This vessel is in very good condition for its age. The owner has added a nice water pressure gauge conveniently located at the engine. There are no signs of mold or mildew. Inside, it smelled and looked fresh and clean. Other than a slight bit of oxidation on the chrome, everything was in tip top shape and very impressive. The seller has taken pride in taking such good care of her. She and the owner just came back from a trip to the Keys. Per the seller, everything is in working order. Stock #391985 ***SALE PENDING*** Classic 1994 Hunter sailboat that has lots of upgrades added Like most Hunter sailboats, the Hunter 29.5 offers maximum accommodations, a large comfortable cockpit, and reasonable sailing performance at an affordable price. The Hunter 29.5 was designed by Hunter's in-house staff under Rob Mazza. It exemplifies a boat that appears to have been designed from the inside out rather than from the outside in. Like all production boats in this size range, the Hunter 29.5 is constructed from fiberglass composites utilizing a modular type of construction. The hull, deck, structural grid, and interior components are molded separately and then assembled into the finished product with structural adhesives or secondary bonds of fiberglass and resin. The deck is cored with balsa wood, and the hull is a solid composite. There is a nice solid clear windshield which makes steering and navigating an easy task and also an upgraded hard top that will last a very long time. Also located atop the helm is a set of solar panels with a Jupiter inverter. The 29.5 has a rather large cockpit for her size that opens at the stern to a molded swim platform. At anchor, this becomes an integral part of the cockpit adding even more usable space. This is one of the 29.5's more appealing features, and it makes getting in and out of the water or dinghy quite easy. Wheel steering is at the helm at the aft end of the cockpit, and there are two seats incorporated into the stern rail for passenger seating. Although the seller has upgraded the wooden steering wheel, the stock wheel is included with this purchase. Because the side decks are narrow with rigging shrouds at the deck edge, to go forward, the best path is over the cabin trunk. The foredeck has a small anchor locker which will accommodate a 13-pound Danforth with chain leader and 100 feet of half-inch rode. There are also two sturdy anchor rollers forward. This vessel houses three anchors. Below deck, the cabin is wide open with the only privacy offered by a fully enclosed head. There is a V-berth forward, and the main saloon features a large U-shaped dinette that comfortably seats four adults. The head and a small hanging locker are to starboard, and the galley is to port with a two-burner non-pressurized alcohol stove, a refrigerator, and a single sink. Aft and below the cockpit is an athwartship double berth. Auxiliary power is provided by a two-cylinder, 18 hp Yanmar diesel contained in an engine box beneath the companionway steps. This workhorse of an engine dominates the market in boats of this size and is very dependable. Quick access for maintenance is limited but, if necessary, the engine box can be removed easily for more serious work. The 29.5 is designed with simplicity in mind, and the large mainsail and small fractional jib certainly make tacking and sail handling a breeze for the short-handed or single-handed sailor. Included you'll find an autopilot as well as an Autohelm handheld steering device Without a traveler, the mainsheet attaches to the steering console directly in front of the helmsman. Sheet winches are also within easy reach of the helm. The B&R rig features long spreaders that are swept back 30 degrees eliminating a backstay. This necessitates tacking downwind to avoid impaling the mainsail on the spreaders, but I think that most would not find this much of an inconvenience. With the proper tacking angles, this can actually be a faster way to sail downwind. For sale is a 1990 Sea Ray Sundancer 420 DA with twin 3208 turbo charged Cat Diesels. Horsepower rating is 375 per motor. With only about 1300 hrs on each motor they run perfect with lots of power and torque to get this boat up on plane fast and will run 30+ miles per hour unlike the gas engine versions of this boat. It is a 420 which means 42 feet but back in those days it was approximate. The boat actually is 48.5 feet LOA and is a true 14 foot beam straight down unlike the newer sea rays that measure 14 ft at the rub rail and taper down real fast loosing all the interior room. Walk onto a new 420 dancer after you walk onto this boat and you will think you are on a smaller 37 footer. This is a big Sport cruiser for the money. It also has a solid fiberglass hull up to the water line then is cored up the sides. The newer boats from 95 and up are cored hulls which do not have as solid a ride and flex a lot more. I feel secure in this boat hitting big waves. It has V drives with ZF transmissions which operate perfect. This boat doesn't have prop pockets so it steers beautifully and backing down on your slip is a piece of cake. She only draws 3.5 feet so pulling off the big water into small coves for the weekend is no problem. It has a forward master and mid/aft stateroom with closing doors and a very large sofa in the main salon that converts to a double bed by dropping the table in front of it and adding filler cushions, to accommodate six people comfortably. The aft stateroom also converts to a very large sitting/ entertaining area with a coffee table. It has a nice roomy head with separate shower stall and over six foot head room. The head has the Vaccu-flush system that literally sucks the waste out of the head to the holding tank. The refrigerator was replaced by the previous owner about four years ago, it has a coffee maker, three burner stove, built in counter blender, microwave, TV's, full size stereo and cd player below and cd/ stereo up top with amplifier. Three sets of speakers up top and two below which are separate systems. It has spent the last three seasons at the Bohemia Bay Yacht Harbor on the Bohemia River under a covered slip. The canvas, which is a hunter green, is in excellent condition. The two vinyl side windows were just replaced and are crystal clear. It has a rear Bimini top over the aft deck which is a perfect shade in the hot sun. I always have everyone hanging out on the back of my boat because of the shaded area. It also has a full camper canvas setup with screens and roll up windows which I have only used once and is in perfect condition. It has an off white Berber cockpit carpeting that snaps in and is in real nice condition. It has a separate captains chair, a large forward facing bench type seat, a rear facing wrap around seat and and aft bench type seat. There is a ton of room to bring a lot of people on this boat. It has a ton of storage space to bring whatever you might need for a long cruise. There is a 7.6 KW Westerbeke diesel generator that provides plenty of power while on the hook. It has two reverse cycle air conditioning / heat units that work perfectly to cool you off on the hot days or warm you up on the cool nights. I am the third owner of this boat and a lot of work and upgrades have been done to this boat over the years. I have tons of receipts and all the manuals for everything on board. The bottom was blasted and all bottom paint build up was removed when I bought this boat five years ago. I applied four coats of barrier coat and then used an ablative paint which washes off slowly as you drive exposing fresh anti-fouling materials to stave off marine growth. Almost like a bar of soap in the shower. This way there will never be a build up again. I only coated this the first two years and have not applied any since and the bottom looks fresh with no growth. This boat sold for over 400,000 new, I have the original receipt. This is a lot of boat for the money, if you're like me and want a very large cruiser but can't afford to pay 500,000 for a new one then you should come take a look.
