For your consideration is a 34 Marine Trader double cabin, it is a bit of a project as the topsides need attention. It is a perfectly usable boat as is and is ready to go anywhere but it needs paint and the teak needs refinishing. The original teak deck was removed and it now has just the fiberglass deck which has a little give when walked on but it does not leak. The interior is very nice and it has good electronics, Radar, chartplotter, auto pilot, marine radios, generator, heat and air conditioning, windlass. The bottom has fresh paint. The engine has around 5000 hours which is my best guess as the original hour meter has expired and the replacement is on a switch so it may not be exact. There is a 10 Brig dinghy included with a 4 horse Yamaha that runs well. I would take this vessel anywhere it just needs some tlc and someone with the time to do it. This is a super nice Marine Trader 34' Diesel Double Cabin Trawler. I am the third owner of it. It is a 1985 which is the first year for the re-designed flybridge cabin. Prior years had issues where the cabin fastened to the deck that caused rot and soft deck problems. This vessel has always been in fresh water and under cover. It is a very solid boat with one exception. The upper deck has a couple of soft spots. It is the Achilles heal, so to speak, of these boats. If you research this problem on line you will see that the problem was because they used left over mahogany plywood pieces for the fill material. Mahogany plywood has oils in it so the resins failed to bond after time. I cored drilled a hole to verify that there was no moisture problem and there is not any moisture issue. You can see the core drill and plug in the upper deck picture. There are several ways to correct the problem, and I actually have a kit to do the work, but I thought it best to let the new owner choose his own method. That is the only real issue with this boat. Now for the good stuff. These boats were all hand / custom built in Taiwan. They are built like tanks and have tons of teak wood inside and out. Every piece of wood you see in the picture is real Teak. All of the interior doors have hand carved oriental scenes on them. The floor is all inlaid teak. There are 2 full baths. One in the front quarters and one in the rear captains quarters. The captains quarters has 1 double bed and a single bed. The front quarters has a very large Vee birth. Lots of storage cabinets / drawers everywhere. There is a table for the central area but I have it stored. I was not using it and it made it easier to open up the engine bay with it off. Cushions are all original and in excellent shape. The last time she was pulled was 5 years ago. All was good at that time, but it is probably due for another inspection out of the water. I would not anticipate any issues. The engine is a Ford Lehman Diesel with only 900 hours on her. Lehmans can go for 30,000 hours before needing any major work. It has a range of 1,000 miles on the 300 gallons of fuel she holds. Both tanks are currently full. The engine starts right up, even after sitting for 5 months over the winter. Trans shifts great and makes no noise. Truly a great running boat. It is super easy to winterize also. It does not have a gen set or marine A/C. It does have a brand new window A/C unit that really cools the interior down fast. There is a great working windlass with chain up front. I have a name of shipper that can ship this boat just about anywhere in the US, and he is very reasonable. He is located close to where the boat is. It is currently on the Mississippi River near Alton, Illinois. Zip code 62035. It is in a covered slip in a safe marina that you can keep the boat in until you can have it moved. The 136 HP single American diesel engine with 3791 hours and a bow thruster. These are extremely reliable engines and can go as long as 20K hours . The generator is a Kohler 8KW with only 494 hours. The boat has two state rooms. The master state room has a true queen size bed that takes a standard queen mattress. The second state room has a double bed in it. The salon is very spacious. There is an L-shape couch and table that drops and makes a third bed. There are also 2 other chairs in the salon. The boat is a galley down model with a new propane stove and dual voltage refrigerator. The wood work in the cabin is in extremely great condition there were never any water leaks and the windows were rebidded as a precaution. The floor is also highly finding wood with area rugs. The boat has dual controls allowing you to run the boat from the fly bridge or the cabin in bad weather. The boat cruises at 8 knots and burns 2.8 GPH. The boat has 2 fuel tanks 125 Gal each for a 250 total giving this boat 700 mile range. The fly Bridge is very spacious as well allowing company to enjoy the view as you cruise around in style. 1981 C&C Yachts C&C 41,This boat is the C&C 41 Redline mold that was purchased by Capital Yachts and produced as a Newport 41. I state this upfront because I am posting as a C&C on boat trader because this is the likely audience to be interested in this vessel as the C&C 41 and the Newport 41 are synonymous. In the pricing of the SV "Kaze" I looked at C&C 41's around the Internet. Most are offered between $69K - 85K. Various levels of equipment and condition. I took the lower range of 69K, applied a 25% discount for the vessel being produced as a Newport resulting in my price of 51,500. A tall rig with a massive J area. There are 2 headsails an 85% and a 160% the 160 is great in the San Juan's where most of our cruising is done. The aux is a universal diesel 40hp with about 1700 hours. Nice engine runs well. 6.5 knots or 6 knots towing a dinghy. "Kaze" by the way has always been here in the San Juan's. The main sail is in fair condition and the head sails are good. There is a dodger and Bimini in green. The deck has been changed from off white to a gray non skid. At the helm there is a folding wheel and full instrumentation. GPS chart plotter, radar, ray marine sea talk auto helm and 2 depth sounders. I have found this setup to work quite well. If a potential purchaser does not want or care about this electronics package. I am happy to have it all professionally removed and give you a discount further. This equipment makes pleasant long passages and short handed sailing. The design below is the standard design. V berth 2 hanging lockers and a linen cabinet. Head is large and we essentially use half of the head as a closet. The salon has a U shaped settee that easily sits 6. The settee also makes to a double berth. The couch across from the settee is a comfortable single berth. The double berth aft in my opinion is only a double berth for children. Otherwise a single berth. The interior is warm with lots of wood, nice lead glass cabinet doors, good stowage and light. Very comfortable area for lounging. Oil lamps, wood burning stove for heat on the hook should you like. The galley consists of a double sink H/C pressure water, propane 3 burner stove / oven and deep ice box. I did add a small 12 volt refrigerator under the nav station. One interior caveat I will make is the headroom is about 6'1". So this may not be a boat for tall people.The cockpit is roomy and has one very deep lazzerette with lots of room and one shallow lazzerette. There are 2 propane lockers aft with 2 10# tanks one for the cabin and one plumbed for the BBQ. "Kaze" is well equipped for cruising the islands and all equipment and tools stay with the boat. Including a very nice Honda iu 2000 generator which we use on the hook. 2 sets of ground tackle. I will include moorage until May 2017. $51500
