At the time of the listing, the boat was in very good condition as she had just been completely redone. All electronics and gauges in working order with no known issues. Since this is a dry stored lap-strake hull, this boat does have to spend some time in the water for the hull to fully seal. The bilge pump keeps up with the seepage with no problem. This beauty is a 1959 Lyman 16 runabout. The hull and interior is an all-wood construction. Most of which is Mahogany nicely finished with an Epiphany finish. Lyman built their hulls using a Lap-strake design which was later adopted by boat builders like Chris Craft. The hull is finished with patriotic flag blue paint. Although this is an antique, there are some more modern amenities onboard like modern analog gauges, GPS, stereo, and LED courtesy lights. You are almost assured to be the only Lyman on the water when sporting around in this boat. Make an offer and own a piece of American boating history. Reason for selling is not using.

Beautiful 20ft Lyman Runabout. Has been totally restored with new decks and transom. Planks replaced where needed. Repowered with rebuilt 351 Ford eng. I also have original graymarine that I'll throw into the deal. New upholstery and all the hardware has been rechromed. The only things it needs is a cutlass bearing, which I have ordered and a tach that works with the 351 Ford. This boat took 2nd place at the Buffalo Boat Show the year Lyman was the featured boat. I've sold my property in NY and don't want to take this to Florida. It sits on a tandem trailer with four wheel surge brakes. It is in Point Breeze, NY, available for viewing any time. This boat is in great shape. Restored using Lyman paint in 'Oyster' color, which is the original market color. Includes ORIGINAL TO BOAT Lyman Canvases, all cushions, and burgee. ORIGINAL outboard runs well and Gator trailer. Garage stored it's entire life. This is a charming little gem of a boat full of class and nostalgia, not a worn-out 'project'. Is not perfectly boat-show ready, but is beautifully restored for actual lake use. First time on open market. Boat is in SE Wisconsin.

1965 Lyman 19 ft Runabout The restoration of a 50 year old runabout "Pelican" started life in Ohio on Lake Erie at the Layman Boat Works in 1965 Layman are known for their lovely lines, steadiness in the water and quality construction. The company started in Cleveland, Ohio in 1875, then moved to Sandusky, Ohio. Those Clinker-built mahogany lapstrake hulls are unmistakeable. They produced runabouts under 25 feet. "Pelican" went to upstate New York and spent summers on many lakes including Lake Niagra and Chautauqua Lake and the Niagra River. Sadly, her owner passed on and she was eventually donated to a local benefits auction, Bought sight unseen by a boater in Los Angeles, she was towed to Florida and then trailered to inland Los Angeles. After sitting in a dry garage for a couple of years, she was put up for sale not having been in water since she left New York. The owner sent Phil DuPre the shipwright, up to Las Angeles to inspect and survey the Boat. Phil returned with a positive report and shortly there after Phil went back to LA to tow her down to San Diego. She arrived on September 11th 2012

The original Johnson 35 HP Seahorse electric start, electric choke, motor is included. Dash panel includes brass hull plate with boat hull number 50139 and panel for bilge pump, horn and running lights switches and fuses. This package includes a retro fit removable rear seat back, two OMC portable gas tanks, original TEE NÉE tilt trailer new wiring and lights, spare wheel and tire, flag poles and flags. Boat finish is in great shape and top deck is a mirror finish. Last time in water was mid July 2015 with no leaks. Outboard, has less than 2 hours run time since lower unit rebuild and impeller replacement. motor has been repainted with original decals. Manual and parts list included with purchase.
