Riversong is a 1986 Hunter 28.5’ shoal draft sailboat that is ready for day sailing or extended coastal cruising! She has a very well appointed cockpit with a Raymarine ST6002 wheel autopilot, Raymarine e7 touchscreen chart plotter with wifi, Rule Aqua compass, and more. The bimini and dodger will keep you shaded from the sun and have zip in sections to keep you dry when it rains. Swing out speaker so you can listen to music while you swim and a ladder to get you back on-board. She has an anchor with plenty of rode to keep you in place. Down below you will find a full galley with stainless sink, alcohol 2 burner stove, cooler, microwave, 1000 watt inverter, and huge dual voltage refrigerator. The salon features fold out table, seating for 6, a television with boosted antenna, dvd player, am/fm cd player with bluetooth. She can sleep 4 comfortably (2 in the v-berth and 2 in the quarter berth), or 6 if you use the salon benches. The rear quarter berth has a hanging closet and drawers. There is tons of storage everywhere. The bathroom has a sink, shower (with hot water heater), and an electric flush head. There is a big hanging closet in the head as well. There’s even a wine rack under the v-berth for storing the most important of provisions. You can enjoy all of this in the nice cool air-conditioning provided by the on-board Mermaid A/C unit. Her sails are in great shape. She comes with a main sail (with 2 reefing points) and roller furl working jib (130%). The main sheet, main halyard, and topping life were replaced in 2014. The winches are 2 speed and in great shape. She also has whisker and spinnaker poles, but no sails to go with them. Her iron jib is a Yanmar 2GM20F in great shape. The fuel pump and starter were just replaced in 2014. The house battery is also brand new, as is the dual battery charging system. She comes with many other little things like a handheld VHF radio, extra winch handles, extra line, 30 amp shore cable, hoses, etc. I will have her bottom cleaned prior to taking delivery. 1993 Hunter Passage 42 - PROTEUS Set up for serious off-shore passage making and fully self-sufficient off-the-grid cruising. Has recently (beginning 2014) sailed in England, the coast of Europe and the western Med (2015) and crossed the Atlantic to the Caribbean (Nov 2015). Came up through the Caribbean (spring 2016). This yacht was never chartered, always privately owned, and meticulously cared for. All servicing and installations were done to a high standard. All safety equipment is up-to-date. The yacht participated in the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers) which requires a high standard of safety equipment, training, and inspections. The yacht has been certified as a Class-A offshore sailing yacht. All documentation is available and will be conveyed to future owner. The previous owners lived aboard, loved every minute of it, but are now moving back on land for a few years and do not want the boat to sit and atrophy. She needs to go to a good home and to someone who will continue the journey! She has taken care of her owners for years and will continue to do so for many years to come. S/V PROTEUS is "overbuilt" and designed for extended offshore passage-making and off-the-grid cruising. Just want to jump all the way down to the USVI instead of going the super-slow way all the way through the Bahamas? Okay. The previous owners just made a passage from the Dominican Republic straight to Ft.Lauderdale (March 2016). Seven days offshore? No problem. PROTEUS has a thicker hull, reinforced rigging, extra backstay (B&R rigs normally don't have them). Massive solar panels, watermaker, genset, wind generator – all these advanced features make for a yacht that can go anywhere, do anything, and actually be comfortable while doing it. The solar panels were upgraded in 2015, and the owners report that they lived entirely off the solar panels and almost never used the generator while underway. Occasionally, you'll hear people scoff at production yachts for being only for "coastal" cruising. "Oh, I'd never cross an ocean in that!" Not the Passage 42! Did I mention she's cruised in the North Sea and English Channel recently? When there were only aluminum-hull Ovni's and other "extreme" sailboats and expedition yachts at the docks, PROTEUS was right in there with the best of them. All image were made in June 2016 except the two exterior shots, which were made in Spain and Gibraltar in June 2015. More photographs are available on request. Here is an interior walkthrough. PROTEUS is on the coast of Georgia. Arrangements can be made for delivery within a reasonable distance on the US East Coast. Arrangements will be made to assist the Buyer in learning all of this yacht's systems. Current owner offers contact for any questions after the sale of the yacht. Final Thoughts from the Owner:We truly love this boat. Because of our time on PROTEUS, we will never be the same. Everywhere we go and everything