This classic vessel is perfect for trying your fishing hand or going for a float on the water. The Lone-Star fishing boat has some worn out seats, and areas with chipped paint. The motor runs well at low to mid throttle, but bogs down at higher throttle. A professional tune up would do wonders by getting the carburetor set-up properly (~$250 for a professional tune up). We never tried to pull anyone on skis or a tube with it, but after reading some boat enthusiast forums it appears that the 55HP Evinrude motor should be able to pull someone on skis or in a tube behind you. The boat has not been run in a year, but we would be happy to start up the motor for you if you are considering buying this boat. I have a 1965 LoneStar Aluminum boat, 23.5 ft Cruiser, with a 1979 Evinrude 150 hp 2 stoke outboard, new upholstery throughout the boat, new floors, 28 gallon plastic tank and a 6 gallon reserve tank, privacy head with a porta-toilet, VHF radio, 2 auto bilge pumps, 2 new marine 12v battery's. At the widest point the boat is almost 8ft wide.Very light under 2k lb, and easy for one person to launch. Also comes with a nice and tight 1995 Pacific dual axle trailer. Also have a 1976 Chrysler 6hp set up as a kicker motor, that starts and runs fine, that will go with the boat. I put a lot of time and $ but, it is an old boat that still needs some more cosmetic work. The boat runs good, (has new tune-up on the engines, carbs rebuild, new water propellers) looks good and handles Monterey Bay waves with ease. We went fishing in the bay almost every weekend, and with crab season we'll try to use the boat every day : Boat is located in Monterey CA. Trailer is tight, wheels are greased, tires are older but still good, lights work and needs a 2" ball. Boat and trailer registration current, clean CA title on boat with bill of sale for the trailer. THE PLAN WAS TO RE-POWER WITH A 4 STROKE SUZUKI AND BUILD OUTRIGGERS, CRAB PULLERS...BUT THE PAST MONTH EVERY TIME WE'RE TAKING TO BOAT OUT WE GET SEASICK. I TRIED THE PATCH, PILLS, DROPS, GINGER...NOT WORKING....SO, NOT MUCH FUN FISHING. Ask about my other boat with the 01 suzuki df90 4 stroke, with under 190hr, and my 04 Ford F250 6.0 diesel 150k miles, 5 speeds, extended cab, white...that I may sale as a package. Selling 1960 Lone Star aluminum boat , 15 ft. with 1960 Kiekhaefer Mercury thunder bolt 400 outboard engine with a clear Texas title. If you are looking for an old boat to restore, this is a great one to start with. This all aluminum exterior boat has been mostly kept inside and is in great structural condition! The fiberglass coated wood floor is very solid. The bottom and sides of the boat are very straight. It does need new interior though. The fabric is torn on the seats. The engine is a 45 horsepower outboard with electric start. It is a 4 cylinder motor. (fuel tank not included) It was last ran in 2003. It turns over freely, but does not start now. I think the carburetors need a good a good cleaning and it should fire up. The previous owner had it since 1980 and he bought it from the original owner. This 54 year old boat is in the best condition of any I have found. I bought it to restore, but have too many projects. Selling $1,175 Located in northeast Texas, near Paris, TX Local pick up only.
