The Silverton 34 Sportfish Convertibles were one of the most popular boats they manufactured, and this example shows why. It has an extremely dry ride via a modified vee hull with a dramatic hull flare. The cockpit is large and deep with plenty of room for chairs or fighting those big ones. With 7 rod holders and 5 rocket launchers, all rods can be at the ready. This model has a custom-made, but removable, tackle center in the cockpit. Custom-made cabinetry is also evident in the salon where there is plenty of storage. With updated electronics on the bridge, you are ready to go fishing or just cruising to your favorite spots. Up for sale is a 1995 38 Luhrs Convertible with triple 350 Yamaha outboards. The motors are 2008 with around 1,800 hours. They have new ecm's updated with the flywheels. The flywheels are under warranty till 2019 and will be updated at no charge at every 400 hours. The center motor has a new power head in 2014 summer. Two of the lower units have been replaced with new ones this summer 2015. The motors were just serviced November 12, 2015 also had the bottom done at same time. I bought the boat from the original owner in April of 2013. I put the boat on dry land till end of November 2013. The boat has the original Koehler 9kw diesel with 798 hours. Was also just serviced and runs with no problems at all. I replaced all three AC systems at the end of July with 16,000 btu Webasto units. One is for the front two bed rooms. The second one is in the salon and kitchen. The last is for upstairs where you drive. I installed a fresh water flushing system that flush's the motors with out hooking up hoses that uses the water from the boat. So motors are always flushed after every trip out. I removed the old diesel engines and had three fuel tanks totaling 850 gallons installed in its place. Also have a diesel fuel tank that is 35 gallons which will run the generator for around 70 hours. Most of the boat was rewired when retro fit was done and the entire boat is accessible threw hatches. All lights have been changed over to LED lighting. The inside of boat has been almost completely redone including the tiger bamboo floors. The coach is new and is also has a queen fold out in coach. The boat has satellite TV, satellite internet, and satellite phone. There is 3 flat screen TVs with central dvd system. It has a 4 camera video surveillance system that record 7 days at a time. It has a new bow thruster that was installed in 2013. For electronics the boat is set up with a 4 kw radar, 1 kw chirp technology transducer, Garmin auto pilot system. For head units I have a 5212, 741xs touch screens up stairs. There is a 541s down stairs that is networked into system. There is also a freezer plate that I installed in rear compartment for those long trips when you need to keep stuff frozen. On the other side of door there is a 40 gallon live well. The deck has new teak which is a no maintenance flooring. The boat has been painted from top to bottom with awl grip paint and has been waxed on 11/12/15. All upholstery is new also izon glass is new. On the front of the boat there is a 1,500 lb davit that I installed to hold a 12 twin vee on it. The boat cruises at 38 mph and burns 65 gallons a hour which is around 500 mile radius top speed is almost 50 mph. The boat has so many options you really need to see it. This boat is ready for any trip and 100% ready to go. Please only serious buyers. Will consider smaller boat trades. Since the pictures the top mini tower has been removed and does not come with boat. It was removed to allow it to go under bridge with out it having to be opened.

