It is held in place with carpet tape and hides an 18” x 18” cover in the fuel tank and another cover at the foot of the steps for wire chase

1976 Irwin Ketch The Irwin 37 a roomy, appealing, center cockpit cruising design introduced in 1971. Great boat for cruising to Mexico and coastal islands.  Well equipped for your journey.   Clearly the strongest point of the Irwin 37 is its layout, livability and considerable storage offered on a 37' boat. The layout of the 37 generally remained unchanged throughout it's production. There is a spacious aft cabin reached via a port side passageway from the mid-cabin main saloon, a separate galley to starboard and aft of the main saloon and a v-berth stateroom forward. There are two heads one next to the aft stateroom and one between the main saloon and forward stateroom.  Large comfortable berths and spacious cabins make this a very comfortable boat dockside and at anchor.

Significant price-drop, just in time for your SUMMER CRUISE! down $10k... owner not anymore actively cruising, so realizes it should go NOW to next adventurer! This boat has ALL the gear for long-distance proper voyaging... she's got a perfect "self-sufficient" set-up for Sea-of-Cortez overwintering (she's done it before!) Built for the Caribbean charter trade to the specifications of Stephen Lang, this vessel is similar to Irwin 37's -- yes, this one was also built by Ted Irwin's crew, but to significantly stronger scantlings AND much better interior trim. Center-Cockpit design gives two separated staterooms, two heads... and salon with in-the-corner galley and large in-passageway navigation center. This one has been seriously upgraded with LOTS of long-distance cruising gear! Watermaker, newer yanmar diesel, TWO high-frequency radios ("ham" set, also marine SSB), radar and chartplotter, autopilot, very stout davits to store big inflatable dinghy, FIVE anchors (!), and a robust upgraded 12v and 110v electrical system... hidden genset, and huge inverter! A substantial and comfortable home, where-ever she's anchored... Baja? Tahiti? this one will get you there AND papmer you once you're settled in....
