has less than 100 hours, and is in excellent condition top to bottom. This Cobalt is a true cross between luxury, watersports, and performance with seating capacity for 13. It was optioned the upgraded Mercruiser 5.7L Mag engine ($5150 upgrade) and a Bravo III outdrive with dual stainless props. Overall it is 26' long with the extended swim platform. This Cobalt has 96 Hours on it and is show through-out as it is in excellent condition. We are the second owners of this amazing freshwater boat. It has always been stored in a heated garage during the winter months. It has been professionally maintained each season and recently had a full service workup. There is an incredible amount of storage throughout the boat. This Cobalt performs masterfully. It navigates choppy waters like Lake Michigan with ease, tracks precisely at any speed, and has the power and torque to pull skiers and tubers effortlessly. It will run to 55+ MPH in strong fashion. It has been re-fit and updated in almost every possible way over the last 10 years. Pretty much the only thing left from 1965 is a bullet proof hull with the structural integrity of a Sherman tank that rides like a Cadillac in almost any sea condition. They start right up, run great and smoke free. If maintained properly these naturally aspirated engines can last a lifetime. Unlike their turbo counterparts they are not pushed to their limits and beat on to drain every ounce of horsepower at the expense of reliability. The tranny’s shift properly and all controls operate as they should. The running gear is corrosion free. The bronze props, stainless shafts and struts are in excellent shape and vibration free. With 420hp and 880 ft. / lbs. of torque the boat will cruise at 15-16 knots though almost any condition and max out at around 20kts. Wiring: The boat has been completely rewired to perfection using the highest grade marine wiring though out. On the 110 side from the 2 - 30 amp shore power receptacles to the 110 volt breakers, switches, outlets, lights and 30 amp battery charger and everything in between. On the 12 volt side from the battery cables to the 12 volt breaker panel, switches, gauges, pumps and everything in between was all re-done to perfection. The Tower: Constructed by a true old school craftsman and custom made for this boat, it is a work of art. Installed about 5 years ago it is in near immaculate condition. The bottom is in amazing shape. It only has a few coats of bottom paint since all the old paint was removed. Topside was recently painted, shines away and is in very nice condition. Thru- hulls: All thru-hulls have been changed and updated about 10 years ago. They are in great shape / open and close freely and are leak free. The Interior: The interior is in amazing shape. Some of the side walls and ceilings of the interior is actually original Bertram gel coat and have a glossy shine like new. The ceilings in each and every room where they are not the original gel coat were redone few years ago using high end marine fabric and trimmed with teak, they are in mint near flawless condition throughout. This year brand new heavyweight Berber carpet was installed throughout the entire boat. The V-Berth bed and 2 twin bed mattresses were also replaced this year with high end custom fit dense temper pedic type foam beds. They are so comfortable you don’t want to get out of bed in the morning. All new bedding this year and curtains were replaced as well. A few years ago brand new custom made teak cabinets were installed in the salon that hold the built in fridge, kitchen sink, microwave, 2 burner electric stove, stainless toaster oven and has plenty of additional storage as well. In the salon running the entire starboard side all new matching teak panels were also installed. Fuel System / Range: The boat is currently rigged with a 350 gallon fiberglass fuel tank that is in nice shape and leak and issue free. When the engines were rebuilt all new fuel lines were installed throughout. At a mellow cruise of about 14-15 knots your burning around 6-7 gph a side giving you a range of about 300 miles, coming home with about 20% of fuel. There is room to add up to more 3 tanks if you want to extend the range. The forward cockpit hatch which had the old antiquated generator could easily fit a 175-200 gallon tank or if you wanted to save that spot to re-install a generator you could add Saddle tanks on the outside of each engine gaining about 100-125 gal each, depending on your preference. Comforts: There is a built in 12,000 Btu A/C in the salon that cools the whole boat very nicely and also a 5000btu thru hatch portable unit for the forward cabin if you want A/C with the cabin door closed for privacy. There is a brand new hot water heater and its also equipped with a 100 gallon water tank so you have hot and cold water in the shower, bathroom and kitchen sinks. The head, holding tank and all plumbing lines and pumps in between are only a few years