we do for the rest of our lives will be colored by our experiences sailing this yacht. And it's not like we're ridiculously rich – we did everything on a modest budget, mostly on savings – but we did it, and you can, too. If you were looking for a chance to cut the lines and live like you always dreamed, PROTEUS could be that chance. It was for us. England, Ireland, Gibraltar, Morocco, half the islands in the Caribbean... it was all in reach, just outside the window. We look back on it now and think: "What on earth did we just do!?!" But we did. PROTEUS took us there. She'll take you there. Agua Therapy is a 2006 'Hunter 45cc' fractional rigged center cockpit sloop. She has had one owner from new, who took ownership in 2007. She is fully equipped for independent self sustaining short, or long term live aboard cruising, as her current owners have done over the past three years. She has a proven track record as an efficient Ocean passage maker taking her owners safely across the Atlantic from Europe to the Caribbean in January 2013 and cruising up and down the Caribbean island chain and East coast USA since then. She is easily handled by a couple or, even single handed, as all sail control lines are led into the cockpit where two electric winches do the hard work for the crew. There is no need to leave the safety of the cockpit unless rigging the cruising chute for light air sailing. Modern 'Raymarine' electronics takes care of the navigation as the auto pilot steers you to your next port of call or island destination. Alternatively, the 'Hydrovane' wind steering system can be used in place of the auto pilot to conserve electrical power and, has the added advantage of being totally independent of the on-board steering and rudder allowing it to be used as an emergency steering system in the unlikely event of a main steering failure.Agua Therapy has the benefit of 'in-boom' furling and, along with the electric winches makes raising, reefing and stowing the sail away easy, all from the safety of the cockpit. Close quarters maneuvering is made easy by the use of the 'Side Power' bow thruster. The installed 'Gori' folding propeller has the ability to be put into 'overdrive' mode giving an increase of boat speed of approximately 1 -- 1.5 kts for the same engine revolutions without overdrive. This improves both economy and efficiency of the propulsion system.Electrical power on board is maintained and supported by two 140 Watt Solar panels through their dedicated charge controller, backed up by an 8 Kw generator and the 80 Ahr alternator on the engine. The 650 Ahr house battery bank is charged and controlled by two 40 Amp 'Xantrex Truecharge II' battery chargers configured to deliver up to 80 Amps or, as a duel redundant pair in the event of one of the chargers failing.Fresh water should never be a problem as the installed water maker can produce up to 9.5 gallons of water per hour, making cruising only dependent on personal endurance and provisions carried. To support that, a full size front opening refrigerator is installed, along with a half size front opening ready use freezer. A larger countertop opening freezer is installed for bulk frozen food. The electronic control for this unit allows the temperature to be controlled as a freezer, or a refrigerator.Personal comfort when alongside or, when running the generator, can be provided by using either one of the two 1600 btu reverse cycle air conditioning units. One unit supplies the fwd cabin and the salon and, the other unit supplies the aft cabin and the salon.Long distance communications is not an issue as this boat is equipped with an 'ICOM' SSB radio for weather information, radio net and safety communications. Along with its 'Pactor Modem' and subscription package (not included), email communication and weather information is available virtually anywhere in the world. This sailing vessel has been regularly hauled for below the waterline inspection, cleaning and re-painting and was last hauled out in June 2015 for bottom scrub, rub down, anti fouling, hull polish and wax. As the cutlass bearing was showing very slight signs of wear, the opportunity was taken to replace it during this haul-out.'Agua Therapy' has been maintained to the very highest of standards by its current, and only owner and is being presented for sale in an exceptional condition. She is fully equipped and ready to go at literally, the turn of a key, only requiring a new owner and provisions before heading to her next destination.Having researched the global market for other Hunter 45 Center Cockpit boats, we can honestly say that 'Agua Therapy' appears to be the most well equipped, and probably the best maintained and cleanest cruising boat in its class being offered for sale anywhere in the world today. SHE IS PRICED TO SELL AND ALL OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED.*** For more info, or to view her, please call: (954) 559-5879 John @ Big Wave Marine Group
