The Hinterhoeller Nonsuch 36 features an unstayed cat-rigged mast and a large single "windsurfer-like" mainsail, supported by a wishbone boom. The top side has a traditional New England-like appearance and a modern and efficient underbody. The large main salon provides ample seating space with a large port-side L-shaped settee and a large starboard settee. 1987 Hinterhoeller Niagara Encore, A well-built boat is always the result of a combination of proper planning, good design and quality workmanship, all of which are evident in the Niagara 35. The cockpit, side decks and foredeck are well laid out with the convenience and safety of the cruising sailor in mind. The foredeck is large and there is a short stainless steel bowsprit with two anchor rollers for convenient handling and storage of ground tackle. There are teak handrails on the cabin top and sturdy lifelines and stanchions around the decks. The side decks are quite wide with a molded bulwark for a real sense of security when moving about in nasty weather. The cockpit is comfortable and there are two large seat lockers for storage.This particular example has been lovingly cared for by the present owner for eight years. Westerbeke 35D with 930 hours. Sailboat is for sale, "AS IS" Good condition. This is a very, very solid sailboat. Selling due to health issues, wife and ex-wife issues, grown daughter issues, and more issues, etc. This sailboat comes with the 4' draft, great for the Bahamas. This sailboat is perfect for single handling. It is basically a catboat. All lines come to the cockpit, you do everything except the anchor from the cockpit. This sailboat has only one giant Mack heavy duty mainsail (500+ square feet). The sail is like new, approximately 3 years old, previous owner said he paid $8,000 for it. The sail has 3 reef points that you control from the cockpit. The mast is unstayed so there is no worry or expense in regards to rigging. Sailing downwind you can put the sail out 90 degrees since there is no rigging to get in the way. When we were coming back from the Bahamas, wind was directly off the stern, sail all the way out 90 degrees, autopilot on all day, we were doing 10 knots and more. Everything goes with the sailboat.
