The crossover LXR runs 20 feet and takes features of the Response line’s four-time world-record-breaking TXi and immensely popular LX models to create an agile, versatile towboat equally capable of world-class slalom flats and big, clean wakes. Malibu’s focus on its world-class ski pedigree is stronger than ever; the LXR, which replaces the LX, is the latest in a long line of innovative, award-winning performance ski boats. Malibu’s design and engineering teams focused on creating a sub-20-foot, go-anywhere super-sport package with a practical, roomy open bow—as well as an attractive price tag—in response to huge demand from waterskiers and wakeboarders the world over. The LXR tracks true, handles beautifully, and lays down perfect, competition-level slalom flats. Yet with a beam slightly narrower than the TXi’s, it also offers clean, rampy wakes for wakeboarders when you add the Manual Wedge, making it an ideal crossover towboat for families and multisport enthusiasts.