The command bridge is complete with a molded hardtop, electronics box, full forward facing bench seating, a comfortable helm seat plus a companion seat. There is a great console to house all of the instruments and controls and LUHRS includes extra storage as well. Visibility is excellent on all points. Fishing ability is enhanced by the wide cockpit featuring a sink, prep area, tackle storage and Transom Door. Also included are wash downs and 2 large in floor fish boxes. There are several rod holders and rocket launchers. Comfort does not take second place & the salon is bright and spacious with a full galley & settee. Rod storage is plentiful both overhead and in the settee. The private master stateroom offers a large mattress and plenty of room for gear. For Boaters who enjoy both fishing and cruising the LUHRS - TOURNAMENT SPORT FISHERMAN 320 - CONVERTIBLE offers style, solid construction, and a sensibly laid out design, an extensive list of features intended to satisfy both cruisers & fishermen alike & an affordable price. All of which results in one of the LUHRS company's most successful designs. For nearly 60 years the LUHRS Corporation has been designing & building boats. Their reputation has long been strong among coastal fishermen who were looking for vessels of solid value. In an attempt to influence customers who enjoyed fishing as well as the amenities of cruising boats, LUHRS introduced their Tournament series of Fly Bridge Convertibles in 1986. The 320 Convertible was added to the line in 1988 with a waterline length of 31ft 6 inches. The 320 Convertible was a break from the LUHRS tradition of bare-bones fishing boats and offered an extensive list of standard equipment. Items such as a custom aluminium tower, transom door, rod holders, fresh and seawater wash down pumps appealed to the fishermen while a fully equipped galley, a main saloon & an honest Stateroom with a comfortable Double Berth appealed to those with a cruising interest. The 320 Convertible remained in production until 1999 & used models are in high demand on the used market. Reinforcement of the hull is accomplished with fiberglass- encapsulated plywood stringers and frames attached to the hull by secondary bonds of fiberglass. Limber holes, drilled through frames and stringers to allow drainage, are sealed with gel coat. To LUHRS credit, this method of finishing exposed plywood edges is better than some that leave the wood grain exposed. Like nearly all production boat manufacturers, LUHRS makes extensive use of one-piece moulded fiberglass liners for interior and cockpit components. The benefits of moulded liners are ease of maintenance and reduced cost of construction. The deck-to-hull joint is fastened with adhesive sealant and stainless steel screws on 12-inch centres. A high-density plastic rub rail is added at the deck edge with stainless steel insert to help prevent damage from docking. Deck fittings and hardware are securely fastened with stainless steel nuts bolts & washers. There is plenty of room in the cockpit if an Owner wishes to install a game chair. Typical of Carolina-styled Sport Fisherman, the maximum beam of 320 Convertible is carried forward of amidships resulting in a very large fore deck area. The fore deck is flush and unobstructed by anything other than a single deck hatch. A welded aluminium rail that extends to just past the cabin surrounds the deck. LUHRS has provided conveniently placed handrails along the cabin for added safety. As with all boats of this style, there are necessary compromises in order to accommodate fisherman as well as cruisers. There is an insulated icebox along the port side and tackle locker and sink to starboard. There are two removable fish boxes below the cockpit deck and a walk-through transom door to port. While the Fly Bridge of any 32-footer is bound to have restricted space, the 320 Convertible can accommodate 5 people. There is a helm seat and mate's seat behind the helm console and a forward facing bench seat in front. There is plenty of space below the console and bench seat for storage of gear. This vessel has a custom welded aluminium Fly Bridge with a Moulded Hardtop & an overhead fiberglass Electronic Equipment enclosure compartment. The 320 Convertible is one of only a few boats of this style and size to offer a true Owner's Stateroom. The forward Stateroom is fully enclosed and features a centre island berth large enough for two adults. There is six feet of standing headroom and sufficient room, with the door closed, to change clothes without feeling like a contortionist. There are two good-sized hanging lockers on each side of the cabin and storage drawers below the berth. There are Rod Storage Racks overhead. Aft of the Owner's Stateroom is a head and shower to starboard and galley to port. The head is larger than most boats of this size and the shower is integral. The galley is compact & efficient with a Microwave Oven, a two hot plate counter top stove, sink and 110/12v front-loading refrigerator. The main saloon features a convertible couch to starboard and a convertible Dinette to port. Detroit Twin Marine Turbo Diesel engines are fitted as options at considerable extra cost. Due to the substantial cost, these were not popular choices and it is unusual to find a Diesel Powered 320 on the used market. The hull form is a modified "V" with a deadrise angle (the angle of the hull bottom to the water plane) of 18 degrees which is fairly typical of this type of vessel. It results in a smooth comfortable ride under all but extreme conditions. There is considerable flare to the 320's hull sides at the bow and the ride is very dry even in choppy water. Standard equipment includes hydraulic steering and the 320 responds to the Helm quickly and the boat is easily controlled. Hydraulically operated Trim Tabs control the Hull trim angle for changes in speed, sea conditions & the boat load. Designing a successful powerboat of this dual-purpose type is a delicate balance of compromises. The fact the 320 Convertible remained in production for 12 years and remains a popular choice among used boat buyers would confirm that LUHRS achieved the right compromises with this design.