old and function as they should. Storage: Throughout the boat is plenty of storage. You can store 6 rods in ceiling of salon and 6 in forward cabin. The Forward cabin has 2 huge carpeted lockers, 2 dry storage areas under the V berth itself at the foot of the bed and under the bed itself. There is also an additional closet in the hall. The second cabin which contains 2 beds has a closet, a huge built in shelved storage area by the lower bunk and a built in night table with plenty of draw space as well. The bathroom has a very large 2 shelved storage area above the sink and plenty of storage below the built in sink set up as well. Lighting: Throughout the boat there is a mix of 12 volt and 110 lighting in each cabin area. All running, cabin and spreader lights operate as they should. You can spin her on a dime. This is because the chines are above the water where they won’t dig in. In high speed turns, her outside chine rises well clear of the water where it won’t catch and trip, while her longitudinal steps stop side slips. LESS ROLL – In a Beam sea, the boat is very stable because the V sections develop a strong righting action. Longitudinal steps act as bilge keels which dampen roll. The boat also sits proportionally deeper and is less disturbed by surface waves. Steers easy in following Sea –Because the Bertram has neither flat sections aft nor a sharp forefoot she performs very well steering in following seas at high or low speeds or trying to get in the inlet on a bad day. Unlike the flat aft sections of many conventional hulls that will pitch forward, yaw or even broach in bad weather. Softer ride –Due to the hull design not having an aft planning surface to jolt and jar the boat, the boat will ride more easily through rough seas and be able to cruise comfortably at considerable higher speeds than conventional boats of the same size. Designed by, built specifically for and to the specifications of the Company’s owner, for more than a year it graced the inside cover-fold of Hot Boat Magazine (two page ad shown), as well as Powerboat and other boating magazines as the advertising layout for the marketing and sales initiatives of the Company. It saw very limited use in demonstrating its unique features and performance capabilities to the prospective dealer network, the press, and a limited number of high-profile buyers. Regarding weight, the manufacturers' specifications list the boat (including motor) at approximately 4200 lbs, and the trailer at 1200 lbs. With respect to fuel requirements, this boat is set up for and will run comfortably all day long on 92 Octane pump gas (though my personal preference has been to always feed it 100 Octane fuel, recognizing its performance and storage superiority). As one might expect, this engine/drive combination is capable of gulping fuel quite briskly rate when passing the majority of other watercraft on the lake – the FloScan shows approximately 32 – 34 gallons per hour at 70+ mph. Reduce the speed to a comfortable cruise (in the 35 – 40 mph range), however, and the consumption drops to approximately a third of that, at about 11 – 13 gallons per hour. The engine has never been exposed to ethanol fuel, and during the time that the boat wasn’t in seasonal use, the fuel has been regularly drained and refreshed. Following its Drive upgrade, oil and fuel services, and annual professional "winterization" a few years ago, it was returned to its hangar and hasn’t gotten its feet wet since. While I have owned this boat for a number of years since new, the low hours attest to the reality that my collection of fair-weather vehicles – cars, motorcycles, boat, etc. – far exceeds the availability of fair weather days here in the Midwest. Due to the typically slow onset of Spring / Summer weather, as well as a series of unplanned, personal commitments, I’ve finally come to the realization that this, again, will NOT be the Summer that I’ve waited for. Purchased directly from Virage Performance Technologies, this was the first production Virage 265 hull to touch the water. Designed by, built specifically for and to the specifications of the Company’s owner, for more than a year it graced the inside cover-fold of Hot Boat Magazine (two page ad shown), as well as Powerboat and other magazines as the advertising layout for the marketing initiatives of the Company. Originally dubbed the “251”, its model designation was quickly changed to “265” to reflect the evolving practice of incorporating the swim platform in the overall length. It saw very limited use in demonstrating its unique features and performance capabilities to the prospective dealer network, the press, and a limited number of high-profile buyers. As such, it's loaded with all of the standard equipment (sales brochure shown) as well as MANY upgrades to increase performance, comfort and handling. Its fit, finish and attention to detail are of the highest quality. I purchased this boat “New” in January, 1998.
